Noise Marine Squad (Finally Finished!)

Took me just over 2 months, but my first full squad of noise marines is complete! Had a lot of fun with it, it was a big project and my first full squad painted using sub-assembly. So proud of how they came out!

Golden Overlord of the Doradakh Dynasty

Newly painted Overlord w/ Translocation Shroud for my custom Dynasty, the Doradakh. They were once known wide among the Necrontyr as one of the wealthiest dynasties, but slowly they became obsessed with protecting their hoard. Their overlord decreed that the Doradakh shall forever be buried in the image of their splendor, and sealed themselves in tombs of gold and porcelain. To ensure none but the Doradakh could find their treasure, the crypteks used forbidden magitek to lock the orbit of their homeworld (and its moon) into a permanent eclipse, where “the only light that remains shall be the glitter of our gold.” Within their tombs, the hate and narcissism that consumed the Doradakh in life would twist them into raving, gold-plated abominations.

Let me know what you all think!

Halfway done my Noise Marines! (3/6 WIP)

I’ve now painted one of each weapon for my Noise Marines squad, very happy with how they’re turning out! I’ve still got 2 more Sonic Blasters and 1 Blastmaster to paint. The Astrogranite on my sword guy’s base is still drying in this pic, gonna finish it up in a few hours.

First Chaos Terminator Painted! (Emperor’s Children)

Finally got back on my Chaos grind! I finished Brutal Kunnin’ and have now moved on to Fulgrim, for my favorite Legion. I had to warm up with a few other 40K audiobooks and “learn the language” before diving head-first into a Horus Heresy audio novel. In any case, I had a ton of fun painting up this Terminator in Barbie-pink armor, and I will be doing it again soon!

Wrecka Krew Boss Nob (my apology to Nobz)

Came back to painting my Wrecka Krew after a long break. I made a post earlier today asking about Nobz as a more dated kit, and as my apology for suggesting Nobz might get Legends’d I put extra effort into painting this Boss Nob. Really fun model to paint!

What’s happening to Nobz?

The Nobz kit is pretty old, about as old as the classic Boyz sprue among others in the Orks range. I have a squad, they’re not my favorite— visually not that distinct from Boyz and their rules kinda blow (including that they’re 110 points). We saw that in 11th edition, Boss Nobs in the upcoming Boyz kit will be moved up to a bigger base size, and this is also visible with Nobs from other kits like the Wrecka Crew. So far though, it doesn’t seem like the Nobz kit is due for any changes/refreshes, and I don’t see anyone really using them.

So my question now is, what’s going to happen to Nobz in 11th? Will they get re-based, or a full-on refresh? Or do you think they’re just gonna go to Legends? Honestly I wouldn’t even be all that broken up if Nobz went away, but that’s my opinion.

Finally got around to drawing a couple of my favorite units, Deathmarks and Catachan Jungle Fighters. Pretty pleased with how it all turned out!

I’m a big WH40K fan and my whole family loves Star Wars. Recently my mom loved the miniature AT-AT my dad had 3D printed for her desk for May the 4th, so I thought I would give her another desk vehicle for Mother’s Day. Bonus points to anyone who can read the side of the chicken walker!

Finally put together my first set of Terminators, using all the spare parts and Slaaneshi-bits I could from my Infractors, Noise Marines, and Flawless blades. I think they came out pretty good, I’ll be sticking on the Autocannon arm last since it was blocking the body.

My twin brother is a big fan of admech and finally put together his kill team. I’m an Emperor’s Children player and I’ve been on a heavy painting grind, so out of curiosity I wanted to try giving a tech-priest a spin. It seemed like a fun challenge, and I wanted to try the blue-robed scheme my brother had come up with for his custom Ice-themed forge world. Overall I really enjoyed taking a good crack at this army! I’ll have to paint more of his models sometime soon :)
