FTMs: When did you give birth?

For those who already had a baby (but specifically asking about your FIRST):

  • How far along were you?
  • Were you induced?
  • Vaginal or C section?
  • Any details you’d like to add!

I am 31 weeks now and anticipating an early birth due to my high risk factors, would like to know how it resulted for other moms over 40.

How popular is the name “Millie”?

We are strongly considering naming our baby Emily and calling her Millie if the gender is a girl. However I don’t want a really popular name. I know Amelia is really popular now, so wondering if all those girls will be Millie.

We live in the Southeast, and from the few moms I have asked, it does seem more popular here?

Crib to Full Size Bed Recs?

I want to purchase a crib that can eventually convert to toddler style and then a full size bed (not just up to a “toddler bed”). I understand that conversion kits are required. I thought there would be a lot more options, but only finding one or two on West Elm and Bayletto. Goal here is to use this as the child’s bed until they are 18.

Any recommendations?!

Does Greenville not cater to working moms?!

I moved here 6 months ago, I work M-F 9-5 and I am pregnant. It has been impossible to find any prenatal work out classes, prenatal yoga classes or mom groups that meet outside of regular working hours, it is driving me crazy! Am I looking in the wrong places...outside of FB, Google, AI Search etc? Open to recommendations please, thank you!

5 Years CUTI - Cures & Relief in Pregnancy

Like many others here, I started with a UTI that never went away. Thankfully, this group and FB lead me to Dr B. I was on oral LTA for 4 years and it was truly a lifesaver, helped me "live my life" like a normal person despite the occasional yeast infections and bowel issues.

During this time I was also trying to conceive. Based on recommendations here, I went to Dr Heer and moved to at home bladder instills, which helped tremendously. He proceeded to convince to get on estrogen cream, seed vaginal probiotics and hiprex....all of which I kind of rolled my eyes at before thinking "there is no way those work".

Well, they did...and now I am off everything and 5 months pregnant. Interestingly, during pregnancy, estrogen goes up, good vaginal bacteria is also up...which makes sense as to why I am doing well into pregnancy.

Ultimately, yes, we need to eradicate the bacteria in our bladders, but I find it super fascinating that estrogen and probiotics are what support/maintain future and ongoing infections.

‼️ I just got my first ever invoice from Cirrus DX labeled “Final Invoice” for $8,500 covering tests over the last year. Is this happening to any of you?! I was told they don’t make patients pay over what insurance covers???
