Sinclair's reanimen being the biggest example, which lead to a fall out with mark and the guardians of the globe (I have my own gripes about this scene). However, it is clear that he isnt heartless. "I hate me too" that single line in season 1 was enough to solidify the nuance of cecil, and his dedicated episode just solidify him as someone who is pragmatic, but not heartless. Hell him offering mark therapy despite their differences shows even more that he can retain some empathy.
A man who absolutely despises the idea of tyrants and emperors. So much so that if he had the resources, he wouldve fought against the emperor of mankind to the last man for his home of chogoris. Yet when the ultimatum came, jaghatai choose to serve the imperium just so his culture doesnt drown in the imperial tithe. He would have a similar mindset during the horus heresy. Yet even then, Jaghatai never lost his humanity. If anything aside of sanguinius the khan was agruably the most active in his legions life. Not only by integrating the terran born white scars into chogorian culture, but even actively encouraging his soldiers to have hobbies like chaligraphy and story telling. And from his efforts came the most well rounded space marine legions
She is a ruthless business woman and ruler that always put mutant kind first. This in turn leads to her head butting with various other notable characters as I always say. You cant be a mutant without doing some morally questionable decisions. Yet there have been several runs where emma has shown genuine kindness as a teacher. Not in a loving way but rather preparing those under her wing for a world that hates them. Kitty pryde would be in a worse spot if it wasnt for emma. And of course her relationship with scott also mellowed her out a lot.

Here are my foil head predictions for the next season
Overall environment:
Its gonna be a poke season......thats it........OKAY FINE I'LL GIVE A CASE!!! Between the new addition to cyclops along withe nerfs to the two strongest divers and devil dinosaur, poke is positioned to be one of the strongest team style next season. You can always make a case for dive, especially since you still have strong characters in cap, venom, and spidey. But most ranked matches wouldn't have the high level coordination normally, especially solo que.
Vanguards:
By proxy of the poke meta, shield tanks (emma, mag, groot, and strange) are going to get a lot of value. Though it may be weird given cyclop's tool kit getting easy off angles and chip damage, this season may have to be heavily dependent on strat position rather than the tank themselves. Brawl tanks will naturally suffer, it is poke after all. Maybe you make a case for devil dinosaur, but thats more due to his access to a shield than the actual character. However there maybe a rise in rogue player, but we'll eventually get to that reasoning.
TLDR: tanks are in a perpetually weird spot, but all roads lead back to mag.
Duelist:
Everything this next season will depend on how good cyclops is. For me i see him being a high A-mid S tier character. Not because his kit is overtuned, its more of the fact its so fundamentally strong as a long range poke character. High burst, easy off angles, an incredible get away tool, and low health pick offs. Its just the full package
However, if we are being generous and cyclops isnt that strong in practice. Wolverine could be a contender as a perma ban character due to his teamup with Scott. From early game footage the spin can easily fill up wolvi's passive, and gives a generous 30 meters of omni directional movement. This along with feral leap could easily make wolvi a bigger problem for tanks similar to his season 3 tool kit, but for admittedly different reasons.
Aside from those two it maybe a similar story to the previous season, without black cat, Felicia, and pheonix being must banns. Though we could easily see a rise in elsa in the future.
TLDR: it all depends on cyclops and his place in the meta game.
Strats:
There isnt really MUCH i expect to change in strats. Ultron's nerfs are kinda whatever and he was always relegated to a niche pick in triple support to begin with.
However, the state of gambit is interesting. Between the significant nerfs to his ult and teamup, gambit could potentially be free from perma banned status. And IF that is the case we could also see a rise in rogue and mag play.
Further more there may be a genuine case to ban characters like loki and white fox (maybe also invis). The reasoning being that the elimination of these characters along with thing or emma significantly increases the potency of hard dive comps, as it limits the enemy support's options and makes them more reliant teammates or mechanical skill.
Rocket could also be a contender for a ban slot as it gets rid of another threat to tanks, and denies the powerful BRB.
Conclusion:
Overall we're in a similar situation with devil dinosaur. As cyclops could potentially warp the game around him. And with significantly more notable nerfs could easily see some characters free from perma ban status.
