Melton Truck Lines Q

Hey yall!

I have a phone interview with Melton and have no idea what to expect. My biggest worry is the fact that I've job hopped around, and they wont take me because of that.

Werner Call

Hey yall!

Almost done with schooling and finally got to talk to Werner about my application.

I need the good and bad on Werner.

I was told this DG account may not be there when I get my CDL in hand, and they automatically asked if I wanted to go Team (which I dont really want to do honestly).

Give me the unfiltered version of them.

My record is clean but I have job hopped around a bit (which Werner was iffy on).

I just want a place where I can pay my bills, pay off some debt, gain experience, and bring my dog with me.

Applying to Jobs

Hey yall!

Been doing some research but I'm hoping to hear from others.

I have my CDL Permit and test out week after next. Looking at pet friendly companies (I have a little dog that travels with me alot personally) besides Swift and Werner (heard good things on Swift, unsure on Werner but a recruiter comes to school tomorrow to talk).

Located in FL Panhandle as well if this helps!

Parents think animals should die naturally, I have a differing opinion.

As exactly as title states.

Backstory: my mom has a dog that has Congestive Heart Failure (unsure the grade). He's to the point of shaking, moving his head weird, and closing his eyes. I made a comment of how he is in pain and needs to be put down but my parents think differently than myself.

I am the type that thinks if a dog is in pain, suffering, and the QOL is going down, its time (I have lap of love to go off of for my senior dog). My parents (my dad specifically) on the other hand, think they should just die naturally and vets are taking our money with euthanasia.

Then we get to human euthanasia..which I also have differing opinions with that.

My parents stick to their guns and there's no changing their opinions. My dad also states dogs have a higher pain tolerance BUT.. dogs dont show pain until its too late (someone can prove me wrong with this if this is not accurate).

I'm unsure what to do. I'm tired of seeing my parents (especially my mom) not care.

We had a dog that was getting incontinent and weak in the back legs. Eventually, we put her down but not after a while of her being like that. We've had dogs die naturally too.

I guess I'm more of an empath? Idk.

Not too sure what to do..super dysfunctional family.

I wish there were multiple flairs for this, but I'm at an end again..

I grew up in a really dysfunctional family (both parents alcoholics to the point where it was violent, being dragged by my mom to places for the night, me being 'violent' to my dad as a kid, my dad dragging me out with him being drunk). Still, parents have arguments and I dont get why they're together. My parents are sober 20+ years FYI.

With that being said, my mom has supported me most of throughout life (even financially), except when I took on a role that made her not happy (I danced. There were times when she would text me and tell me that all I'll be is a stripper hoe shaking ass-or whatever it was but it was along those lines). Would get lied to and say she did support me and not care that I did that..

Anytime I speak up, I get either "I'm sorry" or just a general shrug of the shoulder to where she would give me silent treatment or get pissed off. Try to turn the tables on me (I realize my mom probably has some narcissistic traits).

My mom likes to live vicariously through me (idk if it's really that) but my mom wants to do things that Ive done, or talk me into something she wants to do/has wanted to do. If i try to fight, my mom will be pissed off at me and threaten me. Shes also threatened to kick me out of the house if I dont get a job. Shes also threatened to not pay for my school if I dont know what I want to do.

If I dont see something last minute while driving, she'll make a snide comment of "well thanks! Youre the navigator" then when I speak up, its a hissy fit.

Also, recently if I forget the name of something then its a "how old are you?"

I'm mentally exhausted anytime I'm around her. I love her but I dont know what to do...

My grandma (her mom) has passed (which my mom has 100% changed since the passing of my grandma).

My grandma has made comments that my mom wants me to do things she wants to do.

My mom also lies. I asked my grandma why she lies, my grandma told her, and I got questioned why I would ask such a thing.

I'm looking for advice. Anyone have these experiences before? What did you do if so?

Also. My mom doesn't abide by my boundaries I have set.

Sorry this is so long...just trying to get advice because I truly dont know.

Idk what to put on the TLDR though....

Maintenance ripped up all carpet on walk through..

Hi!!

First time poster here. Never had this happen before until now.

I scheduled a walk through for a move out and have a dog that was in the apartment. I did my best to clean up any staining throughout my lease. All dogs are out of apartment when I was moving FYI.

Maintenance was roughly 30 minutes late and told me that usually people that want someone there for walk through, is because something is wrong.

He noticed a stain and then pulled up all carpet to look under. Is this normal?? Isn't the pet deposit for stuff like this? Plus, how do we know if the staining on the underside of carpet was all from my dog?

Thank you!

Was this a lucid dream?

Hey yall!

Im a VERY vivid deamer, to where I can also remember dreams after waking up. I also dream about the same thing multiple times as well. Some dreams I remember years later (one in particular is stuck in memory lane).

Anyways. Last night I dreamt of a river I was going down in a canoe. I had a dog with me because it was loose and I found the owner. I was warned on certain areas of the river where you shouldn't go to. At the end of this dream, the group of people and I went off the ledge of this river. It was 100+ feet high. I was dodging tree limbs on the way down and was told they keep breathing and not hold my breathe yet. I hit the water and hit bottom (what it felt like) and then swam up. I was some how breathing in water on the way up then once I reached the top is when my dream shut off and I woke up.

I went to the bathroom and said I wanted to finish my dream. I entered another dream, and thats when I was asking if someone wanted to hear that dream and then I started to describe the river incident.

Any advice what this might be called if not a lucid dream?

Hi!!

Sorry if my screenshots show I'm all over the place with this person, but I did a little research on what not to accept (apps) and then her not telling me what time works best (assuming she wanted to meet me right at 4).

Something feels off. She's an active buyer with no reviews. Also, her location shows Miami (which is where she last sold at). Never tells me how local she is to me.

I've had to ask her the same question over a couple times. Shes okay with cash only after I apologized to her...but I also dont want to be murdered since I live alone with no friends here (I have dogs but my one dog literally will be okay with being stolen).

Screenshots are shown with our interaction-I know I'm asking alot of questions... Please tell me your opinion.

She offered $50 less right out the gate (hour after posting) too-which I'm okay with.

Hey yall!

I'm attending my first Nascar race next month and curious what time I should get to the track?

I'm going to the Sunday race and have never been to a race before (except drag strip back home).

Any tips on the race too when attending?

Thank you

Hola!

I'm currently a flex at a grocery warehouse. Things have just changed last minute and I'll be moving back home in July. When is the appropriate time to start trying to go into transferring to a warehouse by my house?

I just started and literally didnt see anything coming so soon for this to happen. My manager said to do hardship but I have no reason on hardship....
