is my only option to stay on 18.7.7 or update to 26.6?
have an iPhone 14 on iOS 18.7.7 and tried updating to 18.7.8, the update downloads but not going through. I tried: deleting the update and downloading it again; and factory reset but none seems to work. my bf got an iPhone 15 on iOS 17(?) straight from the box and it updated to iOS 18.7.8 pretty easily. so how come mine dont?? I dont get it.
bought this in april brand new sealed in box. it’s on iOS 16.0.3. I moved places and forgot about it, and then yesterday I tried updating to iOS 18.7.8, but apparently Apple stopped signing those awhile ago. even I was late to DelayOTA. now it’s as if I got her way back in 2022. still fresh on iOS 16. only downside is I can’t seem to get it to connect to my carrier (AT&T) so it’s wifi use only.
if anyone can help me figure out how to update without updating to iOS 26, please let me know. otherwise, how much do these go for? it has 128gb.
went to apple store yesterday to charge my phone for a bit lol. the 17 and 17e colors are lovely, but as a small purse girly, they wont fit my coach nolita 15. 😔 the 13 mini is light and compact and is perfect for a backup phone. love her dearly. 💕
I have 2 iPhone 14s. one is running iOS 18.7.7, and the other is running iOS 16.03. I am trying to update both on iOS 18.7.8, they are downloaded, but can’t seem to go past the verifying page and then says it’s unavailable. I am NOT updating to iOS 26, so why is apple forcing us to? this is just ridiculous.
had a mini back in 2021-2023 and then upgraded to the 15 pro. been chasing the mini feeling ever since then. I pulled the trigger on the SE (2 & 3), 12 minis (which was always a fail bc I l’d buy an excellent condition and it almost always comes with deep scratches) then finally can afford to get the 13 mini! got it in pink again bc it matches my leather case well. the last 13 mini I got was reported stolen, so I just gave it away.
this new pink mini I got came with 88% BH, and a small nick on the camera edge but too small to notice. it’s on iOS 26.3 still. may wait until iOS 27 to update. so far so good, it’s my secondary device and was perfect to fit in my tiny purse (coach nolita 15, not the 19!) for concerts. miss this thing so much. they should do an updated 10-year anniversary in the near future! 💕💕💕
P.S: the charging port seems dirty + hard to plug in. does anyone know if apple will clean it for free?
my iPhone 15 is still running iOS 18. it’s on iOS 18.7.8 to be exact, which is what apple is telling me to update it to. it says, “upgrade to iOS 26” but iOS 18.7.8 is what shows up. I’m confused. I’m refusing to update to iOS 26 bc of the ugly liquid glass and confusing app changes (camera, photos apps). not sure what will happen if I click on the upgrade to iOS 26 one even though it shows iOS 18.7.8. not the iOS 26.6 one.
I have 3 iPads: iPad Mini 6, iPad Air M2, and iPad Mini 7. both the M2 and Mini 7 have 128gb only. the Mini 6 has 256gb. I got the M2 basically for free after my bf gave me his Apple store credits, and the Mini 6 I got from my school bookstore (deducted from tuition), and Mini 7 I got after trading in my A16/11th Gen iPad. there’s no really use for me to have 3 iPads. I have been using the Mini 7 as a main device, but want to go back to using the Mini 6 instead. I’m in my last year of college, and will probably not use the iPads all that often after grad.
here’s the kicker: Apple is offering only $250 trade-in credits. Best Buy is offering $300. I want to sell it for at least $329 if I were to do the selling route. looking to get an iPhone 17e regardless of what I go with. the Mini 7 has 22 cycle count, on iOS 18.7.8, bought on Oct 2025.

my very first iPhone. an SE 1 with only 32gb. has Instagram, Dazz, and Spotify so I’m good. I’ve gone through so many iPhones (8, 11, 13 mini, 14, 15 pro) but this one is the one I kept among all 5 (well I’m still paying off my 15 pro lol). but she’s such a beauty and holds herself quite well. changed battery around 3-4 years ago (3rd-party), still has 100% battery health and can go on for 3-4 days without charging. she’s small but mighty. I’m keeping her forever. 💓 (I may get another with 64 or 128gb)
got a 12 mini refurb a couple months ago, with a newly installed battery (genuine from apple) when I bought it. it’s updated to iOS 26.5, (came in with iOS 26.1) and I noticed even when I’m not using it, the battery runs fast. I only use it as a secondary phone, mainly for music. I even have the wifi turned off and no apps running in the background. it’s been exactly 12 hours since I charged it to 100%, and now it’s sitting at 70% with no screen time on. is this normal for an aging iphone? the battery is new and still has 100% capacity. the SE 3 I have alongside it (another secondary phone) has 87% battery capacity and runs on iOS 18.7.8, still has 90% battery from last night’s full charge. anyone run into the same issue?
other than thinner bezels, possibly pro-motion, 120hz, and other noticeable things, can we at least get the pink color back? it does not make sense to me that apple kept it in their iphone line up, and now released it on the new macbook neo. the last pink ipad was the ipad air 5 released in 2022. apple will make so much money from the ipad mini girlies buying the pink color 😭 I had a mini 6 in pink 3 years ago, and I miss it so much.
edit: I forgot about the 10th gen ipad and the a16, they also have pink but a bit too much in my opinion
always loved the starlight and had it on my iPhone 13 ~3 years ago. still thinking about it, so I got the iPhone 14 in the same color 🤍 I’m obsessed 😭🙈
(plz delete if not allowed) bit of a rant but in 2022, I found an SE 1 64gb in silver that was in mint condition. phone was pristine except it was locked to boost mobile. yesterday I went home and asked if she’s seen it somewhere, she said, “oh was it the small phone? I sold it for $20” like what??? I bought it for $80 4 years ago. like it doesnt matter how much I bought it for, but I was saving and using it as an ipod whenever I’m home. I’m away from college and lowkey felt offended. whoever got it was lucky asf, at least condition-wise. it came with the box and she even gave them new headphones for it as well (she also got them from another yard sale lol). now I’m on the hunt for another SE 1 specifically in silver, but maybe I opt for 128gb if I see one somewhere. my SE 1 rose gold only has 32gb and starting to be painfully slow 🥲
