Sightings of Male Bengal Tigers from Kerala are seemingly rare, they look different to their Central and North Indian counterparts

This one is from Trivanduram, based on many photos on the internet - Bengal Tigers in Kerala live in very green areas. I just wanted to include the second picture as reference - from Periyar Tiger reserve. Their orange in their coats seems more pronounced compared to Tigers from other regions!

Powerful Wild Male Lion from Dinokeng reserve (camera trap shot)- Towering Forelimbs, distinct Mane colour

Beautiful Shot 🇿🇦

Upon first glance many will assume this is a Wild Siberian Tiger, however this is actually a Bengal Tiger from Bhutan 🇧🇹 (camera trap shot from the wild)

Quite fascinating that even in Bengal Tigers there’s variety in their coats - with this Male from Bhutan adopting thicker fur similar to their Siberian Tiger cousins. These Males in these cold climates must probably hold on too more body fat to stay warm similar to Amur Tigers, it’s genuinely so fascinating and hard to believe that Bengal Tigers can also look like this. The second photo I’m adding just for comparison to show the variation (credits in the photo - not sure if they’re from Panna).

Ranthambore Tigers have this distinct look compared to Tigers of other regions - they have these tufts around their face that have a “pseudo Mane” type of appearance

Can anyone explain why? I tend to notice they have this feature compared to other places where I don’t see it much. At the very least it seems more distinct at Ranthambore even if Tigers all have that.

Male Lion during a Solo Hunt in the water against Cape Buffalo gets unlucky when the herd shows up

I believe he succeeds in that hunt if the Herd didn’t show up with a clutch rescue.

The video was posted on YouTube but the original video I found this from had been deleted but luckily I downloaded it! There are quite a few Solo Male Lion vs Buffalo hunts that have been deleted from YT 😔

Ronaldo’s best seasons - tier list - his best was never 07/08 or his 15/16-16/18 (including noodle hair versions) which casuals tend to claim

Sorry abt the poor quality, for some reason it just got saved like that - I think you can see it better when zoomed!

People who say 15/16-17/18 Ronny (noodle hair versions too) and 07/08 Ronny are his peak don’t know ball 🤷

I personally rank 14/15 this high because his output was insaneee - like yes I get that due to his knee injury he started being less explosive and dribbling less but imo in this season he didn’t really change **As much** as people say - he was still dribbling a good bit, in fact the difference isn’t too significant compared to 13/14 - check out the solo goal he scored in the 14/15 season vs Levante. I do think if 14/15 Ronny won the UCL then he’d be seen in a similar light to 13/14 Ronny but I think he was better - 13/14 takes it in overall game play but the difference isn’t too significant while 14/15 Ronny has insane output (48 goals, 16 assists, 35 league games)..

I really think that it was only 15/16 when it really had an effect. 3-peat Ronny was still amazing in his own way, just pointing out these points. less

Messi’s Best Seasons - Tier list form

Sorry abt the bad quality - that’s how it ended up when being saved to my phone!

Imo 18/19 Messi while being insane overall in terms of playmaking, dribbling, goal scoring - just his overall game play really plus carrying, he still misses top 3 due to being less explosive than the versions above who were also great dribblers and playmakers in their own right.

14/15 is no.1 for me - he matches 18/19 Messi in the “completeness” department - though his dribbling in 14/15 was better than 18/19 plus his explosiveness, acceleration and pace was at a high level despite the events of 13/14. Although Messi had a much better team in 14/15 I think evidently due to his age when watching him play I would still take that version of him above 18/19.

As for 11/12 due to being an insane record breaking season I’m willing to even overlook certain other criteria’s to place him at no.2.

I think 09/10 Messi is kinda underrated in comparison to the slightly overrated 08/09 Messi - who I believe ppl only really consider better due to Barca winning the treble - with the UCL but again we are talking about who’s better individually and trophies should be team-focused. If 09/10 Barca beat Inter and went on to win the UCL I do believe he’d be considered better than his 08/09 version by many.

Absolute Tank of a Male Lion, Orkirikoi takes down a BULL Cape Buffalo Solo in the Maasai Mara. His Coalition Partner had died years ago, way before this vid

He’s a brilliant Male, a Heavy Guy. His partner Oloborani died in January 2024 forcing him to step up as the Solitary Pride Male and leader of the Survey Pride. At the point this video was filmed (late 2025) - I believe he was still leading his Pride until it was taken over by 2 of the KazKaz Males. He continues to live as a Nomad now, and is still Healthy and in good shape.

He’s often seem roaming near the R5 coalition now!

Heavy, Black Maned Tsavo Male Lion - interestingly while many Males from that region are Maneless/barely maned, not all are! Tsavo, Kenya 🇰🇪

This Black Maned Tsavo Male Lion was posted in a Netflix documentary I believe - I can’t remember which one as it was years ago but I remember seeing it. At the time I was surprised that you could also find Tsavo Lions with Manes since they are often found Maneless or barely maned like you’d notice in a young Sub-adult Male in other populations.

Although the body of Mane still isn’t as thick as Certain Black Maned Male Lions you’d see from Kruger he still has a Pretty Great Mane even for other populations standards, let alone Tsavo, Kenya.

Young Male Lion takes down Buffalo SOLO, in a head-on Hunt in an open field, Lioness watches.. Buffalo initially charges at the Lion as well before getting taken down!

Bull Buffalo… Nature is amazing, what a courageous young Lion taking down a BULL Buffalo!!

On my side I don’t think the quality was too good, but hopefully it’s better now.

Video is a bit long so you can skip through it as well to see the main highlights of the Hunt!

Canon versions - who do yall have between 23 yr old Light (from pt.2) vs L (24-25 yrs old) compared to 17-18 yr old Light vs L (24-25 yrs old)

Imo,

23 yr old Light > L (24/25 yo)

L (24/25 yo) >= 17/18 yr old Light from pt 1

19-23 Light (during timeskip, post L’s death but Pre Near and Mello) > L (24/25 yo)

At 23 Light has years of experience under his belt. He has the experience of facing off against a formidable opponent like L himself and overcoming him, created the system including L and Watari’s voices after being deleted and took on the roles of “L, E.Coil, Deneuve and Watari” solving cases while acting as Kira for all those years, 6 months of working in the NPA, has the experience of facing off against Near and Mello who are coming at him from 2 angles.

While many claim he’s less intelligent in part 2 compared to 1 due to the Warehouse encounter with Near - there are Certain implications in canon that Light didn’t take Near and Mello 100% seriously, not saying he’s going easy on them but rather he underestimates them compared to L plus Mikami’s mistake (Light isn’t blameless here but I do think that’s where the part where Light underestimates Near comes into play). If anything if comparing intelligence we are looking at their capabilities at FP - against a threat he deemed worthy enough to go all out like VS L.

I also want to point out that the brain fully develops at 25, Light in the end is 23 which is much closer compared to when he was 17/18 when facing a fully mature L at 24/25 which if anything is a testament to how impressive Light is in-verse. When L faced off against Light he also has years of experience being a detective while he’s going against a Teenage Light who’s intelligent but still inexperienced and new to being Kira. I do think there’s a bit of a power imbalance there and when most people compare L vs Light they tend to have this younger version of Light in mind compared to the more fleshed out version of L, ignoring the point in time Light himself has that experience. I do think “Feats” - yes can be based off intelligence, luck, etc but also experience and gained intelligence from such.

A main anti feat L fans like to use is the Lind L tailor incident although I would give Light grace due to being 17 in Highschool with the prefrontal cortex not being fully developed (responsible for impulse control, planning and self regulation) while facing an adult at 25 who’s significantly experienced and mature developmentally. In fact a part of growing up is learning from previous mistakes, pitfalls and successes and then improving from them. We even see Light at times reflects on times he was too impulsive against L in Part 1 of DN. While I do think again Light isn’t blameless, L fans do over exaggerate this feat. And in a way how would anyone expect someone has the power to control media outlets and how it’s manipulated/ censored.

Even his anti feat where Yotsuba member Namikawa goes “even L can be tricked” when Memory Less Light took the phone if anything is one of those things you kind of improve on as you as yes people point out that L himself wouldn’t get tricked by that like Light did but if we were looking at a younger L at 18 - who’s to say he wouldn’t. It’s likely L has made mistakes and had to improve on them to get to where he was at 25.

Bit random but I also have Adult Light> L> Teen Light (17/18) > MT Near> Near/Mello > BB. Anyways open to other opinions and discussion, just a bit of Death Note Fun.

Anyways who knows Maybe people when comparing L y’all already have Part 2 Light in mind; I thought they don’t that’s why I thought to post this - I do think some Death Note fans tend to be shortsighted (me included, but I’m trying).

I’d like to see what yall think, on most other places like the DN subreddit or social media I’ve seen most people say L wins or even stomps, rarely the opposite but in this subreddit I’ve been incredibly surprised at how often I’ve seen people say Light> L or even that it’s close. Like here I’ve seen an equal amount say either wins which is refreshing.

When discussing Hard Work/ Worth Ethic VS Talent, is it possible that having an Insane Work Ethic itself IS a Talent?

Bear with me as I’m about to go on a rant..

Would you say these things are separate like many people say or not, or do you think it’s the case of two things being true at the same time or even something that can only be judged cased by case, ie. applies to one person but not to another.

This came to mind when thinking about extremely hard working individuals in their craft (who also happen to be insanely talented). I thought about Cristiano Ronaldo, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson all of which are considered extremely hard working who put hours and hours into their craft.

There’s always a comparison between Messi and Ronaldo, where people refer to Messi as being Pure Talent alone and Ronaldo to be a Pure Hardworker. I don’t agree completely with that notion as I believe Ronaldo is specifically blessed with both Footballing and Athletic/Physical based Talent while Messi is hardworking in his own right. Even if Messi is more talented overall and Ronaldo is more hardworking overall.

This got me thinking - actually dedicating yourself to your craft and having that degree of obsession is something you don’t see 99% of people have. So many temptations exist in the world, to party, not train or eat well, etc. Some people are so obsessed at being the best at their craft they even develop this sort of ego - Michael Jordan and Kobe both being seen as domineering and hard to work with, Ronaldo being seen as arrogant. But this is something many of the Greatest have in common yet in the Grand scheme of things regarding human beings - these guys are the freaks, exceptional. 1 in a Billion.

Is that Drive, Obsession and Work ethic itself a Talent?

This guy could play hearts man, Canonically at that lol. Funny thing is, apart from his erm hobbies, behaviour and whatnot (lol) - I’ve seen guys like him irl (looks and personality wise) and they can get away with anything like the Halo effect is real even in Death note a good bit of his charm relies on his looks like I doubt if he looked like some absolute Melon a lot of his charm would be lost. Credit tho as he’s aware of that and can use it to his advantage.
