What do you do when the teacher is out & student has a bad meltdown?

For context we have a student that is in the wrong setting (shocker, I know😒) & this student is completely non verbal, doesn’t participate in any of our lessons or small groups, runs around throwing stuff off tables all day, pulls our hair, I got slapped in the face yesterday by this student, self harms, cries excessively, stems so much, etc.
Well whenever there is a sub and the student gets out of control, we tend to call the office so Mom can pick them up. Is this the right thing to do? We have to handle the other students who are learning, listening, participating, etc.

My 7 year old called me a f****** b**** during a meltdown.

Any advice on how to proceed with this? I’m a single mother and father isn’t as involved as I wish he was. My 7 year old had a meltdown out of nowhere. I tried my best to calm them down but nothing worked. I sat next to them and asked how can I help, kept a calm voice, and gave them light squeezes. Child said they didn’t know why they were frustrated and started self harming (hitting head) so I had to hold them down. As I did that they called me a fucking bitch. I am jaw dropped.

What are some ways I can have the least contact with my coparent?

I’d like to block and have a third party person be the one in charge but I know that won’t work.
