Vented gas fireplace with fake logs in condo please recommend what we could do to spruce it up?
I do not know what the model number of this fireplace is. It’s about 25 years old I’d like to at least replace the yucky looking materials on its floor . What should I do to do it safely? Or should I just leave it alone? We are selling this condo.

What do you recommend for recessed warm diffused ceiling light bulbs ? And warm over the sink spots? And over high ceiling stairwell with plants viewed from below? Help! Condo for sale

What to buy/ have ready for daughter/son in laws young family on moving day?
They have great movers. I’m talking about what I can bring or get to help with that day and the first few days.
Yes I will run this by my daughter but what am I forgetting? They are just moving across town but they have a one year old and mom is 4 months pregnant.

Paper towels
Rags
Cleaning stuff in case
Tools
Shelf / cabinet liners
Pack n play
Temporary black out shades (baby’s room)

What home assist should we get? Or should we just use WIFI?
We are seniors (77 and 79). My husband is technical though.
Our daughter and son in law have Nest x Yale smart door lock, so we are familiar with that. They constantly have to change batteries, or they get messages saying the door is unlocked when it IS locked (we tested this).
We will have Google Fiber.
I have an Apple Watch.
We have TVs and use ROKU for all the streaming apps including Direct TV live.
We have Lenovo laptops either Windows, and Apple phones (his is iPhone 11, mine iPhone 17 pro max.
I don’t know if we care at all if we have a whole smart home, but I like using daughters smart lock as it’s so easy to get into (mostly).
I read that if we don’t have a smart home that we should just get a smart lock that uses our WiFi.
Please tell me what you all think , MOSTLY IF WE DONT WANT TO DO THE SMART HOME THING. We have health issues not serious but hey we r old and really want things to be simple.

Anyone get a Home Energy Audit fromGreen Leaf Energy?
We’ve been living in a 2013 home with fabulous energy efficiency. Long story short, we are moving back to Austin and cannot afford this sort of home there. We will be looking at homes about 2400 sq ft, built in the 80s or 90s so we want to get a REAL energy audits, not just an ECAD audit. Their website says $299+.
Anyone out there who has used them? They sound great.

What would you do?
Bought a lovely home. I have no problem with the color of the cabinets but the floor ugh. Also the trim and chandelier so outdated.
What’s is an affordable way to update the cabinets? I don’t know how to update them because the trim can’t just be pulled off. As you can see on one of the photos, the tile is adjacent to wood floors that do not match the cabinet color.
Also I’m tempted to pull off that sort of added on table that’s connected to the island.
