Is there a texture pack that makes new Minecraft mobs look old?

Saw this video by ImNotaCasualty where they made modern mobs like the goat look like they came out during Minecraft old days. Is there a public texture pack that does this? Been playing with Golden Days but that pack doesn't change mobs past 1.13. Would be cool if there was a texture pack that applied the same design philosophy of Alpha and Beta Minecraft with the modern mobs.

What's your stance on using gun mods with horror mods?

Horror mods exceed when they take away the power of the player. If there's anything that doesn't do that, it's a gun mod. They all have the similar quality of being really overpowered against even modded mobs. It becomes less like surviving against them and more like hunting them down as mild nuisances.

On the other hand, I also find the idea of using guns to fight the mobs those mods add to be quite thrilling on occasion. It gives underdog vibes taking on inconceivable horrors with a very conceivable weapon. It's probably why the Seal Team 6 vs. Horror trend on YouTube even came to be in the first place. Who cares about immersion when you can shoot Herobrine in the face with a glock?

What are your thoughts on this? Do you avoid gun mods when playing Horror Minecraft? How do you use guns when playing Horror Minecraft if you do?

The Backwoods is an underrated mod I wanted to share!

Backwoods is based off of The Woodlands YouTube series by Studio Allka. It adds a world made entirely out of oak wood and oak planks. The same mobs seen in The Woodlands are also present, called Splinters in the mod.

What sets the mod apart from the series is the fact that multiple dimensions are present and interconnect with each other, all with different designs centered around wood. You can get to these dimensions by letting one of the mobs teleport you to them, find certain structures, or travel a certain direction.

The mod is still early in development, but it already has an impressive amount of content. There are new items, a sanity system, advancements, and many different types of mobs beyond the ones seen from the Allka series. I think it has a lot of potential to become a great liminal space/horror mod, and I'd love to know what others who played it think of the mod.

Nostalgia (Liminal Spaces) is an underrated mod I wanted to share!

Basically, it's a liminal space mod that adds weird dimensions that can be entered via touching glitched blocks in the Overworld. The dimensions are called Nullspaces, and there are currently five of them. These are some screenshots I managed to take when exploring each!

As many may notice, this mod looks very similar aesthetically to mods like wonderland.jar and untitled.log. Unlike those mods (which are cool in their own right), Nostalgia isn't really about the horror. There are definitely scary things in the mod, but the real goal of the mod is to provide really high-quality dimensions that evoke a sense of nostalgia for old Minecraft while exploring, and trigger memories one may have when they first started playing.

The developers plan to add six new Nullspaces along with new blocks, items, and mobs! They have a Discord server that can be joined on their CurseForge modpage. Would love it if more people knew about this mod and check it out. Maybe a small YouTuber could give it a play when it becomes more fleshed out.

By the way, we seriously need a showcase flair or something similar, so more people feel inclined to share mods or resource packs that deserve more exposure in this community.

What lore would you like to see to expand upon gluttony for the Court of the Seven-Headed Serpent?

Ever since we got more context surrounding Leviathan and the Drowned Choristers, it made me think once again about the eventual subfaction for the Court of the Seven-Headed Serpent that'd be based around gluttony, or at the very least, lore we might get that expands upon the Seat of Hunger and those connected to it.

If Moloch and Leviathan can both embody envy in two different but interesting ways, how would you like to see gluttony for the Court expanded on lore-wise that doesn't get overshadowed by Beelzebub and the Black Grail?

The little we do know about gluttony for the Court is that the seat dedicated to it is vacant and constantly fought for by lesser fallen angels. Who do you think are these demons? Beelzebub is so readily considered the Sin of Gluttony in media that it's kind of hard to imagine other beings vying for that role too. Would love to learn more about them and why they're embodiments of gluttony too.

What about the mortals that follow the gluttony branch of the Court? Why do they serve the Throne of Hunger when the Cult of the Black Grail is right there? What's the mindset like for Heretics and half-demons (Praetors, Sorcerers, Yoke Fiends, etc.) that serve gluttony in that context? Personally, I'd like it if the Seat of Gluttony revolved around excess on literally everything, and not just food. It's a catchall sin for overindulging on anything and ruining the lives of others just to amass more on what you're addicted to. That's why there's armies for that seat at all. While the Black Grail is all about homogenizing all life through infection, those that serve the Court or Heretic Legions as gluttony-sinners are promised the selfish desire to have more of whatever they crave.

And what would you want the plot to be? For me, The Broken Script is top of mind. It already has a well thought out story that could easily be translated into a movie. Either it could tell the story of the original players that fell to Integrity, or it could be about new players uncovering the mysteries of what happened to them. I could see it being made like a found-footage film, more specifically a screen-life (think Unfriended). Everyone would be playing Minecraft and communicating through Discord, all the while the entities slowly pick them off one by one in real life.

On the flip side, I could see a movie taking place within the Minecraft universe itself. Some mods like the Cave Dweller and The One Who Watches would also make for fun creature-features. Ancient Builders or other humanoid NPCs would be forced to face them as they get slowly hunted down. Maybe the film could be animated in a similar style to Marcus Yu's videos on YouTube, with a hyper-realistic style to really push home the fear factor.

Ducats are the primary currency used by both the Faithful and Hell's mortals. It's also the currency used to buy units and items when making a warband. Despite not having a lot of lore dedicated to them specifically, I'd still like to talk about them. The economics of a world aren't usually the first things people are excited about hearing about, but it is often where the richest and deeply thought-out lore is hidden.

So yeah, let's talk about them! What'd be one Trench Crusade ducat worth in modern currency? Is the cost for units and items in the actual game mechanics accurate to how much they'd be in the lore? How much would normal things cost, like food and clothing?

Economists who are well knowledgeable on the real-life ducats and the economic landscape of WW1 are more than welcomed to chime in!

A weapon in common use by Islamic forces during the Crusader (1099-1187), Ayyubid (1187-1250) and Mamluk (1260-1516) periods. It is made of unglazed ceramic and embossed with grooves and tear drop-shaped designs.
