Is it worth to enter QA in 2026?

I work as a sound technician in the TV sphere, the salary is pretty average, but I would like to find myself a job where I would feel more useful. Going to work and barely doing anything is very depressing for me. I have even considered just leaving it giving myself a break.

Of course, I had an idea to switch to IT. Even had few courses of Python to become a backend developer, but dropped it because of high competition, and also unrealistic demands and expectations from employers… I was considering Manual QA to be my last resort. But reading posts and considering the job market now, it doesn’t seem like a working idea. Do you think it’s a good time to enter QA? (Not only Manual, but also Automation).

I am 26F, if it matters 😅

How to make rhinestones work?

I wanted to recreate the eyes look from the second picture, but something doesn’t match up.

I know that the inspo pic has the white eyeliner blending, but don’t have any white eye gel liner (if they used it) and a white eye shadow doesn’t work here:/

The rhinestones are also weird looking, I don’t know if it’s the wrong size or their placement.

Should we sue the store that sold us this locked iPhone?

My brother bought a brand-new iPhone from a local phone store about a year ago. It wasn’t an Apple Store, but a local retailer.

The phone worked perfectly for an entire year. Then one day, after updating an app, it suddenly restarted and went into Activation Lock.

The strange part is:
the iPhone appeared in his Apple Account;
the IMEI matched the device listed in his account;
we recovered access to his Apple Account successfully;
but the iPhone refused to accept that account and said it couldn’t be used to unlock the device.

Some people suggested to send a removal request to Apple. We contacted Apple and submitted an Activation Lock support request. They denied it and replied that they would not review any further requests or documents for this device.

Now we’re wondering if the phone may have been sold with a bypassed Activation Lock or some other hidden issue.
The store no longer answers the phone, and it appears to have disappeared.

Would you sue the seller in this situation? Has anyone successfully recovered their money in a similar case?

Activation lock after a year of usage

Hi everyone. My brother’s iPhone suddenly entered Activation Lock after updating an app. He bought the phone new from an authorized retailer.
The phone says it’s linked to the owner and shows a partially hidden iCloud address (r*****@icloud.com).

The strange part is:
We successfully recovered access to his Apple Account (rzh@inbox.ru).
The iPhone appears in his Apple Account, and the IMEI matches.
Apple emails are sent to this account.
However, when we try to activate the iPhone, it says:
“This iPhone can’t be unlocked with the Apple Account rzh@inbox.ru.”

We don’t know where the r*****@icloud.com address came from, because it doesn’t appear anywhere in his Apple Account.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this an Activation Lock bug, or is there anything we can try before contacting Apple Support?

How can I improve my full glam makeup?

I wanted to extend my eyes and did some eyeliner on my inner corners. I also struggle with black liner on my waterline — it would be gone in a hour or so, or leave smudges. Would be grateful for recommendations!

Went to a MUA: expectations and reality

I went to a makeup artist with this request (the last picture) for my cousin’s wedding. I originally wanted graphic eyeliner, but the makeup artist said it’s no longer trendy. Anyway, this was the final result. The makeup actually lasted really well until the end of the event. I really like it, but I still feel like it’s very far from what I asked for.

What do you think? Do you trust makeup artists?

Most likely, this question relates more to cosmetology than surgery.

I am 26 years old, 160 cm and weighing 49–50 kg (which is the lower limit of normal for my height according to BMI). I have sagging under the chin. And this skin fold when I smile. Initially, I assumed it might be fat, because overall I also have cheeks and soft features, even if not very large, and I thought my face might just store fat that way. But today a cosmetologist told me that these are soft tissues (my skin), and there is very little fat there. That means chin liposuction is not an option.

I also considered jaw surgery, but orthodontists are saying that I do not need maxillofacial surgery; however, I do have dental issues (crowding of the lower teeth due to a narrow upper jaw). But braces are unlikely to lift the skin in the chin area.

As an alternative, the cosmetologist suggested a non-direct lipolytic injection, which supposedly gently breaks down fat and reduces swelling. Then she suggested filler and Botox in the chin area.

So overall, is there any point in doing lipolytic injections? Or will my desire for a sharp facial contour remain just a dream? Since fillers dissolve over time and may possibly migrate (though the doctor says this is unlikely in the chin area). Do they need to be repeated every two years? Or could I be a candidate for a chin implant? 🥲
