There is just far too much subjectivity in the manner which subs are moderated. While I realise you could argue the same for Facebook groups, the nature of the people in charge of Facebook groups I find far more reasonable than the nutjob subreddit mods running this site. Those people, for example those in charge of local communities, are not hidden behind fake names and are generally active members of the community irl.

Sure, there are ways of disputing them through Reddit but I don’t recall hearing anything ever being overturned or mods being held to account. It just baffles me that a company with an IPO can essentially be ran by egomaniac basement dwellers.

By far the easiest game I have ever played.

As a disclaimer, I only have around 20 hours on the game, so perhaps I am missing something, but there are so many times on the game where I feel like I’m missing something or the game is missing something.

To give an example, when you enter a lobby you usually land in the tavern or whatever you call it, and there’s a few NPC’s dotted around there and the island - not those who represent an emissary - that feel like they were supposed to serve a function, but don’t.

Beyond that, there doesn’t seem to a larger plot line. I opted for the Order of Souls emissary, and I’m just doing the same thing over and over again - raiding, killing those Captains or fighting ghost ships.

I’ve come across other little secrets, the underwater world whenever there’s blue ‘smoke’, the key that leads to treasure and the stars in the sky puzzle, but beyond the excitement of first discovering these, that also becomes repetitive.

Is it too early in my SoT career to be making this judgment and there is more to come? Am I missing something huge being a noob or does the game just not have much to offer?
