I'm a new player and every loss is on me

I'm a new player and every loss is on me

Started playing a month ago. I'm not gonna complain about matchmaking, bad teammates or wanting easier games. I don't care about going against level 100 players or losing.

Every loss couldve been won if I played better, but I'm not a good player right now. My average accuracy is 25% and all I can focus on is improving myself. If I was better we win.

So that's what I'll focus on.

My favourite moment so far

We know Shin isn't known for his tactics. This moment had me laughing

Is kiriko's healing autoaim?

New to OW. Sometimes when I play kiri, I throw my heals out and it only seems to heal for 20-30%. But in the range it heals closer to 40% or the value is much higher.

Even in game when someone's playing cover and I'm healing them, it doesn't seem to heal as much. Is it possible to miss ofuda's with Kiri or do they all connect, as long as the diamonds over them?

Only two things get considered when balancing (imo)

1.Will not changing this push away a big portion of the playerbase?

- Early dive meta caused support uproar - Mega support buffs/Dive Nerfs
- Poke meta made divers unhappy - Buffed dive
- Triple support meta made community unhappy - Ult charge reduction
- Solo tank complaints peaked last season - Release OP dino to encourage second tank (It worked)

  1. Is the character profitable/popular?

- For this reason, characters like Luna/Phoenix will never get hard nerfs and will get buffed if they fall off too hard.
- Characters like Blade/BW/Fan will never get reworked or buffed to be strong. They're just not popular or profitable

Made a chivalry focused realm in Burgundy. Now it's looking a little more diverse

Edit: I'm going to give some context since people are confused about my intention in this playthrough.

I'm more interested in RP lately, and with being an Emperor. There's so many vassals in a realm I just can't care for. I needed 4 vassals to fill my council so I looked for a kingdom with 5 Duchies. Burgundy seemed the perfect choice.

I noticed Burgundy had alot of different terrain. So I thought, if my vassals need to defend these lands. I'd rather have vassals that dominate the terrain of the duchy they hold.

- Viennois is hills/plains which is perfect for Mangudai who get bonuses in these two terrains (Now Mangudi)
- Savoy is all mountains. So it's a perfect place for a Georgian lord with Monaspa (Now Monaspan)
- Upper Burgundy is Plains/Farms so a perfect place for Cataphracts to roam (Now Cataphrace)
- Transjurania is a mix but I wanted a vassal with Crossbows, so I gave it to the Hans (Now Hannit)

I love the tale of King Arthur and wanted to recreate that, A realm of honourable & chivalric Lords. Only managing the 4 Dukes and making sure their heirs are honourable as well, has been the most fun I've had in this game.

I wish AI Adventurers had more functionality and weren't just decorative NPC'S.

One of my RP Ideas was to create a dynasty full of Adventurers. So I went and completed both adventurer decisions only to discover AI adventurers literally afk and do not take contracts.

5 years after two of my house members became Adventurers. They had a family, had courtiers but both were sitting below 50 gold after 5 years. I think adventuring is good for the player, but AI adventurers do nothing for majority of their lifespan.

Is Ou Ki the greatest general in Kingdom?

I've made it to the first fight with Renpa, however I did look at some top 10's out of curiosity. To my suprise, Ou Ki was a top conteder in every list but never in the top 3. He wasn't top 3 strategist nor top 3 strongest fighters, in the videos I'd seen.

Is Ou Ki considered the greatest general, because he has the most all around skill at an elite level? Elite General, Elite Combatant, Elite Leader. Is there anyone else you would say is a greater general?

Or do you disagree and think Ouki should be a top 3 strategist/combatant?

Tips for getting good?

Recently came from MR. My games have made me realise how easy MR is, but also how bad I am. How does one actually get good in this game? I'm 1-7 so far and I'd like to get better at tank/support.

Any MR players here? What's your opinion on the game?

Haven't played MR in close to a month. I am missing that hero shooter experience and was thinking of jumping into OW.

If there's any ex rival players here. Is the experience the same? or what's the differences?

One change I'd like for warfare in future updates.

I'd like for every regiment to be implemented as its own entity. If I have a 10 stack of infantry, I can't distribute 300 to one army, then 300 to another army etc. I'd have to move the entire 1000 to a single army.

It's very inefficient. If an army on my northern border has 300 archers, I can't split off 200 cav to go deal with it. I'd have to send the full 500-800 cav stack to handle it, which is not only overkill. But costly and inefficient

Just an idea of a change that could give warfare more freedom.

My favourite artifact that still brings me Joy

Ever since the first time I ever picked up this artifact, It's always been my favourite thing to have. Unsure why, but in every playthrough I always try to obtain the Sassanian Sword. I just love this artifact.

Made Burgundy a Arthurian like realm with Greek/Georgian/Han/Mongol Vassals.

Focused on the Chivalric code. Chivalry shall prevail

I strictly play in 1/2x speed and it makes campaigns more immersive

I used to only play 5x speed. After a while I felt that things developed too quickly, big battles were done in less than 2 seconds. Events would pop up constantly and I didn't even care about realm management and world events.

Playing on 1/2x speed made the game much more immersive. I actually care about Vassals and the tutoring of my Dynasty. Looking around the map for cool rulers to befriend. Try a 1/2 speed campaign and see how you feel.

Team players do not fit well in this selfish main character community.

I call myself a flex player because I'll fill what the team needs. If supps are getting dived I'll peel even if I'm solo peeling. If there's a flyer, I'll go hit scan or someone with a gun to shoot them. If supps are struggling to pattycake I'll play Adam/Ultron to help. If enemy is on full poke I'll play shield and soak the damage.

But I'm done. Last game had solo tank venom and three dive dps into Penni, Namor, Scarlett and we lost. Another game they have double flyers and my team runs full melee and I'm the only one with a gun shooting both flyers. Enemy team is full poke and my tanks will run thing/rogue until it doesn't work, then swap to 3rd/4th DPS. This community is extremely selfish. They will never play what the team needs, they just will play what they enjoy.

Froze the magik. Pattycaked my other supp, got magik 40% and what does my other support do? Isolates herself in a room away from clap and the team. This is why I hate support players.

I'll never understand the thought process there

I've only played CK3 a bit over a year. But after joining this sub and seeing all the CK2 comments, I'm curious to see what CK2 was like.

Any good youtubers or videos I should watch?

As someone who only played online competitive shooters. I got into this game last year and I've loved the attention and care the developers have put into this game. Ya'll don't know how truly lucky you are to have a good dev team, who actually cares.

Every DLC has been a hit to me personally. The quality of life updates are awesome and this game has so much depth.

I feel like the devs spoil us with how much love they put into this game.

This is my alt account but on my alt and my main I have a 55-60+ win rate. I've noticed that comes with getting matched with some atrocious players. Recently I had a 0 final starlord, another game I had a full team of 10% winrate players and another I had a 4 final tankpool.

Today I've decided to lower my winrate to 40% and see how matchmaking will treat my account differently, compared to now. Definitely some things I've noticed

- After the two losses getting 0-2'd. The next two teams I had were 100% significantly better than the enemy team. Very easy to tell the teammates I was given were much better and could probably win the 5v6.

- Matches definitely aren't designed to be balanced. Both teams having equal skill is not a factor in matchmaking. It seems to skew in one teams favor to bring a win to the below average player.

That's all I've observed from today. I'll continue tanking my winrate to understand how matchmaking works, for both the above average and below average player.
