One of the easiest sets I've done, and the chrome powder is definitely working it's magic with the cat eye gel. These turned out so much better than I expected them to.

I still have one more to make, but I had to post these. I've done pop art nails a few times now but the chromebre and cat eye definitely put the POP in this set. I can't get all the colors to show up unfortunately. Do you like them better with or without the flash?

I saw this set on my IG the other day (@ampdnails2022) done by a nail artist named @nailartbyjen and thought they were so cool. I asked if she'd mind if I tried them out and she was thrilled and told me to show the results if I did. Hers are different colors and plain without the spiders. I added photos and videos of my set both with and without the spiders so she could see both ways. Unfortunately I didn't think to add her photos or video. So, I just wanted to get a general opinion on would you wear these?

Just a quick pop off set before I sleep for a bit. This one is just a simple look but the color shift is gorgeous and I tried to show some of it. The cat eye gel from GAOY (4630) is the star here. I just added some textured chrome abstract lines.

Wanted something bright, bold and uplifting. These made me think of the 90s for reasons I know not of, but here we are. 😆

Edit #1: I am realizing I need to start listing the products that I use in these. So, apologies for not having done so. I just never considered that maybe others would like to actually paint them too. So, I will try to remember to note products next time and if I forget, please don't hesitate to tell me. Cat eye gel from GAOY (#4202) with 2 high contrast chrome powders (#7 and #2) from Dynamic Nail Supply. I used the cat eye over the whole nail in a galaxy type of effect. The chrome powders I did an ombre with. I used chrome #7 in the very middle of each nail from cuticle to tip and chrome #2 on each side of the center area from cuticle to tip as well. If I miss anything just let me know, I'm trying. 🥲

Edit #2: Although it was deleted before I could respond, someone said something about the way I move my hand being unsettling. I am trying my best and have no problem accepting criticism or anything like that. I move my hand and fingers because I am trying to show different color shifts in different lighting and backgrounds. I have to move a little quickly because I have a phone literally strapped to my nub in order to film it. I am just trying to be a part of something that gives me some peace, so I apologize if it's "unsettling" but there are going to be situations that I won't be able to do anything about it. I try my best to show the nails and I am never satisfied in the end because I can't get the camera to show them fully. But I genuinely don't know what I'm doing that is unsettling. I add still shots in my clips so they're shown in motion and not. This is what I am capable of right now, so thank you for any tips and help to those who offer it, without making me feel like garbage.

I did this set using cat eye, a chrome-bre, aura and water droplet effects. Is it too much though? I think this would be considered maximalist, even though I didn't use any charms or gems. Am I wrong on what counts as maximalist nails?

I got a few sets finished recently and have been trying different looks. My social media pages are flooded with fruit nails, and I wanted to do something different. So these are my kiwi inspired nails.

I did these rainbow holographic cat eye frenchies and I think because I started second guessing everything, they just look weird to me in the finished look. I used Born Pretty Rainbow Glass Cat Eye gels in shades 1 and 5, and alternated each color on the tips. Then I did the same with the little dots, but made them the opposite color of what I used on the tips. I hesitated to post them on my socials, but ended up doing it anyway so I can show my work when its not the greatest, too. Turns out it ended up being the favorite of so many other artists. Why is it that every set I end up not being fond of ends up being the set everyone else likes? I just don't get it. 😆

I've been offline for a few weeks, but got busy the last few days, I'll have to try to post the past couple sets, but these were a first attempt at fish or fishing lure nails. I didn't plan on going the route I did, using so many different chrome powders on top of the cat eye. Especially considering how well the cat eye gel glows! But, my nub really has been putting up a fight with me, dropping things constantly and the worst chrome-tastrope of 2026 happened and I had to improvise. 😆 Anyway, what do we think about these?

Side Note: the cat eye gel is a set from RARJSM called Neon Glow Cat Eye, is a set of 6, but I added the colors I used for the overall color and ombre base color on one of the photos in this video. It sounds ridiculously dramatic, but I may or may not have actually cried when I dropped my chrome powders. While we don't cry over spilled milk, I feel it's reasonable when it's spilled chrome. 😭

It took longer than I expected to do these, but I am proud I finished them. I'm calling the set "Galactic Pickle" because it's all I keep thinking when I look at them. 😆 I also think it's nails that Donatello would approve of as well. What would you name these?

There have been so many not so great experiences for both shoppers and customers, especially lately. I am adding this just as a little reminder that as a customer, we are not all bad. I actually care about those who shop for me and actually have a little group that has been consistently shopping when I order. Yesterday I got a new shopper and it's been a while. I ordered a bunch of fruit, set my substitutions if they weren't already saved and that was that.

For the starting tip I had it set at 20% which at the time, I believe was somewhere between $12.50-$12.80, but I always put the order in set at 20% when it's a medium sized order like this. I didn't receive any messages and there was no communication between my shopper (her name was Kathy) and I. I got the typical texts when she checked out and the texts that come through until delivery. I always make it a point to thank my shopper even before I get everything out of the bags. Just to show a little appreciation just for doing the job. Depending whether or not anything happened during or at delivery time, the shopper gets the minimum tip I set when I ordered, but sometimes I will add extra. Fruits are always tricky but this lady was awesome.

This is just something to show not all customers are disrespectful, ungrateful or feel entitled. A simple matter of shopping my fruit to make sure it was decent at least, does not go unnoticed and it is very much appreciated. So to all shoppers, not all of us customers discount what you do when shopping for us and all customers need to understand that not all shoppers are lazy or incompetent. It might not seem like a big deal, but times are tough, especially now and the fact this woman brought the best fruit ever, I ended up increasing the tip to $18.00. I don't know what you all get paid, but it doesn't take a genius to think it isn't great. This woman responded with such a nice message and thanked me repeatedly. I don't know. The message is we are all human and could use just a smidge of kindness. We all just need to remember that.

Because this is Reddit, here's my receipt just so we don't start telling me to prove it or that I'm a liar. Thank you all shoppers who care about your customers! ❤️

I realize now that it isn't the best video because I forgot sounds and stuff, but hopefully this will help. I have to say I am an amputee, so when you see stuff falling over or the little duck face on my hand, thats how I can hold a brush or magnet. Please just be patient with me.

These are Apres Stilleto tips.

I used GAOY cat eye gel #2929 for the color of the nail and moved the particles around towards the center of the nail. Then cure for 60 seconds.

I used Beetles topcoat that I cured for 30 seconds before adding the chrome.

I used High Brightness chrome #5 from Dynamic Nail Supply.

I used a 8-in-1 gel from Double Rhythm on top of the chrome.

After curing that for a full minute, I then do my final topcoat (Beetles again) and cured for 1 minute. That's all there is to it!
