Iranians in the comments: Proudly praising their country. Indians in the comments: Competing to tear theirs down.

Same video format, different reactions. People are appreciating their country and talking about visiting it. On the other hand, top comments are about corruption, brainwashing, and mocking the country. Criticism has its place, but the contrast in mindset is hard to ignore. Constructive criticism builds nations; constant self-loathing doesn't.

Do political interests in sugar mills play a role in the broad support for ethanol blending?

I've noticed that many sugar mills have direct or indirect political connections. Given that ethanol blending benefits the sugar industry, could this be one reason why there is relatively little political opposition to the policy? Interested in hearing different perspectives and any data that supports or contradicts this view

But when we Kannadigas politely ask people to use or respect Kannada in Karnataka, it suddenly becomes a problem? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Funny how a "Japanese language only" sign in Japan is often defended as preserving local culture and avoiding communication issues. But when Kannadigas politely ask people to learn or use some Kannada in Karnataka, it's suddenly called regionalism or intolerance. Respecting the local language shouldn't be controversial. A little effort goes a long way.

Update 2- BBMP/BWSSB fixed the pavement but left behind debris that’s now turning into a dumping yard 📍 Chikkalsandra

Around a month ago, I had posted here about the terrible road/pavement patchwork done after BWSSB/BBMP work in my area. To their credit, the pavement has now finally been fixed.

But the problem is only half solved. The construction debris and mud were never cleared properly, and now people have started dumping even more garbage there. What was already bad has now turned into a garbage point that’s slowly eating up almost half the road.

Vehicles now have less space to pass, pedestrians are forced to walk around the mess, and during rains it’s only going to get worse.

I’ve raised multiple complaints on the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Sahaya app/helpline, but for the past several days there’s been no response or action at all. Complaints either remain unattended or get ignored.

It’s frustrating because they did the visible part of the work, but left the area in a condition that’s becoming another civic issue altogether.

Has anyone else faced this? Any other way to escalate this properly besides Sahaya? Please i need help🙏🏻
