Value village Erinmills

The value village at Erinmills has HANDS DOWN the most OUTRAGEOUS pricing of any thrift store I have ever been to. I am consistently appalled by their pricing. I have been back 4 separate times just to see if anything has changed but no, they price like new. So weird. Never had this issue with any other VV.

Hired a trainer and a dietician

30/f / 225 lbs / 5’6

Hi everyone, I am a postpartum, first time mom on my weight loss journey. I would like to get pregnant again pretty soon and after a tough journey with gestational diabetes (I know this is not a result of weight or what you eat, but being overweight is a risk factor), I am ready to make major changes in my life. I have also been recently diagnosed with a fatty liver, which my mom also has and has now resulted in liver cirrhosis and esophageal varices. After her last bout in the hospital, I want to be as far from the possibility of developing cirrhosis as possible. With that said, I love my snacks and junk food 😭 and I am a couch potato. I am trying to tackle this weight loss from every angle, even to the point of hiring people such as a trainer and dietician to 1) guide me and 2) hold me accountable. I am also writing this down here to remind myself how I am feeling now and to be able to look back at this post whenever I want to disrupt my progress and go back to square one. My journey officially starts Saturday when I meet with my trainer for the first time. Wish me luck 🙏🏽❤️

Also I would love to hear any tips and tricks that you can share that helped you stay on track/motivate you, etc.

Post partum personal trainer

Hi! I am looking for a postpartum personal trainer. I think I would be most comfortable with a woman, perhaps a mother (I am super self-conscious) but I would be open to anyone if they have great ratings. TIA.

Sugar free or low sugar slushy

I am dying for a slushy but I am diabetic. Is there anywhere in Mississauga where I can get my hands on a sugar-free or low sugar slushy?

Newest gen battery doorbell performance

Does anyone have feedback on the battery life of the newest gen ring doorbell? Debating on sending it straight back considering I have to dismount it to charge it unless the charge lasts a while.

New to Ring/security cams in general, any help would be appreciated!

Does this look like a possible spasm?

This happened 4 times in a row. It has happened before as well, in clusters like this. I can’t tell if he just hates this chair / his food, although he did eat a little bit more, willingly, after the video was taken, then he stopped. Thoughts?

Garbage/Recycling Collection

We have lived in condos all of our life, and typically garbage or recycling disposal was easy enough. You go out to the shoot you choose the appropriate route and you drop your garbage. We have since moved to a townhouse and are a little bit lost when it comes to garbage and recycling disposal.

Before you come for me, yes we have tried to review the schedules. We know about circular materials versus peel region, picking up garbage and recycling, etc. We also are aware of bag tags and that they need to be purchased for any garbage outside of your bin. At least that is my understanding.

At the same time, we see people in our neighborhood throwing excess garbage without any tags. Also disposing of furniture on the curb.

What are the rules or the norms around disposing of extra garbage / recycling / old furniture? Is it dependent on the area?
