I found a couple posts about this on Steam but nobody found a solution. The best thing in-game is to turn down the sound effects but then everything else is difficult to hear. It's a serious issue that greatly decreases my enjoyment of the game, and I'd love if someone could remove it or make it quiet.
I don't know how common these are. The ticket one is really stuck inside that seal so I will leave it alone. I bought this in a lot and I don't know where this stuff is from.

Movie is The Big Chill (criterion version). Who the hell is this guy? Is this just some guy who owned laserdiscs? Like, I understand "from the collection of David Lynch" or something but I have no idea who this guy is. On Wikipedia, a guy named Robert Allen (A) Fowkes is listed as a linguist, nothing to do with movies. Maybe it's him?

My player is a CLD-M301, which I know isn't a high-end player but I got it on a good deal. It works just fine and I've been using it for a month or so, but I've started to notice that there are blue dots that appear all around the screen on titles that shouldn't have that.
I've watched Japanese releases of movies popular like Batman and Star Wars that don't have any reports of rot that still show the blue dots around the screen from time to time. It's happened on enough discs to where it has me worried that it's the player and not the discs. My video connection is fine so it isn't that. I'm hoping I just have to clean the lens but I don't know if there's anything else I should look out for. Thanks.
In the Japanese version of Air Zonk (PC Denjin), the title screen and game over screen have lyrics written at the bottom of the screen. I looked for a translation online and got nothing. Has anyone transcribed and translated these?
So, I'm in a weird position. I want to watch content that is in Dolby Surround. To get this, I'm supposed to set my receiver to the Pro Logic setting. But, for some reason, my receiver (Sony STR-DH550 does not have a Pro Logic setting. It has a Pro Logic 2 setting, but that processes the audio differently. This content is supposed to be played on a receiver with a Pro Logic setting.
I'm not sure what to do here... am I just shit out of luck? This really frustrates me, especially considering it would obviously be completely possible for it to have this setting on a technical level.
I recently watched Manhunter on laserdisc and was disappointed by the transfer. It was the 1992 US release. It's a very specific looking movie and I think a lot of the look was kind of lost, plus I got a lot of speckling that was pretty distracting.
On the laserdisc database there is an earlier Japanese release that's known to have a bad transfer, but there's also this later one that is CAV encoded on the last side. I'm curious what the transfer looks like on this one, compared to the other releases.

This is NOT the PC port, it is the game on N64 with optimized code. This video was made 4 years ago. Have any improvements been made in regards to this, and what is the newest version of this patch that I can find? Thanks.
I have a friend who's CRT has certain distortions on the left side which weren't there when he got it initially. I said that it could be caused by the magnets in his VCR which is right next to his TV. Could that be the issue? A degassing wand hasn't fixed our problems
