Do only basketball players get these?

Do only basketball players get these?

I have one (not a basketball player) but I can’t see to find any of these online anywhere. How do most people get these?

What are the chances this package isn’t scanned for the whole delivery?

Purchased a laptop from eBay. I trust the seller enough to know they have shipped the item and it just wasn’t scanned initially. I’ve read a lot of threads about this and I’ve read sometimes it will get scanned at the next facility (I’m in Cali so most likely Oakland facility) but I’ve also read it doesn’t get scanned until it arrives at my door. How common is it to not be scanned until my door?

Mostly wondering because it’s worth ~$1600 and I would prefer to know in advance so I’m there when it gets delivered.

Also I know 3 days isn’t a lot of time compared to the horror stories of 10+ days but it is priority mail so in theory it should arrive Aug 19/20 and should be in California probably Aug 18/19 where I’d expect a scan.

How long after a seller ghosts you is concerning?

Context: decided to purchase a laptop from a relatively new seller. It was fairly priced and I ask some questions. I know generally sellers don’t like buyers that ask questions but this seller was very responsive and answered everything.

Then after I bought it they just ghosted me. No response in messages and the package hasn’t been shipped. It’s technically day 3 since the purchase which I know is relatively early but should I be concerned since they went from responding within a day to just ghosting me for 3 days with no info on shipment via eBay?

My only thought is they maybe regretted selling it for too low but they renewed a 10% discount for me after talking for a few days so I don’t think they would’ve gone through all this trouble just to get an account strike and not get any money after all this effort.

Applecare+ necessary when 3rd party repairs exist?

Just curious to people who have done 3rd party repairs if Applecare+ is necessary. I am currently looking at 3rd party refurbished (ie ebay, best buy, etc) M4 Pro MBPs since the listing I was looking at on Apple's official refurbished site got bought recently.

For the spec M4 Pro MBP 14" 12C/16C 24GB/512GB, I can find some in almost new condition (cosmetically/performance/battery) for anywhere around $1600-1800 ish. The cheapest 3rd party openbox/refurb with applecare+ eligibility is $2000 (with another $300 for a 3 year plan), or $2120 for an official apple refurb with 1 year applecare warranty (albeit M5 Pro instead).

So I would be saving $200-400 and the applecare+ subscription but would be stuck with either 3rd party repairs or uninsured apple repair prices.

Is applecare+ necessary when 3rd party repairs exist?

8ams really that bad?

Context: taking UGBA 10x which only has 8ams (TuTh) and had an enrollment time of 3:20PM so i was forced to take the Wednesday 8am discussion section. (so 3 total Tuesday-Thursday)

I just wanna say I kinda feel blessed with my schedule given how late my enrollment time was and I'm not really in a position to change my schedule (given UGBA 10x is always 8am and the waitlist is full of non-haas students so I can't just unenroll and reenroll to a different discussion time).

I do wanna ask though if 8ams are really college-experience breaking for most people. For the past like 10 years I've woken up at 6:30AM for school and for probably the last 2-2.5 years of high school I have been able to survive on 4-6 hours of sleep a night while maintaining ECs/a 4.0 in 7 classes/yr (5APs/yr) and a league of legends addiction.

I obviously don't want to have a poor sleep schedule though so is maintaining a healthy sleep schedule while participating in social events possible? Cause I've read a few posts and the 2 main reasons I see people sleep late is 1) social events and 2) last minute studying. Are the weeder classes really hard enough to need 3am study sessions?

Any input helps thanks!

Edit: If it matters, I am in Unit 2 and the walk to the Haas Faculty Building is 12 mins (prob 15 mins since it's uphill) so I am not too far, at least compared to a CK resident going to Rausser

Can I count reselling as income?

Context: incoming college student (in California, going to college in California) who has ~6 weeks until I move in so I’m unable to get a normal job. For now I resell stuff on Facebook marketplace and want to apply for a credit card.

Am I able to record my reselling profit as income in order to get approved for a student credit card? I am fine with paying taxes if needed since I know I need ~$3-5k/yr income to be approved using the free prechecks.
