Bitch…I'm a bus.

E-biker was using a pedestrian crossing when the light was red for pedestrians and the buses had a green light. He was also breaking the law by riding on the pavement (sidewalk) just before the pedestrian crossing, he was not coming straight onto the crossing from a side road, the nearest one would have meant he came out onto this road behind the cammer's vehicle. Riding bikes of any kind on the pavement is illegal here in the UK, even for children, so if (as likely) this is an illegal e-bike then this guy was breaking multiple laws when he sent himself into the road against the lights.

However, the driver of the 149 bus that hit him was also making an illegal manoeuvre by overtaking the 243 bus within the zone of those zig zag lines, so would be at fault here and could be prosecuted - particularly as there is a hierarchy of road users with the most vulnerable being at the top: cyclists are #2 and buses are #7, the lowest, and that's true even if the e-bike itself was an illegal one.

The cammer is not to blame at all and their insurance should hopefully be able to recover any damage to their vehicle's bonnet from the cyclist landing on it from the bus company's insurance.

A 10% league win rate without Paco, it's past time, wake up

2 wins in 19 league games. Unacceptable.

The man cannot manage, at least not on his own: get him gone. Almost a year in, and when he hasn't had Paco with him he's managed 2 wins, 7 draws, 10 losses in league football. 17 Premier League games, 2 Championship.

Total would be 5-7-10 but 3 of those 5 wins were cup games against opponents low in the Championship.

Yes, it's actually 10.5%, but the only rounding up I'd be interested in is the fools and frauds running this football club into the ground / League One.

Tyre pressure question

As a new 996 owner, I've taken on looking after – and enjoying! – a lovely car. One thing that's been nagging me slightly is the tyre pressure, as the previous owner has fitted non-standard rear tyres, 285/30 rather than 265/35 (R18 SL). Does anyone here have any experience with this?

The car is a Targa, so 996.2 C2, and the book says the OEM summer spec should be 44 PSI on the 265/30's. The calculators on both TireSize.com and Tyre Reviews agree that the fitted size should therefore be run at 36 PSI.

What do you think? Will the contact patch have the same area? I don't know of any alternative to that load-matching approach, if there any other resources you know that I could look into, please share. Thanks in advance.

This weekend in 2024: Moses Itauma vs Mariusz Wach

Having just watched Mariusz Wach's most recent fight against Tyson Fury on Friday and thought he was washed, I went back to rewatch this fight from 2 years ago in which I remembered he was totally outclassed, to see if I was right that he looked to have declined significantly over those two years – I think I was, though obviously it isn't surprising, as he'll be 47 later this year.

If you haven't seen the results of the Wach fight, I've spoiler tagged the below.

>!Rewatching in today's context also reinforces how good Itauma is (he was 19, 25 years younger than Wach) compared with the current version of Fury (9 years younger than Wach). For me, this week showed not just how far Wach has declined in the last 2 years but how much Fury has too from when he fought Usyk that summer.!<

>!Itauma in 2024 had no fear against a better Wach than this year's version, though maybe some of that was youth and he should've had some, while Fury in 2026 certainly had a lot of caution and respect for Wach, and I'd say there was fear there too. Compare their movement and punches and it's clear they're not even in the same league as Itauma was even then.!<

>!I don't think Fury was confident about if he could beat Wach or not, whereas Itauma clearly knew he could do so easily. That isn't to say Itauma is unbeatable, or doesn't have flaws, just that Wach is pretty much done in and that Fury didn't look good against him while Itauma very much did.!<

Lou Macari made an MBE for helping homeless in Stoke-on-Trent

More details about his charity that he's run for the last decade after retiring.

Didn't have time really to make his mark as our manager, and the fans didn't much like him (do we ever?) but worth noting that he's out there doing some good in Stoke (where he was manager twice).

Notes from Wikipedia for the younger ones: > [our] first manager […] never to have worked for the club in a previous capacity. Macari was given the job on 3 July 1989. He had a reputation for discipline and tried to change the training and dietary habits of the players. This met with some disapproval within the playing ranks. Macari bought in new recruits in future regular players, Luděk Mikloško, Trevor Morley, Martin Allen, and Ian Bishop. His team struggled to make much headway towards promotion and by the end of 1989 were in tenth place in The Second Division. They were also knocked out of the FA Cup by Torquay United on 6 January 1990 in the Third Round. Shortly after this it emerged that Macari was being investigated for betting irregularities whilst at his former club, Swindon Town. Macari left West Ham on 18 February 1990, shortly before a league match against his former club Swindon. His last game in charge was an infamous 0–6 thrashing away at Oldham Athletic in the first leg of the League Cup semi final. > > In 1989, Macari was fined £1,000 by the Football Association after he bet on Swindon to lose an FA Cup tie against Newcastle United. In 1992, he was tried and acquitted for tax fraud which took place while he was Swindon's manager; the club's then chairman was found guilty.

West Ham managers compared win and loss percentage

End of the season update on previous posts: Nuno's had 37 games, this is the state of rankings on win and loss percentages – and what he's given us is slightly better than Lopetegui and slightly worse than Avram Grant.

The second chart excludes all those managers who've managed us in the 2nd tier and shows how rare it is to win more than we lose if we're playing in the 1st tier.

Obviously also look at the state of Potter.
