Reddit mods are the reason this site will never be as successful as other social media sites
There is just far too much subjectivity in the manner which subs are moderated. While I realise you could argue the same for Facebook groups, the nature of the people in charge of Facebook groups I find far more reasonable than the nutjob subreddit mods running this site. Those people, for example those in charge of local communities, are not hidden behind fake names and are generally active members of the community irl.
Sure, there are ways of disputing them through Reddit but I don’t recall hearing anything ever being overturned or mods being held to account. It just baffles me that a company with an IPO can essentially be ran by egomaniac basement dwellers.
