I think my car is special. Daily settings in the 2nd image

When I first got the car the welcome lights and Comfort Access would pick up the key from a reasonable distance away. Now both front doors barely register it unless I’m practically on top of the handle, like 1 to 2 feet. The weird part is the rear hatch still works from much farther away. That inconsistency is what makes me think something is actually off.

Everything else is fine. Car starts, remote start works, never gotten a key not detected warning while driving. Already swapped the key battery, went through all the Comfort Access settings, checked battery health, even had the dealer look at it and they came up empty. New OEM key is on order just to cross that off the list

The other thing I noticed is that earlier scans were consistently showing CA944E which is BMW_BODY_Key_SIGNAL_INVALID. Ran another scan recently and it came back totally clean, fault is gone. But nothing about the actual behavior has changed so I honestly don’t know what to do at this point

Has anyone seen this on a G series? Before I start guessing and replacing things I’d love to know if there’s a way to actually test the door handle sensors, the Comfort Access antenna, or rule out a BDC problem. Appreciate any input

Or am I just a bad driver. Think I have my settings right but damn I thought I’d be saving more gas. Car isn’t tuned or anything and I’ve been playing around between eco, comfort and this configuration of sport individual. I drive in California so yes there’s that but damn

Got my first bmw! Super pumped and the m40i is great. I wasn’t able to test drive a x3m comp till after I bought this for $50k 17k miles. Kinda liked the extra power (now the turbo lag tho) of the x3m.

Now I keep looking at x3m listings for the next upgrade? (Also because the say I got this I saw a granny driving a x5m)

Matt black or oem trim aluminum?

Anyone change their piano black trim? Was looking for maybe a dark brushed metal or brushed aluminum. Also any suggestions on replacing the shifter knob’s piano black?

Curious what you guys have as your presets. Still trying to find one I like but this is the closest I could get to having the same sound of the beoplay ex’s. (Lost one earbud and decided to try a new pair instead of paying $150 for a replacement)

Was gonna go with the 2022 Brooklyn gray 39k miles for $45k OTD (2nd spec sheet had 19” wheels and not 20”) but decided to go with the 2023 17k miles for $50k otd. Let me know how I did so I know I can stop worrying if I made the right call.

Looking for a lower height dovetail shoe that can be mounted to my Pfalcon 384+. Currently have the hrf concepts Wilcox shoe RCS-A but that raises it to a 1/3 or 1.54 centerline. I am trying to find shorter size to get the eye-centerline equal but haven’t seen any. Any help? Or suggestions?

I did a few vin decoders and the car doesn’t have the shadowline package. Said it had adaptive headlights but been staring at this pick and the car and just can’t tell if it is, isn’t, or just aftermarket

Between this 2023 sq5 loaded and at 19k miles. Or going with the x3m40i. Whoever has one have you had any issues or do you recommend it

Just test drove and damn love this car at an authorized pretty big city name dealership in California. It’s got all the add ins and the Brooklyn gray color selling for $50k msrp with about 16k. Clean CARFAX overall: no reported accidents, no damage, 1-owner personal lease, California car, and it still has about 14 months / 33,695 miles of factory warranty left.

I asked the dealer why they haven’t just put it through testing and added the cpo badge to it to make more money and let the buy get another year of added warranty. The dealer said it is not CPO because “it still has manufacturer warranty left,” and they “didn’t need to CPO it because the car is in good condition” I asked them for a full inspection report and they just showed me their car fax which also is on a connect.carfax report that apparently allows dealers to take ownership and edit or add records. (Can’t remove records though)

Also they gave me some weird “original” window sticker that I don’t believe because it’s legit missing the added sound package which the car has after test driving it lol.

The part I’m really unsure about is the miles/tire/brake history:
Pre delivery inspection reported and then
4,030 miles: two tires replaced weird right
The first owner also got the car a 5k miles…. And then boom
8,872 miles: one tire mounted/balanced/replaced

16,305 miles: all four tires replaced/mounted/balanced during dealer reconditioning

16,305 miles: front brake pads also replaced

The car had about 4,000 miles before the first personal lease owner was reported, so I’m wondering if it may have been a demo, loaner, or dealer-driven car before the lease.
Should I be worried about this tire history/miles and not wanting to do the cpo on an X3 M40i ? Could this just be normal pothole/road hazard/performance tire stuff, or is it a red flag for hard driving, alignment issues, bent wheels, or suspension impact?

Lmk if I am looking too far into this or if it’s fine cuz I really want this car but not is this sketch

Got this for $53k otd with 30k miles, 2 years left of factory warranty and cpo. Doesn’t have upgraded sound system though or heated seats which I thought was strange since that’s usually standard right? Also had a wireless charging pad with no wireless charging.

Was looking at getting an m40i and came across this listing below. The dealer says that they repaired it to spec. Still think it’s priced high but wanted to ask if this is even able to be done. Insurance marked it as totaled but the dmv didn’t
