I'm currently still in high school junior year and I'm a little nervous that my stats aren't high enough or my pre reqs aren't enough and I wanted to about the process and how to get into sonography
Fuckk I meannn even if i means I have to get a second job- I'm willing to do it. I'm graduating HS in a yr and in a another 4 I'll be working my butt off to make sure I make a huge freaking impact on whomever's indie studio or (maybe just maybe) industry studio even if i get paid jack. It's a labor of love, I hate that corps use it against animators always but I just gotta weather it b/c I see no other life aside from this.
I heard it's a need based/ merit based full ride scholarship however I've never heard of anyone receiving it so I worry it's a impossible case for me.
I'm told by my teacher that it's a sign of decline in big studios and that it's just another dark age for animators even if it's amazing for animation. Genuinely terrifying given I'm trying to go to animation. Hope I can get to work with some animators and my make own studio one day despite it lol
I heard animation is struggling right now but I've also heard its b/c of the rise of newly grad animators whose portfolios are actually very bad. I honestly don't know
I recently felt something missing from my day to day interactions and I feel it comes from the lack of close/emotional conversations I have with people. I really hope to find someone who likes the anime/shows (Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, Inside Job, Better Call Saul) and fandoms (Deltarune/ Cookie Run) and enjoys making crafty letters as much as me. If not thats fine too, I think I just want to read/write about the more personal aspects of life with.

My family is deeply trans/homophobic and I don't think we'll ever even get to the point they're no hostile towards me and I don't even think I'll even tell them and just disappear from their lives given they might actually try to beat the shit out of me.
I'm leaving for florida for college and I have gotten advice that people usually find a found family of close friends but what if they leave me too? What if no one will want me as a forever partner neither b/c I'm trans, I hate this body so much dawg.
I have got very varied takes on this, one of my sister's friends said it's the most drained he's ever falet and "no" you don't have any time for things like animating or drawing but my sister's other friend said I could but come med school you have drop everything for a while.

Theres someone in my high school who I've seen draw free handedly these insane works and animates just so effortlessly I don't even know how to express it but it looks like a a Satoshi Kon work. She doesn't want to do art though as in her words "I still gotta eat" and is planning to do engineering or pre med but it stinks sm b/c I love the way she writes and illustrates it all for this AP art class we both take and I wonder if it's true but I also wonder if someone as good as a art director such as Satoshi Kon would've done just as well in this day n age b/c of that.
