How does the Post know whether or not a parcel/package will fit my mailbox or not?

Is there a national database?

Do the couriers tick a box of fit/unfit when dropping something off and over time it kinda figures it out?

Do the housing companies have to report it?

The Post app always tells me if it will fit or not and I've been very interested lol

Is there an app which produces announcements to the users when they post? As example about ongoing moderation hiring or changes to the subreddit.

Our subreddit would like to reach out to as many of the users, both commenters and posters, about a big change in subreddit policies. For this we want to include as many as possible in the discussion.

Is there any app that allows us to easily reach people? The automod commenting on every post isnt an ideal solution as it's comments are automatically collapsed.

Swiss Army Ready App not sounding any alerts during exercises?

When I used the app 4 years ago it helped me a lot with running and got me up to 1h runtime.

I wanted to use it again but now it doesnt sound any alerts when its time to switch between walking, running, intervals.

I have battery saver off and my phone is on the loudest setting with headphones. Does anyone know what's up?

Swiss Bank with Baskets?

I'm using UBS and Zak right now.

I love Zak a lot because of the very simple UI and ability to have various baskets that money moves into every month automatically. It helps a lot with budgeting and keeping track of things.

The UBS does not have this and due to the cost of UBS + this inability of baskets, I'm planning on cancelling my UBS and going only with Zak. Before I do that, I wanted to ask if there are other banks that have similar UIs/Apps/Baskets? Except of Yuh.

The downside to Zak for me is theres no joint accounts and cash withdrawal is limited.

Would Switzerland be better or worse off if we historically ended up in this hypothetical scenario?

No, I don't want us to go invading our neighbours now, but it's a fun thought experiment 😭

Let's assume we somehow managed to achieve this in the past and that the hisotrical events (as much as possible) of the industrialistion and WW2 didn't change.

Does someone know if this autoshop is legite or a scam?

I found a car listed by a autoshop called Garage Du Lac Pellouchoud & Fils Sa at Rte du Lac 1, 1938, Orsières.

When I attempted to pay the 300.- delivery fees the Garage messaged me and said they had a bank issue and will refund me my 300.- and that I should pay it to another IBAN. (Delivery because I'm going to WK and they will bring it to me mid. next month supposedly).

I misunderstood and tried to pay to the same IBAN. So I called UBS to cancel and they asked me a bunch of questions and said the IBAN was reported by one other person as "not serious" vendor.

I asked the Garage about it and they offered to send me a copy of their ID and gave me a name or that I could sign a purchase contract (but then I'd have to pay 2000 upfront, of course I said no).

I said they should send me a selfie of them with their ID in front of the car and they only sent me a picture of the ID on a counter top. Considering calling the Bar next to the Garage on Google Maps to ask them.

Flying with Rega is surprisingly fun.

First of all, I am aware Rega is not a taxi service and they shouldn't be called except in an emergency. That being said... I was hiking in the Alps and camped out ~2000m.

There was a light storm during the early night as expected but nothing serious. As I continued my hike I discovered my path was blocked during the night; and on the way back same thing. So. I was stuck.

Long story short, after trying other solutions, I felt the need of calling Rega for the first time in my life and they kindly flew over and picked me up by rope... what I didn't expect was to be hanging off the side of the helicopter and flown through the sky. I really thought they'll drag me into the helicopter.

And my God, I thought I would be terrified but that was so much fun. It was a short ride till the next safe spot where they dropped me off, but it was really amazing to fly in the sky looking down at the deep valleys and mountains.

So yes, being flown through the sky is a lot of fun and an amazing feeling. But don't call rega just for that lol
