I watched Excellent Adventure and Bogus Journey back to back

Excellent Adventure - seems to be the better movie start to finish, a little more charming, has the 80s feel.

Bogus Journey- I love how it’s got its own feel. More sci-fi, more creative and exploratory in the themes. Has probably the best scene in the franchise with Bill and Ted playing games against Death. Better soundtrack too.

Any thoughts to add?

2010 LS no crank

Bought this car 7/31 and was driving it 8/1… went out, did some errands.. oil change, parked the car at AAA and came home. Parked, Shut the car off, and opened the door. Radio stayed on… I tried to start it again. No crank, nothing, but radio stays on unless I disconnect battery.

Contacted seller and he said this happened before and that seller he got it from fixed it by “replacing main fuse”… it’s at a second shop now.

I’ve read everything from starter to starter solenoid, starter relay, ignition switch, starter wire, neutral safety switch, door jamb switch…. Mechanic is going to call me this week.

It wont crank but radio will come on, windows and locks will work… to shut off, I disconnect battery (but maybe it would die out anyway)

Anyone have this issue? 3.5 with column shift btw

04 century with 35k miles!

Looking at this car tomorrow - looks very clean. Guy wants $3k… anything to look out for? It’s way too low and I’m worried about fluids and rubber.

02 Camry

Found a nice fairly clean and rust free (mostly) 02 Camry. Ran well, very clean interior, good tires, breaks were OK not amazing but they worked.

Seller wants $3800. I felt $3000 was a lowball.

Would $3400 be a good offer?

Has 140k miles , 4 cylinder engine

Nissan buying advice

Hey all.

Looking at cars. Nissans pop up. In my price range I’m seeing a lot of late 2000s to mid 2010s models.

I am aware of the CVT. And I’ve heard good and bad so I ask…

I’m open to sedans, SUVs… what do I need to avoid, look for, and ask for?

I’m guessing the best place would be a vehicle with maintenance records and especially on transmissions.

With that said, what should I consider and what should I cross off? How important is mileage as well.

I really like the Altima and rogue in particular but am open.

Thank you!

Jeep Patriot Buyers Guide/Advice

Hello all!

So I’m on the car search (sold my 09 Impala, a decent car and I wouldn’t mind another one or a similar vehicle like a panther car or Buick) BUT am interested in maybe something different… like a patriot/compass

I’ve seen many for sale. Many with the CVT, without the CVT and here’s my question.

If I’m getting a patriot, what should I look for? I looked at a 2011 with 111k miles but the guy has no history on the transmission service (small dealer)

I also know some shops won’t service a CVT at all.

So my question here is, if I’m getting a patriot/compass, what’s my best bet? And what should I ask?dealer or private sale?

I’ve been considering this along with something like Nissan Rogue/Juke (more CVTs) or something like a ford escape.

Thanks for reading!

Advice for 2000s/early 2010s Corolla/camry

Hey guys, looking to spend 3-6k for a car. 2005-2013 Camry and Corollas are options. Anything I need to look out for or know?

How comfortable are the cloth seats? Always wanted a car with velour cloth.
