Bassist Ian Hill Retires from Judas Priest:

Judas Priest bassist Ian Hill has retired from the band, effective immediately. Last month, Hill missed the final show of the band's 2026 tour in Hammersmith - his first absence in 56 years. Now, the rigors of the road have caught up with him, and it's time to call it quits.

"For a long time now, when asked 'how long can you continue?' - I've always answered 'until my performances suffer.' I hate to say it, but that time has come."

The band also holds the record for the most No. 1s on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with 23.

At this point, is there any artist that can catch up with Shinedown?

25 Years Ago Today, Pantera Play Final Show with Classic Lineup:

On this day 25 years ago, the classic lineup of Pantera played their final show together. Vocalist Phil Anselmo, drummer Vinnie Paul, bassist Rex Brown, and guitarist Dimebag Darrell cranked through an 11-song set at Yokohama Arena for Beast Feast in Japan on August 26, 2001. While Phil and Rex have revived Pantera for extensive touring over the last few years, no one could have imagined that this show in Japan would be the very last time that they would share a stage with Dimebag and Vinnie.

Review + Photos: Greta Van Fleet Return With More Swagger at Sold Out Bowery Ballroom Show

"With all the trappings of the Starcatcher Tour stripped away, the band was left basking in the afterglow of their previous arena run - and they seemed more confident, raucous, and raw than ever before. Those four kids from Nashville are growing up. Despite already being one of the biggest rock bands on the planet, we might actually see them fully come into their own as they head down this next stretch of their existence."
