Eleven month old only eating meat and fruit

My son will be eleven months old on the tenth of this month. We started blw a few months ago but at first could only get him to eat bananas, strawberries, and snacks. I followed a redditor’s advice and took away the snacks but his food choices are still so limited. I got him to add meat to his diet but that’s it. He will only eat bananas, strawberries, meat like chicken, meatballs, ham, and pork. He refuses to eat noodles and any kind of veggie. Am I doing something wrong? He will eat them in puree form but not blw form.

Please help repot my Bonnie lavender

I had bought a Bonnie lavender from Walmart and repotted it in a terracotta pot an inch bigger than the Bonnie pot. I planted it in part mulchy potting soil and a cactus/succulent soil I got on Amazon that is 75% peat moss and 25% perlite. I didn’t water it when I repotted it because it was wet when I bought it. It died.

Well I bought another one to try again. I have that same cactus/succulent soil (which I found out isn’t actually cactus/succulent soil because it is peat moss), perlite, and sand. I would like for it to live this time when I repot so what should I do?

Florida questions about reopening case closed to permanent guardianship, please help

I have a dcf case out of Florida but currently live in Tennessee. I have been trying to reopen my case but it has been a major headache. I cannot get ANY questions answered. When I call dcf they tell me that they can’t answer questions because I don’t have a case manager. I don’t have a case manager because the case isn’t opened and I can’t open the case because I can’t get these questions answered!

I have completed my case plan but can’t get the documents for my mental health and substance abuse evaluation because they say that they can’t answer questions only send them to a third party like a dcf case manager. I have to reopen the case MYSELF and send all the documents myself.

The guardians are terrible people. They have been restricting visitation, denying video calls, having my son call them mom and dad since they first got him, making issues out of nothing, I am just ready for this to be over. Please help me, I need answers. Thanks so much and God bless.

Planted some lavender seeds, did (am) I doing it right?

I got this lavender growing kit at the Dollar General. It said to put in a wet paper towel in the refrigerator for three days but I left in for about a week, then set on top of the moist soil and gently pressed down on the top. I planted them Wednesday and they are out on my back porch out of the sun with some cling wrap on top for a greenhouse atmosphere and mist it with water daily. Am I doing this right? Have any tips or tricks to help them grow? If I would have known that they were one of the hardest to grow I would have started with something easier as I’m somewhat new to gardening. Thanks!

Quick, easy, healthy(ish) meals needed for overwhelmed mom. My favorite recipe included.

I have a nine‑month‑old who is extremely attached to me. Any time I go into the kitchen to make something, he stands at the gate and cries. I’ve tried putting him in his high chair with snacks, but that only works for a minute or two.

My boyfriend works a lot of hours, so I’m looking for easy ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Things that are quick, healthy (or at least healthy‑ish), and taste good as leftovers for a few days. I’ll share my favorite recipe below and would love to see some of yours.

There are no allergies in my family, but I can’t eat anything hard right now because of a broken molar I haven’t had time to get a root canal for. I’m also on Wegovy, so I’m trying to add more fiber to my meals.

Thanks everyone!

Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry

• 1 lb ground chicken or diced chicken breast
• Frozen stir‑fry vegetables
• Teriyaki sauce
• White rice (optional)

  1. For ground chicken: Heat a skillet over medium‑high, add the chicken, break it up, and cook until no pink remains. Drain excess liquid.
  2. For diced chicken breast: Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add a little oil to the skillet and cook on medium‑high until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the frozen stir‑fry veggies, reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook 5–7 minutes until the veggies are hot and softened.
  4. Add as much teriyaki sauce as you like and stir to coat.
  5. Serve over white rice with a splash of soy sauce, so good!

My 8½‑month‑old and I have a loose routine during the day. When he wakes up, I stay in bed for a bit and let him crawl around and play in my bed while I watch him. That gives me a little time to wake up. After that, I put him in his playpen, which he hates, so I can make myself some coffee. I offer him a bottle since he isn’t much of a breakfast guy.

Around 11am we go for a walk, then come back for lunch. I feed him again at three and at six. Sometimes we take another walk after lunch. Outside of those times, I honestly don’t know what to do with him. He wants to crawl and explore, but he immediately goes for everything he shouldn’t touch, like the TV cords. He’s constantly trying to crawl into the kitchen, which is the only place I have room to keep things like the broom, dustpan, vacuum, steam mop, and the cat’s food, water, and litter box, and there’s nowhere else in the house to put any of it.

Because of how my house is set up, I can’t block the kitchen off, so I end up grabbing him and moving him over and over. He hates his jumper and his playpen, and every time I put him in either one he acts like I’ve locked him in jail. He really is an explorer at heart, I just don’t know how to keep him entertained and safe without chasing him nonstop. We ordered him an outdoor jumper/swing that should arrive Thursday, so I’m hoping he’ll like that.

I bought a window bird feeder because my cat and I love watching them. I even put food on the windowpane for the squirrels because we love watching them as well. I have had it up for about three weeks and not one single visitor! Roxie and I are both so disappointed. The feeder is in my backyard with little to no foot traffic and right next to a fence so they can perch. I don’t have any water for them anywhere but last time I put up a feeder it didn’t matter. This window is really the best placement and honestly the only window I can put it on. I put black oil sunflower seed in the feeder because the internet said that was the best option. What am I doing wrong?

I loved Hex by Thomas Olde Huevelt, Incidents around the house, and The Haunting of Alejandra. I disliked Come Closer, Home Before Dark, and Play Nice. I want a book that genuinely creepy and a bit scary. Can someone please help? I’m so picky when it comes to books.
