What were y'all doing the day before IGCSE scores came out?

As above! I'm curious whether any of you guys joined me in actually studying for the next stage after IGCSEs ended.

If New Rockstars is right, The Human Torch dying (Sun Transformation) would be a brilliant reason for Spidey to get the future foundation suit on the raft for secret wars, only for him to eventually get the venom suit afterwords in the film.

I'm trying to become a better writer, but end up falling back to using emojis to easily convey emotion sometimes. What are literary techiques that can act as direct replacements for them?

Same as above!

Becoming an influential member of this website is more reputable than on similar Social Medias like YouTube or IG

Primarily because, to me, unlike other social medias, this app is the only one not curated to let certain individuals be more influential.

You basically have to always identify trends and follow them in order or achieve recognition outside this app to rise in fame.

I want to formally learn about Yoruba, Nigeria and our general culture— how do I go about it?

Recently, it occurred to me that I may not know as much about my culture as I thought I did, and I’m not really comfortable with that given how I know there are real ways to improve. Any language textbooks or factual records you could recommend me to read so as to broaden my knowledge base?

The distinction Yoruba gives between Eesee / Oosee is unnecessary and even harmful overall.

Think about it in terms of our national language, English — we wouldn’t say, thank you, junior, to a person who did a good job and we genuinely want to praise. Likewise, I don’t why should two different people get differing levels of respect just because one is older than the other. One might see it as just meaningless words, or more justifiably as an integral part of our culture, but time and time again the world has been unmistakably proven that just because something is commonplace, it doesn’t mean it’s right.

Moving forward, I don’t think there’s much that we as a collective can really do about this unavoidable fault of our language; however, we can always choose to make the best of what we’ve got.

Try saying Eesee to everyone who helps you out (if this argument applies to you in your everyday life, of course), regardless of their demographic status in your eyes. You’ll see that you’ll most likely make someone’s day at no cost of your own.

Thank you; God bless your days! 🙏
