Bodypump Alongside Traditional ResistanceTraining?

I just got done with my first BODYPUMP class. I'll admit, I thought it would be gimmicky as hell but I definitely felt some challenge!

I was wondering if people have done BODYPUMP alongside traditional resistance training? If so, has it supplemented or helped you in your resistance training at all?

NOTE: I know its not optimal to help build mass and its more about building muscular endurance. But I wonder what the point of that is and how it may help me

I plan to do 1 bodypump session a week along with 2 full body workouts with heavy weights (primarily compound movements). Will doing this split help me with my goal of growing muscle over time? Or is bodypump as gimmicky as i initially thought?

Any insight is helpful!

Flea Markets for Collectibles?

Anyone know of any flea markets or similar type of events where people can sell their collectibles? Ideally in Guelph, Kitchener, or even in the GTA?

My husband and I have a fair bit of funko pops, anime figures, etc that we're looking to sell. Many of them have their original boxes and are in great condition! FB marketplace and eBay have been meh so we want to try selling in person

Any info is helpful :) Thanks!

"Do Not Play" List for November Afternoon Wedding

Hey everyone!

I'm currently noting down our "do not play" list for our DJ for our November wedding! Our wedding is from 12pm - 6pm (my fiance and I are NOT night owls so we opted for Sunday lunch LOL) and we don't want our dancefloor feeling like a nightclub

I'm just curious to know... what was on YOUR do not play list? How long should a do not play list be?

Thanks everyone 💖

Best place to get new tires?

Hey guys! I need to purchase a new set of summer tires for my 2016 Nissan Altima :)

The place my family has previously gone is quoted me $1100 ($275 per tire , putting the old rims on the new tires, installation and alignment), but I wanna call around a bit

Any recommendations are appreciated! Thank you!

New vs Used Tires for 2016 Nissan Altima

Hey everyone. I am NO tire expert at all. I know nothing about this, so I'm just looking for second opinions.

I need to buy a new set of summers for my car (2016 Nissan Altima). Here's some context:

  • My current tires are 10 years old. They're the original ones that came with the vehicle when it was purchased new from the dealership.
  • The car was owned by my mom previously who commuted to work daily (30 mins each way) and drove long distances (5+ hours each way) 3-4 times a year. She owned the car from 2016 - 2021
  • I work from home permanently and drive less than 10,000 km a year on average.
  • I've had the car since 2021, but given how little I drive, I was able to stretch them another 5 years.
  • The car has approx 136,000 km on it

Now, here is where I'm torn. My fiancé called our regular tire place and here is what we were quoted. Note, he was relaying this info to me so this is all I know

  • A set of 4 BRAND NEW tires, mid-range (brand unknown) after installation, taking old rims off and putting them on the new tires and balancing would come to $1100 CAD before tax ($275 / tire)
  • A set of 4 USED tires (brand unknown) after installation, taking old rims off and putting them on the new tires and balancing would come to $650 CAD before tax ($100 / tire). BUT...
    • The used tires would be 2 different sets.
    • Set 1 has about 80% tread left
    • Set 2 has about 60% tread left

I want these tires to at least last me 5 years. My fiance is telling me to go towards the used tires because of cost and based on how little I drive, and it IS a big savings! I can pay for the new set of tires, but it is a fair bit of money...

What do you guys think? What's worth it? Your opinions are appreciated :) Thank you!
