Saucer Separation

I vaguely remember seeing the Enterprise-D’s saucer separation as a kid and absolutely losing my mind. It felt like the coolest thing I’d ever seen. Watching those episodes again as an adult, though, it barely registers.

Fighting against the Borg question…

Why didn’t Starfleet just use ol’ fashion guns and bullets to stop the Borg? It seemed to work on the holodeck just fine. Could they adapt to bullets?
