Beas Kund Trek , Done with TTH

On 9 June 2026, I completed the Beas Kund Trek with Trek The Himalayas, and it was a wonderful experience overall. I had previously done the Hampta Pass Trek, but none of my friends had ever been on a high-altitude trek before. We chose Beas Kund assuming it would be a relatively easy trek, but that wasn't entirely the case. While it is beginner-friendly compared to many Himalayan treks, it still requires a reasonable level of fitness and preparation. Without proper conditioning, completing the trek can be quite challenging.
The scenery was absolutely magnificent throughout the journey. The trail offers stunning views of majestic peaks such as Hanuman Tibba and Friendship Peak, along with beautiful alpine meadows, streams, and mountain landscapes. Reaching Beas Kund itself was a rewarding experience.
The food and overall trek management by Trek The Himalayas were good, and the trek leaders and support staff were helpful and professional. One of the best parts of the trek was meeting a great group of people along the way and sharing the experience with them.
Overall, Beas Kund is an excellent introduction to Himalayan trekking, but don't underestimate it. some preparation goes a long way. The views, the people, and the experience make it well worth the effort.

Work From Home in Surat? Let's Build a Community! 👋

Work From Home in Surat? Let's Build a Community! 👋

I've been working remotely for a while, and one thing I've realized is that it can get pretty isolating. There are probably hundreds (or thousands) of people in Surat working from home, freelancing, or running remote businesses. but we barely know each other.

So I thought, why not build a community?

The idea isn't just networking or finding clients. It's about meeting like-minded people, occasional coworking sessions, coffee meetups, sharing opportunities, discussing productivity, helping each other, or simply making friends who understand the WFH lifestyle.

If you're from Surat and work remotely, introduce yourself in the comments!

Drop a comment with what you do, where you're based in Surat, who you work for (if you'd like), and what you're hoping to get from this community.

Whether you're a software developer, designer, architect, marketer, writer, trader, consultant, customer support rep, content creator, or anything else you belong here.

If enough people are interested, we can create group and organize our co-work meetup.

Let's see how many remote workers Surat actually has! 🚀

Hypocrisy of brown Sepoys

Indian love traveling . But also love being inferior to the white mentality. India needs civic sense but i can see pattern since nowadays many people unnecessarily calling out Indians on civics sense.

Why Gujjus are like this when they travel ?

Why Gujarati are like this in public space. they don't have to do their "Thiruvathira" at every point of monument. they are collectively bringing down Indian's image. I don't know why they have to perform their culture everywhere they go !

Where ACTUALLY These are group of Malayali women . If I had posted, ‘Why are Keralites like this?’, our Indian society wouldn’t have accepted it. I had to find a different way to get people’s attention. Yes, a group of Malayali women performed Thiruvathira, a traditional Kerala dance, in China, while men in kasavu mundu supported them. They are peaceful and there is nothing wrong. but people are nowadays started hating on Gujaratis for no reason.

Gujju have become easy target nowadays. I just wanted to create awareness. STOP DEFAMING WHOLE COMMUNITIES

Gujju Lacks civic sense ?

Only Indians use 'civic sense' everywhere.. A group of Gujaratis are going viral for doing garba dance on the great Wall of China. People are questioning their civic sense and asking their passports to be cancelled. But when westerners do it, no one has a problem.. others actually enjoy it. Why do Indians go after other Indians and treat them so harshly?

Nice post b : (8) Instagram

6 out of 12 semiconductor plants in this list are being set up in Gujarat

6 out of 12 semiconductor plants in this list are being set up in Gujarat

Why not even single in Maharashtra ? it has huge infrastructure compared to Gujarat and great work force.

incredible India - Surat (GJ) to Madumalai (TN) road trip in Hyundai Exter CNG with family. I was Solo Driver

Slide 2 to 7 (Badami Caves, Karnataka)

Slide 8 to 11 (Elora Caves, Maharashtra)

Slide 12 to 19 (Hampi, Karnataka)

Slide 20 (Malvan, Maharashtra)

I just completed a 3200 km road trip starting and ending in Surat, entirely on CNG. not forgot to mentioned that i was sole driver of entire trip.

Route
Surat to Malvan to Udupi to Mangalore to Coorg to Mysuru to Mudumalai to Hampi to Badami to Ellora and back to Surat

The trip covered a mix of coast, hills, forests, and heritage. Malvan, Udupi, and Mangalore were calm coastal stops. Coorg and Mudumalai were green and refreshing. Mysuru, Hampi, Badami, and Ellora were rich in history and architecture.

Doing this journey on CNG was challenging but manageable with planning. Fuel stops needed advance thought, highways were mostly smooth, and overall travel cost stayed low even for such a long distance.

It felt less like a vacation and more like seeing how landscapes, food, and culture change every few hundred kilometers.

Scam Alert - Fake Alert ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

i have come across this post :

https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianHomeDecor/comments/1tjenxy/my_newly_building_house_in_kerala_need_suggestions/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

posted by Naomi Jason (u/SympathyConfident146) - Reddit

He claimed that he is building a new house in Kerala and taking suggestions from Redditors, and it seemed like the community was genuinely helping him. But upon closer inspection, these images appear to be complete AI slop. As an architect, I can confidently say that these are fake images, and the person is trying to gain fake engagement while wasting people’s time.

There is also no correlation between the two images. The design language does not match at all, and even the surrounding context looks more like Northen/Centrel India rather than Kerala.

I am not against AI-generated images. The reason I’m writing this is because the person is making false claims and misleading people. This kind of behavior creates distrust within the community.

If I am wrong, the OP/OC can challenge me and prove otherwise.

Please upvote this and tag the moderators. We need to keep scammers away.

Restored my grandfather's Swiss watch from 1960's

I’m a 29-year-old man who never got to meet my grandfather, who was a government teacher and used to wear this watch. Everyone I know who met him remembers this watch and the way it had to be hand-wound. It’s so refreshing to see it again, even with the patina on the dial. I chose to keep the original dial intact to preserve its originality.

It’s an Enicar Ocean Pearl with a hand-winding mechanical movement. It’s Swiss-made and has “25 Jewels” on the dial.

What do you guys think?

Fake Designer Spotted! SCAM ALERT !

https://www.reddit.com/u/Proper-Tank3865/s/vJnnw4yglw

"/Proper-Tank3865"

This person keeps posting interior images claiming they’re projects from Ahmedabad, yet there’s absolutely no proper project information, site details, or verification anywhere.

In one of the recent posts, the windows even had Chinese New Year stickers on them. When questioned, they said the stickers were “to cover the windows” but the stickers were tiny and clearly decorative, not covering anything meaningful. Soon after being questioned, they deleted the comments and blocked the user.

same when i dared the person to share any working construction drawing, he literally blocked me.

I also noticed something else in a video posted on their Instagram page during the photoshoot; an Asian person was clearly visible in the background. On top of that, the project showed Chinese-style plug sockets and fittings. Honestly, who uses Chinese plug sockets in Ahmedabad residential projects? the interiors they’re claiming look like a crore+ worth project, yet their Instagram has absolutely nothing substantial to show. No process, no site work, no execution details, no team, no real-world documentation.

All of this strongly suggests these images may have been taken from Asian websites or foreign sources and reposted as their own work.

PLEASE be careful with such accounts. There’s no office address, no real project details, no transparency.

As an Architect & interior designer, it’s painful to see people potentially getting misled or losing money to fake portfolios and fabricated projects.

Dont fall for the trap. Stay Safe
