Tips for taking meeting minutes when people speak too quickly?

I find it hard to keep pace when someone is speaking fast, especially in situations where asking them to repeat isn't really an option. Would love to hear how others manage to catch the key points when the speaker is going through things at speed.

Avata360 bridge practice, still figuring out altitude

Had about an hour free Sunday, so I took the Avata360 out to a reservoir I'd pinned in Maps. Normal mode, no ND, 4K/30, mostly just trying not to dunk it. I only got this thing like two weeks ago so flying near a bridge still had me sweating lol. I did a few slow passes along the suspension bridge, around 20 ft above the water. Wind app showed 14 mph gusts, so I nearly bailed. The footage came out cleaner than i expected for not touching any settings at all. Wondering if i should go lower on the next run or if 20 ft is already pushing it near water.

Apple spent billions on Vision Pro and still couldn't figure out that what we want

Honestly just a rant but I need to get this off my chest.

Apple spent years and billions building the Vision Pro. A giant headset you strap to your face. Who is actually going out wearing that thing. It looks like something you put on before surgery. And shocker, nobody bought it.

Meanwhile my phone already has a great chip, a great battery, great connectivity. Just let it do the heavy lifting. Build something small that pairs with it and handles the interface part. That is literally all I am asking for.

The glasses form factor is so obvious. Small frame, connects to your phone, phone does the processing. Why did Apple go straight to helmet ?!!

I genuinely do not understand the logic here. Is it a margin thing? An ego thing? Because from a user perspective it makes zero sense.

Workflow for 3D motion animation?

Wanted to start a channel in a similar style to something like Kurzgesagt, educational videos with stylized 3D animation.

Right now I'm using ChatGPT Pro for script writing (heard Claude is good as well but never used it, any feedback?). Eleven Labs for voice generation. Using Tripo AI to quickly generate 3D assets.

The only missing part is creating the animations. A lot of tools I've been seeing are great at creating hyper-realistic or cinematic 3D, but that's not what I'm going for. I want something more stylized and clean.

Also are there any tools that would suggest or generate visuals that match up to the script itself? Seedance 2.0 maybe?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have advice on selling to Indian or Middle Eastern clients?

I know no culture is a monolith, but wow. Something like 90% of my interactions with Middle Eastern or Indian prospects come down to one thing: price. Doesn't matter what I say about value, features, ROI, whatever. They want the lowest number possible, full stop.

My usual tactics just don't land. I can walk someone through exactly why my product is better than the competition and they'll still try to grind me down to cost. It feels like the only way to actually close is if I'm already a friend or family connection, or I'm basically giving something away.

Is this a me problem? A pitch problem? Or has anyone else run into this and figured out a workaround that actually works?

Odd Symptom: Can't Look at Phone/Computer

My brother has been dealing with long hauler symptoms for about 3 months now. A lot of his symptoms have improved significantly, but there's still one strange one that won't go away. He has trouble looking at screens, whether it's his phone, TV, or computer. He'll try to push through to finish reading an email or look up a number, but he ends up having to look away. If he keeps forcing it, his eyes burn afterwards. He's totally fine reading books, being outside, and writing on paper. It's only electronic screens that cause the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing something like this? Any idea what might be going on?

Thanks!

Tired of holding my phone while running. What gear do you recommend?

I like to change my music mid-run, so I need something that lets me access my phone easily. Armbands seem like the most popular option but I'm open to anything. I find belts too clunky and hard to reach into quickly. Any suggestions?

Comparing vibe coding to 3D printing is a great metaphor.

3D printing early on had nightmarish configuration issues in a way which isn't reflected in vibe coding.

Vibe coding today is already like 3D printing is today, kinda user friendly and good enough to produce a range of stuff, especially on the lower end of things.

There's hobbyist 3d printing, but there's ALSO at-scale, high-end 3d printing (especially in aerospace yeah?). Vibecoding will go the same way. What's even more interesting is that they will actually converge. Vibe coding is already helping us automate modeling and convert images to 3D, like tripo αi. Soon everyone will be able to easily create their own models and send them straight to a 3D printer.

Pretty fascinating when you think about it.

Blender is purpose built for 3D modelling so surely you'd have easier and more detailed capabilities, but I think it doesn't matter. It depends on your workflow and convenience. Use a modular design pattern so you can model modular assets in Blender and assemble them in Godot. It's a common workflow among all the engines.

One thing I'm a huge fan of though is that you can import Blender files directly into Godot with a corresponding setting enabled, and they even get automatically updated in Godot once you update the blend file. This completely eliminates the annoying import/export process and honestly it's one of the things I love most about Godot.
