JourneyD2R Desktop App Beta Test / Community Input

Hello friends! I am planning to release a Desktop App (JourneyD2R) that I created for my own benefit that allows for Offline D2R Desktop players to effectively view and track their entire account from a single interface.

Call to Action: At this stage, I am looking for people to test the App and provide bug/feature feedback. I've only been able to test the app against my own game files so I'm sure there are weird items and corner cases that may cause problems. I'm also completely open to adding additional features / tweaking existing features based on how people think they might use the App.

What it does:

Reads your Offline D2R files (currently designed for RotW players, Classic players may find database differences). Outputs all of your Account information, overall and by character, including Inventory, Stash, Equipment, Chronicle Data; sorts your Uniques, Sets, and Runewords by importance for easy review; Has a Global Account Search function for fast item checks/comparisons; and has automated and manual entry tracking for Runs, a Wishlist, and your Account Progress (Integrates with MF Run Counter if you use it).

Trust, Safety, and Privacy: This App does not connect to the internet and does not track, store, or otherwise obtain any personal data. It cannot write to your game files and only reads the game files you select for ingestion. All App files are public on Github, and users are able to download via Google Drive (It might flag the .EXE). As for me personally, please feel free to check my Reddit history and note that I have high-ranking trust flair in several buy/sell/trade subreddits. I have also published a mobile app for the Horus Heresy miniatures game on Apple App Store (Heresy Challenges) and shared it on the relevant Subreddits.

AI Notice: All PNG Assets were purchased from real human artists and then edited in Affinity by me personally, with no AI involvement. AI (Claude Code) was used in the making of the App itself.

Help me settle a decision in Offline

Heya folks,

I'm a couple months into my first serious Offline journey. I like playing a lot of the meta builds and so the game is relatively spelled out for me.

That said, I have had one (since the 2000's) non-Meta goal in mind: a Spearzon that can clear Ubers and other end-game content.

I've been pretty lucky with drops for her, getting several good temporary Spears, Tgods, Lightning Facet, Lightning Sunder, Highlords Wrath. I still have some more gearing to do, namely a Griffons. I'll be crafting a CoH for her soon.

Here's the issue: I've gotten the Ber's needed for my Infinity. But I'm not happy with my base. Right now the best thing I have is +3 Skills Maiden Spear (4os of course). I've been grinding for a Ceremonial or Matriarchal upgrade. I keep getting like +2 Skills or not the right Sockets, etc. I'm closing in on 4,500 LK runs which is where I find the Spears most often.

I know that the Phys damage is not a primary consideration for Lighting Spearzon damage - as most of the damage is Lightning Elemental. That said, I've heard Impale can be useful for Ubers and other difficult bosses, that I want to kill. I believe that is based on your Weapon Damage.

So: should I hold onto my Bers and farm indefinitely until I find a better Base, or should I just slam them in the Maiden Spear and call it a day? And if I did that, would I consider weapon-swapping to the Impaler for using Impale? It won't have much better damage but it's got the +5 to Impale.

Any and all thoughts and considerations are welcome. Thank you!

EDIT: Thanks for the IAS explanation with Mancatcher. My Infinity rolled 293%ED -50LR - smack in the middle. I'll take it!

Auto Trans / Limp Mode 2010 NC Issue

Hey friends. I drive a 2010 NC Automatic with 69,000 miles.

The other day I was driving and the transmission lurched, I got a CEL and AT light on, car went into a limp mode, only does Drive not Manual mode, lurches into gear, low on power. Took it to the shop and they told me that my trans fluid was overdue and I needed a new filter. I was only slightly over the mileage for the service but time took its toll on the 16 year old car.

They called me today for pickup. I got in, and the car still had lights and was in limp mode. After an hour of farting around, the shop told me the computer needs to be re-flashed by a Mazda dealer, they dont' see any error codes.

Is there anything for me to know or try before I drag my car to a Dealership that is over 30 minutes away (closest one)? The shop is telling me I can drive it there, because the car seems to be choosing 4th as it's "one gear to use". If you give it time off the line it will take the gear and it will drive, just....in that one gear. This seems unsafe and unwise, but they said that's what I should do. If I don't need to pay to tow it then I won't.

But yeah, any advice before spending even more money would be awesome. Thanks!
