cox vs logistic regression

Hi, I have a stats master but been quite long away from this, so need some good reasoning.

I have 100 subjects, 4 variables, and want to evaluate their effect on 1 year survival. I have no censoring, i.e. I know for.sure for everyone whether they died or not within this year. Number of events is 30. The issue is tgat for one of the variables I suspect that the effect starts only after a few months, although with this sample size I failed to reject H0 about the PH violation.

I then fitted logistic regression to see whether they died whithin this one year.

What is the difference in such logreg and cox in this case? Statistically and with interpretation.

Please throw everything on me, I just have to recall it, it has been a while unfortunatelly....

Paper rejected twice for the "lack of originality" at Elsevier, editor is ghosting me

Hi, I am trying to publish exploratory analysis of my project, where the sample size is not so great. I was not responsible for the recruitment, but am now paying with by having a poor academic profile. This was the main research of my phd. Now rejected by 4 journals for the small sample size, and since I am out already, I have to now consider only hybrid schemes (no money for OA) and we all know how hard this became.
I found a nice journal with Elsevier, took a few days to prepare and format everything. Within 1 day it was rejected as their automatic system found a copy on the internet. That is correct, as clearly stated in the cover letter it appeared as a preprint at medrxiv, and also as a chapter in my dissertation. I was advised to resubmit it (took 2 hours due to their system crashing but whatever, time does not play a role in academia, we all have free weekends apparently). I resubmitted, and got rejected again with the same automatic email. Editor is ghosting me, as well as the support.
Does anyone have any similar experiences? What can be done? This is not right, I am investing my time into submission process through their shi**y system and they do not even reply, and if they do, they suggest to try to resubmit. Why do they want cover letter if the never read it? Sorry for the vent, I am genuinely pissed. And paying by loosing career years by not having "strong profile".

Ordering car parts: stoplichtschalter - tips for websites welcome!

tldr: I am looking for a website where i can order stoplichtschalter for my renault megane 3, product number 253209243R , so that it can be delivered within switzerland. not a temu or similar bullshit please.

---

Hi, this is very specific and I am not sure where to post it - suggestions are welcome.

I have renault megane 3 and a few weeks ago I got check vehicle control. I went to the service (my obd 2 diagnostics did not show anything) and it gave error on the stoplichtschalter. a week before this happened the brake lights were changed, but that service is 1000km away.

Now, an automechanic ordered the stoplichtschalter 2x, second time by the VIN number of the car, but it has incorrect cable connector. This might be because the part is not.original and was changed, or because the car was imported and manufactured under different standard. Long story short, he gave up and told me to go to authorized service. The point is that they will probably not be able to solve it and will want to change also the cable to put the original parts there.

I was checking some websites, but I am worried I will order some bullshit. Also I do not want to order from temu and alike websites, I want to solve it.

Adding picture of the correct one, and on the right below is also the original but incorrect one.

Thanks!

Zoll: new bike rode for 2 weeks.

Hi there,

I am here to ask about a specific situation. I plan to fly to Portugal, buy a bike there (price range 2-3k CHF), ride it there and come on it back to CH and keep it here. Now, if I bought a new bike in that price range and brought it unused to CH, I would simply go to zoll, declared it, paid the tax and import fees and thats it. But I want to ride it for a few weeks, and arrive on it back home. Anyone encountered similar situation? Do I still go to declare it even if it is used? How much would I pay in taxes then ?

I want to make it right and this is new for me, supposedly it has different rules than bringing new stuff through the border. TYA!
