I'm making a set of rainbow Miis and I want to give them fun, punny names. So far I have Rosie R. Red (roses are red) and Orange U. Gladys (aren't you glad), but I'm totally stuck for yellow, green, blue, and purple! does anyone have any ideas?
IM GONNA LRDER SOON
UPDATE: right after I posted this the waiter came to ask for our orders. I ended up getting the bacon cheeseburger. I asked for no mayo and they put mayo on it but it was fine. sorry to disappoint
My dog, Itsy Bitsy, has this tattoo to mark that she's been spayed. It was one of the first things I noticed about her after bringing her home, & at first I tried to wipe it off because I thought it was marker. At the time, I had no idea they sometimes used colored ink! For a little less than a year now, I've been considering getting the same tattoo to match with her. She's my favorite little lovebug and I want to carry a part of her with me forever, and I think getting a tattoo to match with her would be a nice (& maybe a bit silly) way to do so. This would be ny first tattoo, & I think it's a great candidate for that because of its small size and simple design. However, I'm not sure anyone else shares the sentiment that it's a sweet idea. I've mentioned the idea to friends once or twice & they just looked at me like I was crazy. I guess it's because of the original meaning behind the tattoo, & it would kind of look like I was marking myself as 'spayed' if I put it on myself. Personally I find that idea sort of funny, but I'm worried it's actually a very stupid idea to get this tattoo and I will come to regret it. I'm 18 right now, & I would probably wait an extra year to be very sure before really going through with it. I guess I just want to know if anyone else sees my vision the same way I do.
When I was eight years old, I was diagnosed with a type of bone cancer called osteosarcoma. I've been cancer free for around 8 years now, but am still living with the negative effects of chemotherapy and surgery.
This is my closed ecosystem I started in 2022, from a creek near my home. In its early days I remember it had these small, skinny red worms living in it that I thought were pretty neat. I was showing and explaining it to my (now ex) friend and this jerk went and popped it opened all willy nilly to take a closer look! Who even does that? Four years later and I still hold a grudge. The little red worms all died shortly after, probably for unrelated reasons. I've been thinking about starting over for a few years now but I always miss that window of time where the creek isn't too dry.
Anyways I was looking at it close for the first time in a few months and there are what I think are little teeny water fleas! It's impossible to get a good picture of them but they have teeny heads and round bodies and move by jerking around. I'm so pleased that theres still (animal) life in here after all this time. And that plant is doing well, too! This thing lives on my windowsill and I think it's great.
My cat, Slinky, died in September 2022. She was only 8 and was supposed to have so much more time, it happened so suddenly. She was here and then she wasn't. I loved Slinky so much and I know she loved me too, so I was absolutely gutted when she died and I had all this love for her and nowhere to put it. At first I had plans to turn part of her ashes into a necklace or something similar so I could always keep her near to me, but I never got around to it. That idea isn't too appealing to me anymore. I have a space cleared out on my bookshelf where she rests with her paw prints given to us, and that's it. That was a really, really hard spot in my life for me but eventually I was able to stop feeling so weighed down by her absence. I loved her, and she loved me, and that wasn't going to change just because she died.
Today, for whatever reason, I'm feeling extra sad about her death. I have no idea why I'm missing her so much more than usual. I want to add something to her little memorial spot but I feel like its been so long since she died (it feels like forever ago and also only yesterday) that it would come across as strange to suddenly be so openly mourning her again. I want to print out a picture of her and get it in a nice frame, maybe with a sweet engraving on it. But I feel like the time to do that was in the time after she died, not after all this time has passed.
I do volunteer work feeding (dead, frozen) quails and occasionally chicks to owls. I'm not the one who preps the feeder birds, but I am the one who gives them out once they've thawed. like 50% of the time, the quails head isn't attached to the body. Recently i ended up giving a bird one quail body and three quail heads!
i've also had incidents in the past with pigeons and chickens being beheaded from an animal attack. not fun! why on earth do the heads come off so easily?
