Hello all, I am a Canadian citizen and am preparing to travel to China for what I planned to be 30 days landing in Shanghai and making my way down to Hong Kong before getting on my flight to Vietnam, utilizing the visa free period we get. However, I just heard that since Hong Kong is in a different jurisdiction the visa free period there is 90 days and that most people do a “visa reset” where they stay a bit in Hong Kong then re-enter mainland China for another 30 days.

This would be amazing if true Because I desperately want to visit chongqing but don’t think I’ll have enough time with just a month.

Does this feature truly exist or am I reading it wrong? What are some complications I might face?
