ALL SPOILERS - This is my 2nd post! I made the same one on RWBYcritics but I think it belongs here too!

I have some concerns with how Volume 9 ended, and 3 things that should be addressed in the upcoming Volume 10. (woop woop for V10 btw!)

1. Penny's death feels bad. Not just because they made her the winter maiden, human, and then immediately killed her, but because she is only talked about from Jaune and felt by Ruby and Weiss in V9. Ruby, Weiss, and Jaune have all mentioned Penny's death, and my one big hope in V10 is that the gang continues to talk about her. Most importantly, Jaune and Ruby. We barely saw any reaction from Ruby besides fainting, feeling hopeless, and carrying around Penny's sword for the first half of V9. I hope Jaune receives the care and closure he needs from the team, and I hope that the rest of the gang also gets a chance to morn Penny and help Ruby with her grieving, because if anyone deserves to be on the memorial, its Penny. And no, I don't want her to return. Unfortunately, they already killed her twice, and as much as I want a better, longer ending to Penny's story, she needs to rest.

2. There is NO way Ruby talking to a tree spirit (that I think is reincarnated Alyx?) and reflecting inward after seeing her mom is sufficient for how much of a burden Weiss, Blake, and Yang were putting on Ruby. They admitted they were being too hard on Ruby and looking for her to always fix their problems! I really NEED CRWBY to resolve the plot of Ruby's burdens. The tree was a good refresh, but I want to see W,B,Y and Jaune apologize for not being there when she needed them! There was SUCH A GOOD story being told by RWBY (the show), and I would hate to loose such an in depth unique piece.

Jaune especially needs to find some time in Vacuo to apologize for how he reacted to Ruby and the gang needs to find a way to move forward now that Ruby is in a better mindset. Everyone knows Ruby's downfall was W,B,Y's doing. Yes, their whole situation sucks and everyone should be leaning on everyone else, but they were all so oblivious in V9 that it really would tie that story to a close if Ruby got a commitment from her team and the gang as a whole that everyone is HERE FOR HER NOW, and that they're sorry they were unable to see her then. This especially goes for Yang. Yang asked SO many times if Ruby was okay, and there was no follow up! She never stopped and said, oh wait, lets take a moment. I know this was partly plot intentional, but someone has to stop NOW and speak up for Ruby because she NEEDS to hear it FROM HER TEAM (and Jaune)!

I also hope Ruby is somewhat against them, I don't want her to 100% believe them because thats not how life works, I just want some dialogue between the team that everyone is here for her more than they were. Because effectively, Ruby 100% gave up, and her team is lucky the tea wasn't poison, if you get what I mean. So, they massively messed up and her team needs to take accountability for how much they haven't been supporting their leader.

3. And for Jaune, I hope Ruby is angry with him. I know she wasn't there to see the aftermath of Penny, but I hope she is sad angry. I want some tension between the two of them after being such close supports for one another with them both being leaders. I want them to resolve the Penny ordeal and for Jaune to know that it IS what Penny wanted. But, I would want Ruby to show that her best friend (outside of Yang/family) meant a lot to her, and it SHOULD be difficult to see Jaune the same way. So, I hope V10 addresses the guilt and grief between Ruby and Jaune. And I hope they both develop better because of it.

Finally, the theme behind all 3 of my concerns is, I hope team JRWBY DOES NOT LEAVE ALL THEIR PROBLEMS FROM V9 BEHIND IN THE EVER AFTER! We need more of it in Volume 10! I hope Viz and CRWBY have more time and ability to create further RWBY volumes. It has ALWAYS deserved twice the time it has had to develop it's story, and it would be vastly different and more interesting if it had such a miracle. Best of luck to the show! Can't wait!

I've been seeing lots of comments, rather negative ones about Starset's new song and how they've been different or changed.

I don't see it. Was wondering if anyone else feels the same way or if its just a few people? I think all their songs especially the Silos album and Empires is really awesome.

I didn't like Sway or the new song that much but I see a lot of people analyzing the whole band over it. They're still rockin it for me.

Solo is just two people timing their wacks. But how do people generally try to win small engagements in content like Depths, Hellgates, where theres 2-6 people?

Do people build to nuke healers? Are you supposed to run 1 healer and 2 dps? Or 1 tank? 3 dps? Whats popular? Does everyone run single target for 3v3s?

I know it died due to the royal cities being introduced. But is that the only reason?

Besides the Black Market, is there any reason to be in Caerleon at all anymore?

I remember when it was the hub for the world.

I think I'm going for my PhD in clinical psychology. All of the websites are outdated with last years information, so it appears next year's applications start in August 2027 (which no one ever tells you on their websites!!!)

What the hell do I do to get ready? I have a Bachelors in Psychology since 2023 and a Masters in Industrial Organizational Psychology since last year. I also have no money to get a PhD with.

Should I start emailing potential faculty members now for research/GA/TAs? What do I say? What papers and information should I put on my CV/application? Should I scout out my references now? Do I need more than 3?

Is there anything they don't tell you before applying? Thanks for the help.

When I log out of Discord, log into another account, and log back into my 1st account, my font sizes and keybinds reset to default/delete.

I've seen this has been a long standing problem for Discord. Why does it do this and not just create another folder for the 2nd account on your device? It makes it very hard to switch accounts since we can't have multiple accounts logged in on one application of Discord.

This is absurdly dumb.

There are tons of NSFW torture mods and whatnot but very few actual execution variations like gallows, death by axe/sword, injections, firing squads. I can't find a mod that has all those features.

I don't need to torture a guy, I just need to have him face justice for killing my colonist's fiance a day after they decided to spend the rest of their lives together!
