Where to stay with kids in Old Orchard Beach if traveling by train

My tween is interested in taking the train to Old Orchard Beach for a mini vacation, and I'm wondering if it's a destination that I can get by without a car and where do you recommend someone arriving by train stays? Best things to do with a tween while there? Appreciate your time!

New (and last) term starts 8/1 and no charges posted and how long has financial aid been taking lately

I'm in a graduate program (I also completed my undergraduate degree with WGU), and my final term starts on 8/1. However, no tuition charges have been posted to my account yet. My company requires me to submit my tuition reimbursement request before the term begins, and it also needs my manager's approval. Since my manager will be out for the last two weeks of July, I'm concerned about the delay. This is the first time my tuition charges haven't been posted at least a month before the start of my next term.

Also, even though I pay cash, I need to show my financial aid award along with my grades (to prove I didn't get a scholarship or grant),so I'm curious how long financial aid has been taking lately. I have a feeling I'm going to knock out my final courses before financial aid processes, which will delay my reimbursement.

When are expenses paid out?

I submitted a reimbursement/expense report, and it has already gone through the system and approved. It was extracted for payment on Monday, but it wasn't included in my paycheck. Are expenses considered supplemental pay or should I expect it in my next paycheck? This is the first time I've done this and my boss is away through the end of this week and if feels silly to ask their boss this question in their absence.

Coparent doesn't want to commit to plans with times

Has anyone had to deal with a coparent who wants to have more of a fluid visitation arrangement? Meaning, they don't even want to give a ballpark time for picking up child or expecting you to drop off.

Now that it's summer, coparent suddenly expressed interest in spending more time with our tween when they're not in camp/rec programs, which is fine, but they won't commit to specific days or times. To make it worse, when they do pick a day they won't give a time, just "morning" or "afternoon." It makes it increasingly difficult and frustrating for many reasons, mainly child can't go over a friend's house while they're on standby, on the days when I have a lot of meetings, my parents come over and they can't take child out and they've expressed that they feel like they're wasting time waiting for coparent. Also, I've been WFH for child's whole life, so we have a very good routine down and they are fairly independent in the sense that they can get themself dressed and ready, make an easy breakfast, occupy themself before any screen time, etc., but they're still a tween and when they get into doing something, they're not paying attention to the clock - Plus it's hard for them to be absolutely ready to walk out the door if they don't know the time that coparent is coming - so I have to be involved in the logistics of reminders like "Dad text to say he's on the way", but coparent can't fathom why I'd have to even say that to child since child "should be ready" (and they nixed my idea to get child a smart watch geared to kids so they could just be texting or calling them directly). I tried to bring it up to coparent but I get a "that's how I work and you'll just have to deal with it" response (and I can't get across enough just how much that makes my blood boil!)

To add: No formal custody arrangement and coparent is not on the birth certificate (I've stopped pushing for them to be at this point)

Tuition reimbursement documentation?

Due to an apparent rise in fraud, I was asked for a bank or credit card statement showing payment to my university for tuition reimbursement (apparently a new requirement), but I took out a student loan. Do you know if any other supporting documents are acceptable? [waiting to hear back from accounts payable/Concur]

Cap on raise for internal promotion?

I was asked whether I'd be interested in a promotion, which I would very much want if it meant a sizeable increase. I'd be going from a supervisory role in a 28 of a small team to a regional manager or director role in a 29, not entirely sure which, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to dumb down the previous person's position so it can be posted at a lower level to save money. My concern is that I have been underpaid, to the point that, before we joined Optum a couple of years ago, I was told I would receive an extra raise to bring me up to the *minimum of the salary band*. I'm trying to get ahead of this so I can be prepared if they make a low offer, and I'm wondering if there is an unwritten rule of a certain percentage for internal promotions??

Curious how others handle differences of opinion when tech is involved

Curious how others handle differences of opinion when tech is involved. My coparent is pushing for our child (almost 11) to be able to do things with friends without parents being there, like go to the park, bike rides, even sport practices, etc. to gain some independence, which I am all for, but I think they need a way to reach out in case of an emergency.

Coparent is adamant about not wanting child to have a smart watch (we're both in agreement about no phone). They feel child should be able to depend on their friends or friends' parents to text or call me if plans change, to confirm they got there, want to be picked up, etc. I don't think it's fair to put that responsibility on others.

I've considered adding a watch to my phone plan and only allowing child to wear it when they go out with friends but I know coparent would be livid.

My coparent let me know they're considering out of state, anywhere from 50 to 100+ miles away. I'm curious how others handle the logistics, because they're expecting me to spend 2 to 4+ hours driving our child down each week, and I don't agree, but I could definitely be wrong. In their eyes, this is a compromise to moving down south because they expected me to move right alongside them and their family... Ha! I'm curious to know how others are handling it?
