How does counselling work? do we have to pay for waitlist beyond itr 1? Qs abt refund policy (HELP - esp seniors)

How does counselling work? I've been looking things up regarding what happens when you dont get alloted a seat in initial iterations, that you'd be put on a waitlist but what do these "initial" itr mean?? is it itr 1 or 2?

How much must be payed at the start of counselling? do we need to pay to participate in itr 1? (excluding preference form)

If we get a seat thru later (3/4/5) iterations, but drop the seat, in august, how much of the fee would be refunded?? (from 3.3L)

This section is specifically for seniors:

I got 156 (PCB) is it worth considering counselling for b pharm for hyd campus? my other option is Bpharm from Manipal

Help!! PCB seniors, especially MCOPS, rank estimation help

hi!!

There are a few people panicking in here regarding cutoff and if they'll get thru because there's little info for healthsciences and MCOPS people

We need some samples to get an approximation of how the ranks would be, so ideally seniors who have given MET in 2023/2024/2025 can help with their MET score, band score vs rank

Seniors who have their rank from prev years along w MET score and band score,& year PLEASE drop it in the comments

also mention your course and total marks since its diff for specific ones

thanks a lot <33

this would really help us out

23s1 B Pharm paper review & memory based questions

English was really easy, even the passage was really direct. Chem was easy too, mostly focussing on direct questions, but few NAT Qs I struggled w as I forgot some formulae. Phy I can't comment much on as I wasn't that prep, but 70% were doable if you knew basic theory + formulae.

Phy & chem is pretty much the same as Btech ppl so you can check in r/Manipal_Academics too

Biology: Very straightforward questions, I felt confused in 1 evolution Q , few deleted questions and also 1 Q that I've never come across 😭 (P/O ratio of NADPH -- I'm literally just looking this up), even NAT questions were pretty easy, but 1Q from principles it was asking the probability of double recessive genotype in

bio qs

 1. P/O ratio of NADPH (have no idea what that means??)
 2. biomagnification occurs for what (opts: nitrogen, CO2, O2, DDT) (DELETED SYL)
 3. Gene pool leads to what (opts: mutations, increasing variation)
 4. Functional Residual Capacity direct Q (FRC = ERV + RV)
 5. Probability of double recessiveness in dihybrid cross (this was NAT question, to be ans in decimals)
 6. Lenticels are useful in? (opts: Conduction, Transpiration, Photosyn, Gaseous exchange) (DELETED SYL)
 7. How many organelles are involved in photorespiration? (DELETED SYL)
 8. What is the ploidy of endosperm in angiosperms? (opts: 3n, 2n,n)
 9. Which is the most stable ecosystem? (opts: Tropical rain forest, pond, grassland)
 10. What is used in the synthesis of cDNA? (opts: DNA polymerase, RNA polymerase, Ligase)
 11. How many genotypes does ABO blood grouping have? (opts: 9, 4,6)
 12. Universal receipt is which blood group?
 13. p = 0.8, what is the frequency of heterozygote? (NAT Q) (use p + q = 1 and then find 2pq, i got 0.32)
 14. chiasmata is seen in which stage of prophase 1? (opts: zygotene, diplotene, pachytene)
 15. Number of chromosomes in zygote (this was a NAT q)

**I will keep updating as I remember the questions, if anyone is writing tmr's shift, pls dont forget to rev: evolution, breathing & exchange of gases, photosyn, resp, biotech, ecology) REVISE EVOLUTION + PRINCIPLES OF INHERITANCE PROPERLY

read this from deleted syllabus: Photorespiration, Biomagnification
