Under eye blepharoplasty? Or something else?

Hello :)

42 M - I am living really healthy etc, but one think that has started frustrating my little is my under-eye area.

On the top photo I am smiling, so that makes it show "everything", and on the lower one I am just resting. I have a small eye bag - or whatever it is - in the side of my right eye (as shown on the bottom photo), that I would really like to get rid of.

In general I just want my eye area to look how I generally feel - well-rested. I get my 8 hours of sleep, plenty of good nutrition, vitamins, water - you name it. But I feel like I look a bit tired due to that.

I was consindering getting under eye blepharoplasty, but I dont know if there is anything else I should be consindering? Botox? Fillers? I am pretty new to this world.

I do a "normal" skincare routine, and last year I started getting "vampire" microneedling, but that doesnt go into the under-eye area.

I have a little "Crows feet" as shown on the top photo, but nothing else on my face so far.

Well, all advice is very welcome :)

Minoxidil - pilleform

Dutasteride - does it grow new hair too?

Hi there :)

So, I have come to the point (40 year), where I can see that I am not going to keep all of my hair, unless I do something about it.

I read that Dutasteride should be more effective then Finasteride - and that is what I am considering starting up on. Oral. I also read about Minoxidil, but having to apply it twice a day, just seems like something I would like to avoid.

So Im thinking of starting out with just Dutasteride.

But how does it actually works? I read a lot of different answers from articles. Some says that it "only" makes the current hair stronger/thicker - but does not grow new hair (or "resurrect" the hair that I have lost so far), while other articles says, that it does in fact grow new hair.

So those of you, that have been on Dutasteride only, what is your experience? Does it in fact re-grow some of the hair you have lost, or does it only makes the current hair stronger and thicker? Im going to start it nonetheless, but it would be nice to know what I might be able to expect :)

Anyone had any success with faster haling of post-inflammatory erythema (pie)?

Hi there 😄

So I had found out the hard way, that my body does not tolerate whey protein powder. At all. I had a massive breakout on both my shoulders - and that has to be the source, since I never had anything before in my life (maybe one or two from time to time), but then I suddenly had about +10 on both shoulders. And more came. After I quit the whey, I stopped getting new ones, but the damage was already there. I probably have 30-40 red marks now on each shoulder (from large to very small), but it looks terrible.

And I understand it can take up to 6 months to heal completely because the skin is very thick on the shoulders.

So I have a huge mess of red and pink (the ones that have been fading for a while).

Does anyone have any success with speeding the healing process up?

I have read about Vitamin C cream, azelaic acid, drinking a loooot of water and laser treatments.

But does anyone tried some of this with an actual success? Because I really hope to reduce it a lot (if not completely gone) in 2 months where I am going on a long Caribbean vacation 😄

Pft 😄

Hello there :)

So one of my tires have been losing air the past 2 weeks. Only a little every day, and I havent had the time to go to the workshop yet, so I have just filled it up every third day (it drops about 0,1 each day - so it must be a tiny hole in the tire).

Today I got a yellow "PSM failure" warning in the display. Do you think this could be due to the tire? Since it has been at different levels of air every day for about 2 weeks?

Ill go to the workshop in the weekend to have it fixed.

(Its a Taycan Turbo S from ´22)

Hi there :)

I was wondering if anyone knew any studies about this:

Lets say you bulk with a daily surplus of about 500 calories. That adds about 2 kg each month. Lets say 500 gram of this are muscles, the rest are fat. If you bulk for 6 month, that will give you 3 kg of muscles and 9 kg of fat. Then you have to do a cut for X-months to cut of that 9 kgs of fat.

If instead of bulking with 500 calories in surplus - you brought it down to say 250. That would give you 1 kg each month instead. If you have your calories and everything dialed in, would that still give you 500 gram of muscles and 500 gram of fat - or does the body work in other ways?

Because preferably the best way would be to hit 125 calories in surplus (yes, thats not going to happen), and gain 100% of muscle mass.

But it that was possible, would the body function like that, or would it still build some fat a long the way, say bringing it down to 250 gram og muscle mass and 250 gram of fat instead of 500 gram of muscle mass?

It is because I finally got a really lean shape, but I am not done putting on mass. I just want to do it as lean as possible - but I dont want to leave a lot of muscle mass behind due to a too small surplus of calories.

Well, Im curious to hear your thoughts - and even better, if anyone know about any studies regarding this subject.

Hi there :)

So just a funny question.

I only do Incline DB press as my free weight exercise for chest. I havent dont regular BP for at least a decade.

I was just wondering what my BP 1rm max would have been. Just out of curiosity :)

If I can do 11 reps strict reps (all the way down and up) with 2x50 kg DB in incline (30 degrees) what would you think my 1rm would be in a strick touch´n´go Bench Press?

According to AI its would be around 140 kg. Which I find a bit low. Because the ones I know that does 140kg, cant press anywhere near the same as me in DB press :)

Just for fun - what do you think?
