21 Camry Hybrid 630,000 Miles Original Drivetrain

I acquired this car roughly a week ago from a family member. We are all in the courier business and drive incredibly high mileage. Recently, they hit a deer while driving back from Michigan, with about 300 miles still left to get home. The car drove without issue until about halfway through the trip, when the cruise control stopped working.

The issues this car has had so far are a bad O2 sensor and an overheating hybrid battery. I was only able to recreate the overheating twice. I replaced the battery cooling filter and topped off the coolant reservoir, and I have not been able to get it to overheat again.

It will cost about $1,000 to get it back on the road. It needs a new radiator, along with some body panels and a headlight.

The car has been well maintained, with oil changes every 10,000 miles. The front brakes have been replaced three times, while the rear brakes have only been replaced twice. It still has the original wheel bearings and CV axles. As far as I know, the shocks were replaced at around 300,000 miles.

This reinforces the fact that Toyota is unparalleled when it comes to reliability. My Camry Hybrid has 167,000 miles and still drives just as well as the day I drove it off the lot.

If you are considering a new vehicle, I could not recommend a Toyota hybrid enough. They are fantastic vehicles.

Weight loss journey

So, as of last March, I started Wegovy at roughly 450 lbs. As of now, I’m at 334 lbs, but I seem to be fluctuating by about 4 to 5 lbs. On the 14th of this month, I was 329.4 lbs, but yesterday the scale said 334 lbs. I’m a bit frustrated because it feels like I’ve hit a standstill.

I’ve changed my eating habits significantly. I no longer eat fast food aside from healthier options like Chipotle or Subway. I cut out full sugar sodas in the middle of last year, and now I only indulge in sugar free sodas once every couple of weeks. Even then, I cut myself off after one or two glasses.

I’m not going to lie, I had BBQ over the weekend, which is incredibly salty, so maybe that caused some water retention, along with weighing myself at different times of the day. Any insight would be great. All of my friends and family who are into bodybuilding and watching their weight are telling me it’s normal and not to get discouraged, but I can’t help it.  I don’t know.
