what is this rating inflation
I haven't been playing much chess recently. Now I am playing, I get to like 2202 bullet rating, and I AM AT TOP 89.8% - not even top 10% with 2200+ bullet rating. This used to give you like even almost top 5%. crazy...

I am bringing a very essential, almost a matter-of-life-and-death issue to your attention.
When I arrived here in February 2026, obviously as an EARTHLING, I was keeping right. That's what we do on planet Earth. Walking on the left, climbing stairs on the left, driving on the left - took me some time, maybe 2 weeks. Felt ridiculous at first. But we are human; it is our nature to adapt.
Unless you dumb (high chance) ...
So many people on the Monash Clayton campus or literally anywhere on the street don't even know how to walk. I am an international student myself. Why is it so hard for some people to adapt the THINGS of the country they moved in, even temporarily?
The more left I keep when I walk or on the stairs, the more on their right they go. I am sick of bumping into these people on the campus. And the worst part, they don't even know what "went wrong". So it means they gonna keep walking on right. Should I verbally inform and educate each person on the campus or what
message is clear: KEEP LEFT. walk in the left side of the path. JUST KEEP LEFT
When I hear people complaining about drivers "Oh people can't drive!!!", for all these road rages, all that car, traffic-related stuff, I calmly reply: "People can't even walk mate". Just, for my sake, do this thing called walking, you have been doing for idk 25 years, do one for me. Just a bit different. For 20 minutes, walk around, observe people like you watch dashcam videos of stupid drivers. 90% of the people don't check their "side or rear mirrors" when they walk. They walk in groups of 6 people, invading the path. They sideswipe. They cut randomly across. And EVEN they extremely suddenly stop and bend over (YES, IT HAPPENED, I DID HIT HER, from, you know, and... I had to explain the situation to her, like I did something wrong, crazy...) I am fed up, bro, this is so basic
Why is Toyota not bringing the Prius back to the Australian market? Any idea or theory on that? It is so frustrating. Especially the last generation (2023 onwards) Prius cars look AMAZING, and they are extremely fuel-efficient, like only 4.2L per 100 km
Hello guys,
I was wondering if anyone would lend me their scientific calculator if they don't need it for this semester. I will return it in November. I am taking this FIT5197 Math-heavy unit and they say we will need it every week. I am studying at Clayton campus. I would really appreciate it (for you info: i am not a blonde hot girl, just a dude, don't get false hopes)
Hello everyone, I am a complete beginner in Greek Mythology. I have watched Troy (2004) and The Odyssey (2026) movies this week. I loved both. I always heard the stories, here and there, but never watched any movie about it or even read. Now I have started to read some introductory books on Greek Mythology. Anyways, I wanted to highlight and ask one point:
I have come across this character, Diomedes, a great warrior, almost as good as the famous Achilles. He is even stronger than both Hector and Ajax. However, in none of the movies mentioned above do we see him. Why? How can a great warrior of his time be absent from the two main Greek Mythology movies, each being 3 hours long? Not even one scene?
Why Diomedes's PR is so low?
I have some bad news: in 3 years, Australia's population will drop under a thousand people. I have come to this conclusion based on all the used car ads I've read, because all the car owners are moving overseas, and therefore, they are selling their beloved cars.
Like seriously, it is so annoying to hear the same exact fake reasons in every description 1) I am moving overseas. 2) I am upgrading. 3) ...
Too annoying... I have to keep searching for an honest seller, it is gonna take weeks.
Hello, did anybody receive an NS grade from this unit (Math) or, in general, any unit?
I have put my case to GPT and it thinks I may be granted NS by around 80% chance for my unit (my case: during the semester, I got 31% out of a possible 40%, and in the final exam, I am expecting to get 24% out of 60%, which is below the hurdle of 27% out of 60% - but still, overall 55%).
This has been a bit of good news to me because I initially thought I was completely hopeless and had to retake the whole unit next semester. Sure, it may not be granted to me, but still got a chance
If I get an "NS 45" grade, what to expect? Especially from this unit, if anybody that an experience?

Hello everyone, I want to play football (normal football, not the stupid one), looking for some fellow players, teams, or we can build our own teams here and play. I am new here, first semester, so I don't know anyone.
If you want a player in your team, let me know. If you want to play as well, feel free to comment below (but please at least be able to kick a ball skill-wise)
I play 1.5+0 bullet chess most of the time, like 10-15 games per day, I am up and down 2200 rated.
I play 3+0 blitz occasionally, like 1 or 2 games per day.
There is a 300-point difference between the two time controls, 90 seconds vs double shot 180 seconds.
I am really surprised how this can happen.
