So some of you were right 😅

Turns out I got a little overexcited thinking it was a split happening, but I will gladly take a flower bloom too! I'm just excited it's thriving!

I think I've got my first split starting!

That small opening was not there when I moved it to my window this morning.

My addiction seems to be growing

In less than a month, I've gained 11 succulents with this Echeveria menina being my first non-mesembs succulent. I feel like I've joined a cult.

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Ground"

Welcome back everyone, it's time for another Fifty Word Fantasy!

Fifty Word Fantasy is a regular thread on Fridays! It is a micro-fiction writing challenge originally devised by u/Aethereal_Muses

Write a maximum 50-word snippet that takes place in a fantasy world and contains the word Ground. It can be a scene, flash-fiction story, setting description, or anything else that could conceivably be part of a fantasy story or is a fantasy story on its own.

NO AI GENERATED CONTENT: Follow the sub rules.

The prompt word must be written in full (e.g. no acrostics or acronyms).

No puns and or wordplay to achieve the prompt word i.e. devote=the vote.

Please try and keep things PG-13. Minors do participate in these from time to time and I would like things to not be too overtly sexual.

If you want to submit multiple submissions that's okay, but please keep it at a max of two That way, no one person ends up dominating the feed with their submissions and it keeps it fair for everyone who participates

Thank you to everyone who participated whether it's contributing a snippet of your own, or fostering discussions in the comments. I hope to see you back next week!

Please remember to keep it at a limit of 50 words max per submission.

Well, I added two more 😅

I have to stop though, they ran out of the pots I like in the size I need and I had to get a plain terracotta one. It bothers me too much to get more (and I'm running out of space lol)

I may have rapidly gained a problem lol

I started with the first one and then I kept thinking about them and realized I wanted more. So I went back yesterday a couple weeks after the first one and got the two in the other pics. They looked like they could use some love and care seeing as they look a little thirsty and they both have some leaf damage. Just repotted them when I got them home yesterday, now I just have to wait for their first watering with me to make sure their roots have healed from the cleaning.

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Twist"

Welcome back everyone, it's time for another Fifty Word Fantasy!

A brief heads up, I may not be as responsive today as I'm supposed to be having my living room window replaced. It all depends on when they show up, so just in case I'm not replying, that is the reason, but I will get to the replies when I am able!

Edit: Window guy never showed 🙃🙃

Plant people, I need your advice!

I recently picked up a lithops from Lowe's to try my hand at keeping plants again since I read they're fairly hardy. I grabbed a small bag of the Miracle Gro for cactuses and succulents to replant it in before winter hits but learned that even that version of just plain Miracle Gro is no buneno for them and could benefit from some drainage materials. What's the best place to get some pumice and perlite to mix into the soil for when I replant it?
