Possibly purchasing a 27 Vistiq Sport, how do Canadians find the range?

I put a deposit down today on a white Vistiq Sport. The dealership suggested this as the Vistiq is selling so fast they can't keep them in stock. They did not have any for me to test drive so I'm going in a little blind. The one I put a deposit on should be here in a couple weeks. Everything looks so nice from what I see online. I need 3 rows and the Escalade IQ is a bit out of my budget so this seems like a nice compromise. It can still tow 5000lbs too like my current SUV, which is a plus.

However, the range is my only concern. I used to have a 2018 Volt (my ex has it now). The EV battery range would half in the winter and that worries me. The manager told me it isn't an issue with the Vistiq but I wanted to know what people who actually drive one have to say. I mostly stay in town, occasionally driving to visit my mom 350km away and other road trips.

How is the range for those in colder winter climates? Does the cold affect range and charging a lot or is it negligible? I'm trying to be more informed instead of impulse-buying like I always do.

I was originally looking at a 26 Tahoe but the Vistiq is the same price and not gas/diesel. I want to move away from a gas car if I can.

Anyone Install their own upgraded sound system in a 2024+ LT?

I'm considering upgrading the base sound system in my 2025 LT. I bought a demo model for a really good discount, it was a great deal for a single mom who needed a larger 3 row car, and the higher trims were a bit out of my budget at the time. Luckily mine came with pretty much every other add-on option (driver confidence package etc).

I think the sound system is pretty good for what it is but I wish it had more speakers. I'm considering going through my Chevy Dealer's Parts & Service department to do it. I've talked quite a bit with the guys there while waiting for car maintenance to finish up and they are ALL about certified aftermarket mods. I recently got a quote for some nice 22" aftermarket rims that they can dip hot pink for me before installing. They are excited to do it. They have a whole 'Customz' department and occasionally sell modded cars through the dealership.

I was wondering what people added, how much it cost, how they upgraded, maybe who they went through to get it done, or if you did it yourself. Or even if you bought one that had the Bose system and decided to upgrade, what did you choose to do?

My Traverse is the first car I've owned that is completely mine and I want to customize it to my liking as much as I can because life is too short to not enjoy things.

I am extremely happy with my Traverse, and a friend of mine liked it so much they bought their own 2026 last Friday!

Anyone else's husky's fur grow back a shorter/unusually less fluffy undercoat after a weirdly early coat blowout?

My husky, Navi, blew her coat in June. Normally it is around Feb/March and Aug/Sept. It's grown back seemingly shorter or thinner, making her look kinda weird because I'm used to her being really fluffy. She is normally medium-length and fluffy. She's still adorable, but it's so odd. She's almost 5 and this hasn't happened before.

It's been abnormally warm here right now and for an extended period of time. I live in BC in drought-stricken wildfire central. Its been over 30C daily for nearly 2 months, which is really unusual. I wonder if that is affecting her coat and wonder if anyone else is seeing anything similar. I am not 100% what triggers furricane season so maybe can get some insight.

First picture is now, 2nd picture is her normal coat. Not sure how noticable it is, but in person her coat looks noticeable less fluffy.

My Sister's 2026 CX-5 GT - errors, check engine light then died and won't start.

My sister bought her 2026 CX-5 GT 3 weeks ago. She did a ton of research and decided on it after a test drive.

This morning it threw her a ton of errors, the check engine light started blinking then it died. Now it won't start, the key fob doesn't work.

She's gonna call the dealership tomorrow, its closed today. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them with a 2026 model, and what the issue might be. Maybe I can give her some insight and hopefully make her feel better until she can get it looked at. She loves her car and is really upset right now.

5 Months in, I still LOVE my 2025 LT

Honestly, I was worried after I traded my '25 Trax is for it. I needed bigger car and took a small negative equity hit but it didn't turn out too bad because I bought a reduced price Demo model Traverse that made up for the loan roll over (moral of that story is to make sure you know what you need before buying a car).

I came to this subreddit, and did Google searches and just seen a lot of negative opinions, experiences, and takes. I thought I made a mistake. But the longer I own it the more I am loving it. I have had no issues and have passed 25000km, so hoping it stays that way. The dealership service department I go to has been very helpful and easy to work with.

I'm a 41 yr old woman who got her license at 36, so I am still in my 'new driver' phase I guess and just like driving around. I have a white LT. I chrome-deleted my grill myself, leaving the bar thing the badge is attached to silver, and I have made my badges hot pink, and put a hot pink heart over my gas door. It's the first car (aside from the Trax I traded in), that is all mine and I am enjoying making it match my personality.

Driving the Traverse is fun. I find the turbo lag is not really that bad and it kicks in quickly most times. I drive economically when running errands and can keep my mileage around 10L/100km or lower most trips. And if I wanna drive like a teenager, it literally smokes every car I've ever stopped at a stoplight next to, except a green Challenger I kept up with once so he squealed his tires and roasted at the next light. I don't really speed like crazy but it is fun to occasionally do fast starts from lights at night when there isn't that many people out.

Its super roomy and my kids love it. I have a 6'3" teen boy and he fits fine in any seat. I have put a full built Captain's style twin bed in the back with both rows down. I have towed a trailer for dump runs just fine. And the safety features have stopped me from running over a cat that darted behind me when I was backing into my driveway.

People may say bad things about the Traverse, but I think it is probably the most fun car I've ever driven, and I've driven a few different vehicles like a manual Mercedes coupe, manual Mitsubishi Lancer, a Volt, an Armada, a 2026 Equinox (loaner car), an older Tahoe and a few others I can't remember now. Only listing for comparison. I know some people here have had issues, but I know people who are having problems are more likely to speak up or ask for help. I wanted a positive post for people to see.

Anyway, this is my ode to my new Traverse. I am so glad I upgraded, it was worth the extra carryover because I love my car not living with regretting my purchase

I have a new 2025 Traverse, it's the first car I've ever bought by myself and I don't want to damage it. I have been finding small web strands across my windshield and dash the past week. My car in general is clean, I even recently vacuumed and cleaned the interior, so it isn't because my car is dirty. This little guy somehow got in and has been chilling somewhere around my dash. I do NOT want it to scare me at some point while I am driving around.

I looked up some ways to get rid of spiders from cars but I want make sure sprays like peppermint oil or lemon/citrus cleaners won't damage the interior of my car. If anyone has any suggestions here for something safe for my car vinyl/upholstery that would be great. I don't even care if the guy is killed, I want him driven out of my car though before he scares me.
