Why has Pennsylvania been such a battleground lately?

Growing up in the early 2000s and mid 2010s, there was little doubt Pennsylvania would go blue in a presidential election, and in 2012 there weren't that many TV ads on the presidential/senate races. Pennsylvania wasn't also considered a top 5 battleground, let alone the most major battleground back in the early 2000s and mid 2010s. But today, why has Pennsylvania been such a big battleground? Outside groups spent a combined 1 billion on ads in the presidential/senate races in 2024, compared to just $20 million on ads in 2012.

Has anyone gotten an interview for any position for Associated Students?

Just wondering, has anyone gotten a response or interview for Associated Students positions? I've applied for around 10 or so positions and tried tailoring my resume as possible but I keep getting ghosted, is it that competitive?

Why has the battleground map shrunken so much since the 2004 election?

Back in 2004, 12(!!) states were considered battlegrounds but 20 years later it has shrunk to 7 states, what’s with the shrinking battleground map?

Realistic prediction for 2026?

With the generic ballot with Hispanics hovering around D+35 from multiple poll aggregates, Dems stand a good chance of flipping TX-15 and holding TX-35 and potentially making TX-23 and FL-27, FL-26 competitive with good candidates

Move back in with parents or find roommates after graduation?

Hello, I will be graduating university soon and I am conflicted on whether to move back in with my parents or find roommates to live with. For context, I currently go to university in a big city an hour away from hometown and I really enjoy the city life even though it is more expensive than usual than my hometown. However my extended family want me to move back in with my parents to save money to put a downpayment towards my first apartment/home, while my friends are encouraging me to find roommates to be more independent and be close to where all the tech jobs are located. I've been on Facebook and I've already locked in a deposit for a room that is around $900 in my city when I move out of the dorms soon. As much as I love my parents for raising me and giving me an education, they are very strict and everytime I visit they always want me to sleep at 11pm and set unreasonable curfews. There's also nothing really much to do in my hometown (110k people) compared to the city I am in right now. I also value my independence and want to have more time to discover myself and hang out with my college friends instead of going back to my boring hometown. What do you guys think?

I’m so sick and tired man, took months to land a retail job only for manager to say that they cant move forward with my application if I can’t commit to having my full day open and I have to work the god damn 4am shifts. I also do not want to job hunt in this one hell of a market. As a student, I am genuinely offended on how little empathy these managers have when scheduling. A part time job is supposed to be “part time”. At least this job beats being unemployed but come on, why?

I finally landed a job after months of searching and I got one recently at Whole Foods. However my team leader wanted me to do 4am shifts or they can’t move forward with my time working there. What’s it like working 4am shifts and what time do you go to sleep? For context I’m a college student looking to pay tuition anyway I can and I don’t want to look for another job in this market.
