Should I do a solo trip to Maldives or Seychelles in August?

So confused, but these are the two options I’ve concluded with. I’m adventures, would love activities and meet new people.

I have 5lacs INR

Hi everyone,
I’m a complete beginner when it comes to investing, so apologies if this is a basic question.
I currently have ₹5 lakhs sitting in my savings account. My goal is long-term wealth creation, and I’m willing to stay invested for 7-10 years. I don’t need this money immediately.
I recently came across the idea of using an SWP (Systematic Withdrawal Plan) to gradually move money into an SIP (Systematic Investment Plan).

My questions are:
If my ₹5 lakhs is in a bank account, what’s the best way to invest it?

If you were starting from scratch with ₹5 lakhs today, what would your step-by-step plan be?
Are there any beginner mistakes I should avoid?
I’m looking for a strategy that gives my money the best chance to compound and grow significantly over the next 5-10 years.

Or should I just buy some stocks and wait?

Relocation Advice to DXB

My parents are 54 and 59, both certified and highly experienced music teachers. Back home, they run a music school and have trained 2000+ students over the years. We’re affiliated with Trinity College London, ABRSM and teach instruments such as piano, keyboard, drums, and more, helping students earn professional certifications.

They’re both in good health, energetic, and still very passionate about teaching.
My sibling is also deeply involved in music. He studied music production at AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory, works as a music producer and DJ, and is also an accomplished boxer with a strong social presence in Bangalore.

As for me, I started my career with MNCs, eventually moved to Dubai, and am currently building my life and career here as a young professional. ( nothing related to music, but I’ve done a few piano grades)

My parents visited Dubai last year for about 15–20 days and genuinely enjoyed their time here. Ever since then, I’ve been wondering whether there could be an opportunity for them to build a new chapter of their lives here.

I believe their skills and experience could be valuable in Dubai’s market, especially for children and adults who want to learn music in a structured, systematic way from experienced educators. At the same time, I can’t ignore the personal side of this, I feel quite lonely here. I’m extremely close to my mother, and I find myself flying home every couple of months regardless of ticket prices because I miss my family so much.

My parents love me deeply and would probably make this move if I asked. That’s exactly why I’m being careful about it. I don’t want the decision to be driven only by my emotions.
For those who have experience in Dubai, relocating parents, or building education/music businesses here:
Am I looking at this too emotionally?
Is there a realistic market for experienced music educators of their profile?

What visa/business setup options should I be exploring?
I’d really appreciate honest perspectives, especially from people who have gone through something similar.
Thank you.

UAE, I need your support to grow my small business.

Starting small, please support via DM and I’ll have it delivered to you in DXB.

This is the community I rely on the most, and I truly appreciate the support. I haven’t done any marketing yet, but I’m confident the product can grow through word of mouth and genuine recommendations.

I can provide 1–2 sample pieces and my prices are very reasonable. The team I regularly play with has already given me excellent feedback, which has been very encouraging.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like to try it or learn more.

Your Support Means a Lot

Back to trading after a break, I’ve been noticing lately that equiti charges almost 50% on profits? Is this normal?
