Is the original charger really the best option for your device or is that just an assumption we never questioned

Anker's Ask Me Anker Thing series had a question about the biggest charging myth that even tech-savvy people believe. The engineer's answer was that most people assume the charger that comes in the box is automatically the best one for their device. He argued that original chargers represent a baseline of acceptable performance but not necessarily the optimal charging experience.

His reasoning was that most people don't just own one device. If a third-party charger can identify what you've plugged in, deliver the right power profile for each device simultaneously, and even adjust behavior overnight to protect battery health, then it might actually be better suited to how you actually use your stuff in real life.

I'm not fully sold but it's an interesting reframing. What do you guys think? Is the stock charger still the gold standard or has the market moved past it?

Choosing between fully hidden IIC devices and over-the-ear models: What is the real trade-off?

To be completely transparent, as a 35-year-old, I am having a hard time dealing with the cosmetic side of needing hearing assistance. I am heavily leaning towards completely hidden, Invisible-In-Canal (IIC) options that sit deep enough to go completely unnoticed. Starkey and Eargo are always heavily advertising these ultra-compact designs.

That said, I have read that shrinking the hardware means sacrificing crucial capabilities like Bluetooth connectivity, battery capacity, and dual directional microphones. Has anyone here prioritized aesthetics over technology, and if so, was it a mistake? Are there any manufacturers that successfully squeeze high-end processing into an invisible format? I care about appearances, but I also need crystal-clear audio during professional meetings. What is the smartest compromise here?

The 2026 Spectrometer Check

Anyone actually tested the Red Light Therapy irradiance on these new travel minis? They claim 150mW/cm² but it’s running off a basic USB-C. Smells like marketing inflation. Who has a real spectrometer reading?

why does everyone ignore customer support until it's too late?

ppl usually focuses on the lowest fees or more trading pairs when picking an exchange, but i realized the most underrated feature is customer support. When the market goes into a frenzy and your withdrawal gets hung up, you don't want to be stuck waiting for a bot to reply for next day while your capital is at risk.

I searched around here for platforms with the best support and found exchanges like kraken, bydfi, and bitget have fast support and solid reputation about their agents.

Curious what other features you prioritize when choosing exchanges?

Need styling advice: How to arrange pillows on this white sofa?

This is what I am trying to style with my new white sofa and los of different goodies in the form of gold wall art behind. At the moment, I was using these gold pattern pillows. This layout is fine or should I put a dark contrast color (such as from the black kitchen cabinet) to divide with white and gold? I want to keep the area looking nice and clean. We are open to any kind of suggestions and serious about it. Thanks in advance, everyone!
