How often do you get a bad stomach virus?

I’m 33F, no kids and currently suffering through a horrendous stomach virus - 3 days of continuous diarrhoea, 1 day of vomiting, stomach pain, body aches, extreme fatigue.

The last such horrendous bug I had was only 11 months ago.

How often do you get such bugs, particular if you don’t have kids?

2 years ago, I started swimming every week and I wonder if that’s increasing my risk? I often accidentally swallow water and lots of kids swim at my local pool.

Passed!

So happy to pass my PhD defense last week! I’m still happy but it also doesn’t feel real esp using the Dr. title! How did you celebrate in the days after passing your PhD and did it change your perspective / emotions towards work? Eg feeling less vulnerable / fearful of job loss / less imposter syndrome / mote confident etc?

Has anyone healed strep induced asthma using MM tools?

I have read the MM books but Interested to hear real life experiences of healing asthma caused by strep through medical medium tools - what MM healing tools got rid of your asthma? That’s one thing I’ve not been able to shift

Thanks!

Anyone have IBS for over 2 months+ after taking antibiotic?

I have experienced digestive issues since taking a course of antibiotics (flucloxacillin, 4 times a day, on an empty stomach as requested) for 1 week for a skin infection, about 8 weeks ago. It definitely started since then - I have not had any solid stools since then (but diarrhea is only once a day so not extreme).

Anyone else experienced similar? Did your digestive health go back to normal after a while? If so, how long did it personally take for you please? Worried I've permanently affected my guts 😞

I know APs can have very strong thoughts on how their children should live their lives.. those of you who obeyed and set your life up exactly how your parents wanted you to live, are you happy now or do you regret it?

Asking as my sibling is someone who seems to be modelling his entire life on what APs think is the right way to live i.e.:

  1. Career choice

  2. (Hypothetical) Partner choice (what age they should be, what ethnicity they should be, what is important in a partner)

  3. Location (even if it's ridiculously outside of their price range)

  4. Boundaries (i.e. the belief that a parent should always come before their partner)

I know typically asian kids tend to stay living with parents for longer, but there's also a general trend that people now (of all ethnicities) are moving out later due to high cost of living etc.

What age did you move out of your parents place and what country/city did you live in?

I moved out at 22, but my sibling still lives at home at age 27.

e.g. icons of household objects, fruits etc. generated via chat gpt - can they be used in PhD slides without risk of copyright issues?

Thanks

I am in the UK.
