Gifts for a OG Love Live! & Muse Fan

My partner’s birthday is coming up in just over a month and she loves classic Love Live!

Particularly she likes Muse and Aquors but mainly Muse and that’s what I’d like to aim for. My budget is roughly up to $75. I was considering getting her a box of card packs or something fun like that. I would appreciate any suggestions from some fans! I’m open to cards or other ideas. She doesn’t have much merch at all.

Thank you :)

Essential or Advanced Protection?

We have a TZ270W at our small office. Currently we have the Threat Protection Service Suite which expires in about a month.

I’ve been comparing the Essential Protection Service Suite with the Advanced Protection Security Suite.

As of now i’m leaning more towards EPSS. The way our firewall is now is fine, no issues. The EPSS features all aspects of our current TPSS with a few additional items.

I would appreciate any guidance that can help me confirm which route i’ll take. Let me know if any additional information can help.

Details of plan changed on second month?

I'm new to the NYS Health Insurance Marketplace. I've always been with Healthfirst and they are fine. I was on the Essential Plan 1 until I started a new job where I make a little more.

When it was time to figure out a new plan, I spoke with a Healthfirst representative who helped break down the details and process. I ended up deciding on going with the Silver Leaf Premier plan. I received cost reductions because I make under $62,000 salary. The HF rep told me my Deductible would be $3500 and Max Out of Pocket $9200. I was shocked but I always knew Health Insurance was a shit show. My plan kicked in June 1st of this year.

Things are going fine, insurance is doing its thing with the usual pains. July 15th hits (2 months since my plan selection was due) and I notice that my Deductible and Max Out of Pocket have changed. Now they it's a $250 Deductible and a Max Out of Pocket of $3500. I mean this seems way more in line with what I make and can afford but what the hell. I'm still under the Silver Leaf Premier plan, Healthfirst confirmed that this information is correct, and on the NYS Health Insurance Portal I received messages about my enrollment that are the same as the ones I got when I first signed up except with those new numbers.

I still make the same amount, haven't moved, same financial credit toward my premium. I had to get a new insurance card sent, I received a packet like it was my first time being enrolled again.

I mean it is a good change but what could have happened here? I know they cut off Essential Plan 2 or something as of July 1st in NYS but that doesn't affect me. I'm just so confused...

I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments. Thank you.

Sorry for the messy wall of text, wanted to get this posted quickly before my commute.

Healthfirst Plan - Broker sold me on a plan and then the actual plan was far different.

So multiple calls with a Healthfirst rep for Silver Leaf Premier when I was shopping for marketplace plans.

Says the plan will have a $3500 deductible which sucked but the plan worked so I locked that in. Get the physical card and it matches that.

Two months later I check my virtual card and the deductible is $250 and after contacting Healthfirst support twice they confirm that $250 is accurate. My physical card said $3500. They are sending me a new card.

What the hell happened? I mean it's good news but what in the hell. Mind the 250 vs 3500 was for the same exact plan.

Sorry I needed to post this in a pinch so it's half-assessed.

Need help finding a good Squishy online shop

Anniversary is coming up and I really want to get her some top tier squishies. She loved seeing what ruirui on tiktok had to offer but i’m skeptical to order from that shop.

Anyone have some solid suggestions for some more unique squishes online? I like supporting a smaller business but not essential. We’ve already been through the basics like Needoh.

Interested in all types. Shops with a decent variety are preferable. My budget is around $75.

Thank you :)

Best Credit Card for Heavy Gas Spending? Need a second card.

I’ve had a Discover card for about 4 years now. I’ve used it primarily for food and drink outings. I have a great credit score but I definitely need another card at this point.

I drive a lot for work. I fill up my tank once a week at Costco. I get reimbursement for gas and I think it’d be dumb to not to take advantage of the reoccurring spending.

I’ve read that the Costco credit cards aren’t what they used to be but I’m still leaning that direction.
I of course also shop at Costco a few times a month.

Any suggestions?

Updating Firmware for TZ270W

I'm basically an IT Admin for an office full of older people that aren't very tech literate. IT Admin is not my actual job but it is a role that I've slowly been taking over in addition to what I actually do here.

We have a TZ270 (hardware appliance, not NSv) that is on version SonicOS 7.0.1-5119 and recently my boss received an email from SonicWall recommending updating to the new version 7.3.3-7015. Had I known that we were on such an old version I would have researched this months ago.

I already retained a local backup and exported the configuration currently in place. The release notes mention a fresh installation when upgrading NSv from 7.0.1 to 7.3.x, but that appears to only be for virtual firewalls.

My question is: Can a physical TZ270W upgrade directly from 7.0.1-5119 to 7.3.3-7015, or is there an intermediate firmware version that SonicWall recommends first? Is there anything I should verify before upgrading besides having configuration backups? I assume it is highly worth updating.

I'd greatly appreciate any responses! Any general thoughts, advice, or tips are also welcome. I already opened a support ticket.

Thank you!

6 Months in and want to hear your thoughts...

First I want to apologize for the absolute word-vomit but I truly appreciate anyone who reads and just says what they think about it all. I'm not looking for anything specific but I need to get it out. Thank you.

My situation is a bit different than the average person I suppose. I worked demanding manual labor for a little over a decade in a very niche high-end vacation spot my entire life until the start of 2026. I have a bachelors in business management from a solid school but struggled to find my footing beyond that.

Someone who's now family and is extremely well-off approached me with an offer to join their company and I was in a position to absolutely accept. I wasn't too certain on exactly what I was getting into but I knew the company has a impressive history with a large pivot from big contract jobs to property management around 2020. I felt stuck in life as I began entering my late 20s, things weren't bad but I wasn't going to be moving up much where I was.

It is a reliable nurturing environment that feels rare. It is me and just a few people, the boss who took me in included. We have a modest sizeable office building with some very solid tenants operating business and space for more. We also own a few high end luxury condo units.

In my six months so far I've taken on a few roles:

I've basically become an IT admin. Understanding and maintaining an older legacy IT infrastructure that was originally intended for an office of 40 people which is obviously no longer our case. They are all much older and not very tech literate beyond average use. I've handled documenting and learning the current setup, migrating our domain along with 20 years of email data to a modern platform, and I'm still working through getting other aspects up to date slowly. Troubleshooting countless backend issues with our virtual machines, file server, historical business data backups, your average office printer problems and whatnot, even odd jobs like getting some ancient security cameras back online. Most of their documentation on what they have is outdated or nonexistent.

I've gotten three FDNY certifications for supervision of standpipes, sprinklers, and air compressors. I'm working on becoming a Notary Public for the occasional notarization when they need it.

Of course I'm also learning the core operations of property management. Handling tenant issues as they come up, taking up accounts receivables and keeping records of them as they come, scheduling and being present for building inspections of all sorts. Studying leases and insurance policies. Sitting in on meetings with law professionals and whatnot. I'm really trying to absorb as much as I possibly can. I'm learning property management and working in an office setting from the ground up.

I feel like there is a lot more I can mention but it's hard to think beyond at this moment. I'm not as used to the slower paced environment as opposed to having to work to my limit nonstop day to day but it is nice.

The main issue is that I commute about 44 miles one way. It isn't forever and I'm living at home saving as much as possible with minimal financial burden but it is a tough drive to handle. It eats up 3.5-4 hours of my day alone. My small team are all under their spouses health insurance so I do not get health insurance here. I do get a generous travel reimbursement which basically evens out my health insurance premiums but it does suck. I can only drive here even with the place I live having a ton of train travel opportunities, the place I work is practically a dead zone. I work 9-5 Mon-Fri and it has been a tough life balance to take on but I am committed. My starting salary not including my reimbursement is 50k. All I can think about is me and my gf moving to the city but that prospect needs more time, until 2027 at least when I get my first raise. She works an average wage job at the moment. I get two weeks vacation and a week of sick days. One vacation week is mandatory around the holidays and I used my other week about two months in with a family trip that was planned way before I started. I'm also just nervous about taking sick days even for a mental health day.

TLDR: I feel like I have a solid job but this commute makes me want to die.

Mostly venting and want to hear what other people think, maybe some words of encouragement lol. I apologize for the inconsistent cluttered wording but uh yea. Thank you again.

Wired Mouse with an older iMac.

Older coworker has an iMac that is about 10 years old.

He used a wireless apple trackpad and keyboard until recently when the battery for the devices became shot.

He plugged in a wired third-party keyboard and mouse, very basic stuff. The keyboard works no issue but the mouse has an issue. The wired mouse lets him control the cursor but he cannot click anything.

Any ideas on a solution?

My best guess is that it isn't compatible with the older computer.

I asked him to verify if at least right-click works. If the scroll wheel works. And to try a different USB port.

Anyone experience a similar situation?

Question on picking between two plans

I'm now entering the world of Marketplace Health Insurance. I've narrowed it down between HealthFirst Silver Premier and Silver Premier Plus. In the image the left column is premier and the right column is premier plus. The premier medical deductible is $3,500 and premier plus is $2,100. It seems that the lower deductible one is good for someone who anticipates use of heavy medical service but the higher deductible option would fit someone in my situation.

One of the most frequent health services I receive is from a psychologist for ADHD treatment. I'm also on a waitlist to work with a therapist. From my interpretation, the $40.00 is the cost for treatment from the start that doesn't require the deductible being met to apply. Meanwhile the Premier plus is only $30.00 but requires me hitting that deductible. I feel a bit confused but I'm basically locked into selecting one of the two plans.

The rest of the plans details are basically identical so I'm just trying to determine what option is best for me. I don't really have any frequent medical care outside of psychiatric and therapy. Maybe a few urgent care visits a year, a few dental visits, and a yearly eye exam(all covered in both plans). I feel like I'm leaning a bit more towards the regular silver premier if that is the case but I'd appreciate any advice!

NYS HealthFirst - Now Entering Marketplace

I’m 27 and started a 50k salary job with no benefits besides travel stipends for my travel to NYC. The job does have very promising growth. Not married, no kids, still live at home.

I now no longer qualify for my HealthFirst Essential 1 Plan. I plan to stick with HealthFirst because I want to continue to stick with all of the care providers I currently see. I’m expecting to spend an estimated $525 a month with the Silver Premier plan.

Just wanted to see any thoughts on my situation. This is a new experience for me. Any advice, tips, whatever is greatly appreciated!

Thank you

At my office we got new PCs, migrated our emails to outlook (god why) and it has been mostly good.

One person is trying to print out a calendar and it prints out too feint for him to read. I print out the same calendar and it shows perfect in comparison. His printer works fine with anything else he prints, even other content on outlook looks crystal. His printer is the same as mine. I saw that this can be an odd issue on outlook but the “new” outlook lacks a lot of print options for calendars.

Anyone else ever encounter this? It’s such an odd and silly issue.
