THIS POST DOES NOT HAVE ANY POLITICAL DISCUSSIONS OR DEBATES.
This is the only subreddit specially made for Maharashtrian teenagers. And with Maharashtra being the richest state in India, it's politics is also complicated.
Thus, we obviously need a place for teenagers of this state to discuss on political issues. It's crucial. If we have no place to talk about our opinions related to Maharashtra aside from MaharashtraTalks and r/Maharashtra, both of which have adults, how will the youth discuss it's interests with each other?
I am proposing a megathread for any discussions related to politics.
It's crucial we speak on issues related to our state and the youth viewpoint on them.
We will NOT discuss politics in the general subreddit. Only the megathread.

EDIT: THANK YOU! THE JUDGES GOT IMPRESSED WITH US HAVING SOME MARKET RESEARCH. THANKS GUYS!
Let's make this a 'megathread' for discussion?
I understand they are bad people, and that they shouldn't even be allowed on Reddit.
But this subreddit is now just ending up becoming perv catching, which makes it boring and also negative.
I mean how is the atmosphere of other people, how are facilities like schools, do you notice abnormal things like military vehicles constantly, have you seen strikes?
What is different in a nation which faces strikes and is occupied during a war?
Thinking to join after 10th grade CBSE Boards.
I want to know, is the school good? Amenities? How many chammaks are there? Is it worth the fees? Are there fights? Is learning enjoyable? Do you get opportunities to join events and stuff?
All of that, please help me out.
Yesterday, I saw a post. A guy talked about how he was heading towards Mumbai, and a Marathi woman had started a conversation in Hindi. The guy stated that if he had not replied to the Marathi woman in Marathi, they both would've most likely just spoke Hindi their entire conversation.
I have been thinking for quite a while. I have come to the realization that Marathi people are way more common than we think. We just don't seem to realize the people around us are Marathi because everyone is accustomed to starting the conversation in Hindi in expectation that the opposite person only understands Hindi.
If all Marathi people kept starting conversations with others in Hindi, and got Hindi replies, eventually, no Marathi will be spoken.
So, rather than slapping people or meaninglessly protesting, I have a simple solution to make the use of Marathi more widespread.
From now on, we all start speaking to any person in Maharashtra with Marathi. If the person understands Marathi, your conversation will guaranteed be in Marathi. If he replies in Hindi, only then you should switch to Hindi for convenience or continue speaking in Marathi for pride (your choice).
From this solution, not only will Hindi speakers start having Marathi rubbed on their ears, which will encourage them to learn, Marathi people will also be able to communicate in Marathi more frequently.
This is so simple, and could be very big. It is basic effort.
I am typing in English because it is easier to type on laptop than Marathi. (Marathi Text Was Typed in Google Translate)

In Pune, many Marathi people are sad that Marathi is being less spoken. I have a solution.

I am a Marathi Jain. I proudly speak Marathi and love Maharashtra (and India obviously) till my death.
But, it really honestly hurts me. So many people just hate on Jains all day. We have contributed many people to Maharashtra aswell.
really makes me question if I really contribute everything to a united Maharashtra, will all of my pro-Maharashtrian friends eventually kick me out?
Stop the hate on atleast my religion. Hate the people, not the religion. Even my family disagrees and hates on some Jain babas in Mumbai.
I see many comments and users on here who are MNS supporters. (Asking on r/Maharashtra rather than r/Nashik because here is maximum amount of MNS supporters excluding r/MaharashtraTalks)
But, I want to ask ACTUAL Nashikkars who have been living in Nashik when MNS actually ruled, did they actually develop infrastructure and make Nashik better?
I am asking this because from what I heard, Nashik was going to get free WiFi but MNS decided not to spend 40 lakh on infrastructure thus blocking the opportunity. I am wondering if that is just one example given to make MNS look bad.
TL;DR, If you have been living in Nashik when the MNS era was there, did they actually do anything to improve your life?
I am asking this because I am a part of the Marathi younger generation and am thinking to get into Maharashtrian politics.
