She might be still holding this pose while I type this.
JK I couldn't torture her that much but I'm sure she would still be staring at the ball if I did.
Joined the club, splurged for my birthday and paid out the a$$$$$ for shipping about a month ago. Seriously I feel like a such a stupid tourist. WTH is happening? How can it cost so much and deliver so slowly?
A shipping notice over the weekend told me it shipped and that the carrier would reach out. Cool! It’s been weeks of excited anticipation so I patiently waited a few more days to hear from some shipper. I answered all the unknown calls that were all just political spammers of course before last night, when I sent a question about it to HM.
I find out this morning that it will take UP TO ANOTHER 3 WEEKS for it to even reach a shipper who I see isn’t even in the same city. Apparently that company will contact me after they receive it and I guess deliver it halfway across the state when they feel like burning $5+/gallon in gas. AS you might imagine I trust this about as much as I trust strangers with face tattoos selling street food in a 3rd-world country.
Talk about BUYERS REMORSE. I thought this was going to be a real treat. Something to reward myself with for all the work from home time I have spent in uncomfortable chairs. Now it’s just some imaginary thing that makes me feel like a 2nd-class citizen who screwed up by not buying on the 2nd-hand market. I KNEW I should’ve compromised and ordered from Madison.
This was already a hard-to-justify cost for the chair, but ESPECIALLY EGREGIOUS on the shipping’s lack of value. This delivery wait is so out of sync with the price I paid for shipping that it feels like an actual scam. Here’s hoping it ends up feeling worth all the money, waiting, and now frustrated ranting.
My clear coat is getting destroyed and needs a paint job. It's the top only but I think I might go for a new color. Any other folks here have theirs painted? What was the cost like? Did you change colors up?
I am hoping to have a reference while I shop around so I don't get spend fever.
My M2s just died this week after picking them up in June of 2019 after being assigned a desk in a literal hallway. I needed a big FO pair of headphones to let the stream of people walking behind know me that I am not in the mood to chat just because they're on the way for a coffee.
My M3s I picked up a year and a half ago after they were discontinued because I loved the M2s so much. I saw the metal band changed in the M4s so I jumped on a pair for a decent price to have ready when my M2s inevitably died.
If anyone has experience with getting a pair of M2s refurbished I'm very interested.
These headbands have to be metal for my bigly fat head. I snap plastic too easily. Any other cranially endowed Sennheiser fans found a good metal headband replacement?
Do the M4s have strong enough components to hold up to daily use of hours and hours?
Anyway my M2 review is that they're nearly perfect. A little hot under the earcups when it's hot but I'm not going working out in them or anything. The folding parts are easy to open and close without drama. The multiple connections are pretty good for the year it was produced. The battery life has been exemplary.
M3s? The good: Almost everything about the quality, connection, and battery as the M2s.
The bad: The folding parts are too sensitive and the auto on/off with the folding action is annoying.
Also the seam where the headband hinges closed has given me blood blisters multiple times closing on the edge of my finger.
Outside of that, along with the M2s these are the most solid headphones I have had in 25years of buying grown-up headphones for professional use.
Fisheye lens should be renamed to just megaboop.
Not being political. Both teams representing here, I wouldn't make a statement in support of any of these liars.
9 years in and she still sleeps with something wedged against her shoulders, no matter how uncomfortable (often toilet). And I give bonus points for toy cradled between paws. This is a solid 9.4 even from the East German judge. My bestest border-aussie-crossy.
I have been lucky with my Rover since picking it up and saving it from a pavement princess life of school dropoffs and grocery runs. I had to replace the compressor right away but after that it has been smooth sailing for maintenance as I slowly build it up to where I want it to be.
I drive very little. I work from home, I'm old, I'm boring, and my trips out of the driveway are about 3-5 miles tops. It started acting up and gave me the ABS and transmission fault "pull over safely" errors a couple of times but went away with a restart.
The clogging/ unclogging of the sunroof a couple of times has me worried about water and the wiring, so when it showed me a check engine light that stayed on, we were off to the local LR mechanic who replaced the lower thermostat housing.
Check engine light gone, driving with confidence after chatting with the shop about the transmission and abs fault warnings. Check engine light comes back a couple days later. I take it back to the shop who orders parts and now has me scheduled for Tuesday replacement of the upper thermostat housing which needed to be ordered.
I let it sit for the rest of the week, but decided to go grab a coffee this morning and head out not too worried about getting back home. Pulling up to the coffee shop it just dies. No power steering, lights like a Christmas tree on the dash so I coasted to the curb and turned it off and then restarted it. It's running rough all the sudden like it's missing a cylinder. After running in to get my coffee (no way I'm chancing the drive thru LOL) I decided to chance it and wait for a break in the traffic before I try to get it home.
Pulling out of the coffee shop onto the road, it lags a little then it takes off like I'm in a hurry. After getting up to speed it's okay, so I figure just keep it moving until I get home. Turning left onto my street it lags for a second again then surges like the fuel caught up after being cut off or something. Sitting in my driveway with it idling in park, it is shaking with the rough running engine until I give it some gas and then it sounds like normal.
I like the guys at the shop but I'm worried this is the beginning of a profitable friendship for them. Anyone have this issue before?
