Hello again, JacobVersus here. I have some exciting news about my upcoming release Roster Studio: you will now be able to load .psd's onto the respective bodies in Roster Studio. Additionally, the edits you make in Photoshop will update live in Roster Studio upon every File>Save in Photoshop.

This is going to be a massive utility for casual players that want to see what carset they downloaded easily, to the visual creative that wants to control lighting, shadows, reflections, focal lengths, aperture and depth of field & more, and to painters working on .psd files building cars or full sets.

This is an update for the camera nerds. Roster Viewer will have full studio lighting and camera control. You can change focal length, exposure modes, change aperture, turn on/off depth of field. Studio lighting includes deep shadow control, one key light and one fill light. Lots of highlight an reflection control.

This covers quite a large group of car files for many mods. If you have a suggestion, let me know! This is 100% for the community. Its a tool for everyone to use. It will always and forever remain free. Anyone will be able to share it. I will continue maintaining all of my releases. In the release the readme will have detailed info of what sites i used, who i reached out to, ill list all creators, all credit goes to original creators. If any creator wants their car viewer x files removed, then i am happy to remove them immediately. This app does not include any mods, car files, paint kits, scenes, or anything else. It ONLY shares the CarViewer X files that are publicly available online.

Hey everyone, I am working on a new program, it requires getting permission to use/redistribute Car Viewer X files from certain creators. Im not redistributing any mods or anything else. just Car Viewer files.

It will be a new part of my existing NR Season Generator app. Im new to NR2003 as of this year, i dont have 20 years of community knowledge unfortunately. I have done a ton of research already, and now feel like im at a dead end.

I dont know who is still around or contactable. The List of creators i need to get ahold of are as follows:

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to download NRSG. I know it wasn't perfect out of the box but we are ironing out the bugs, I appreciate it! We have hit almost 100 downloads between the first two versions. I figured since this was a fairly important update, I would make a new post.

Changes to V1.1.8

- Track classification now uses the track.ini track_type value as the primary source instead of relying on track names. This was probably the biggest issue to address. It was causing issues with incorrectly designating track types.

- Along with the previous fix I also improved historical track matching with support for venue name changes (such as Lowes/Charlotte, Sears Point/Infineon/Sonoma, Phoenix/ISM Raceway, and California/Auto Club Speedway etc.)

- More track name matching improvements. Historical Seasons now use more flexible name matching, so tracks are correctly organized even if the folder name doesnt exactly match the expected format.

- Searchable track folder dropdowns now support typing and autocomplete. No more scrolling for replacements.

- Historical replacement tracks now highlight only the track folder cell instead of the entire row.

- Added the ability to deselect the current row by clicking anywhere that is not an interactive control.

Welcome to the NR Season Generator! Your one stop for all season creation needs. Easily create seasons based on historical templates. 1998 Trucks? Easy! Just select the series and year you want to load and generate your season! If you dont have the correct track for the season, that will be highlighted in red automatically indicating its missing from your tracks folder, you can have the app autofill a best match track from your library, or you can download the track yourself and replace it.

Want to make a custom season? No problem! You can emulate a Nascar season or do something completely custom. All tools built in lets you modify everything you need to build your season.

When youre finished creating your season, click "...Boogity, lets go racing!" and it will generate a season.ini file for you. You can drop this file in the \series of your choice and off to the races you go.

I originally made this for myself, but I knew if I needed it, someone else did too. I am a graphic designer, not a software developer, this is my first project --Go easy on me! I have only been able to test it on my windows 10 machine but it should work on 7-11 if it doesnt, please let me know! If there are any other issues you run into please share them with me.

EDIT 4: a user pointed out that track type designation is incorrect for certain tracks. This issue will be fixed in update V1.1.1 later tonight. It was designating based on track folder name, not track type designation in the track.ini. Fix will reference the track.ini and designate it accordingly. I’m also fixing a couple other small things, when swapping a track, you will now be able to search the track without having to scroll through a small window. Also track name matching will be a little more relaxed and match tracks by name better.

EDIT 3: found an issue where the exported season.ini is making my personal game crash when loading the championship. I presume it’s because one of my tracks i selected has an issue. Hoping this is separate of the Season Generator. Still researching my files. UPDATE: this was an issue with my tracks in my \tracks folder, not a generator issue. It should be noted however, you must use *known good/working* tracks for your season or the season.ini can cause issues such as game crashing when loading the season save and tracks not being able to load.

EDIT 2: Added Realistic Random: Creates a new season that follows the track type flow of a real nascar schedule using your installed tracks. Repeat Venues: Only venues you select can repeat. Repeat visits are spaced throughout the season. Relaxed the track type requirements: Track type counts are now minimums instead of exact totals, allowing the generator to build more reliable schedules. If exact numbers arent met, the app will fill in the remaining missing values. Update is linked above.

EDIT 1: Update is on the way to fix a bug that would prevent season creation if all parameters aren't met perfectly. Also ill be adding a way to do a random schedule using real life track types. There is also an issue i have discovered with duplicate tracks not following certain parameters, updating this as well.

This tool will allow you to easily create season ini files. You can use a real life season from any Cup, BGN/Xfinity, or Truck series and it will build the schedule using your tracks.

It looks through your tracks folder and will go through each ini file to pick the best matched track for that year/season. If it doesnt have a track it will tell you, if there are better options it will tell you. You can also swap the individual track folder live. For example, i like bristol_2003 better than the 2001 variant, so a dropdown opens up and you can select the correct bristol.

It will also let you add individual tracks if you want to build your own custom season. There are different modifers you can adjust for the final file.

Im still testing it, this is the first program or app ive ever made, but so far its working great. Just polishing it up before i release it here.

been working on my period correct Pentium 4 Windows XP machine this week and got NR2003 and my Logitech Driving Force setup. It’s not my Moza R3, but it’s still fuckin sick. also have colin mcrae rally 2.0 and Sports Car GT. NR2003 is amazing for its time lol

didn’t get many photos at the race, but i did snap a photo of Corey’s car on pit road before the race began. A little rough venue for the fans but i still had an awesome time. Turn 2 was a blast to watch.

i always wanted to make my own shift knob, a couple months ago i started playing around with designing one. I wanted it to have a factory feel, with some styling that matched existing materials in the car. In this case i wanted the reverse lockout and shifter to look more like a more cohesive unit. It’s a multi piece design that allows me to swap the center flanges for different material to add or reduce weight of the knob. it weighs in about 500g and feels amazing while driving. the ridges from the flange in the round knob make for a great grab feel. just thought i would share.

i’m not an engineer, im a graphic designer in the golf industry lmao. i designed this in adobe illustrator lol. just a personal project that i was really happy with the outcome.

Question - Truck failed smog in California. Extremely high NOx. Traced it to most likely the EGR being clogged or stuck closed. With engine at idle and a vacuum pump hooked up to the EGR, when vacuum is added nothing happens. Expected behavior is disturbance to idle or even stall, however my engine didn’t react and my pump held vacuum. My plan is to clean the EGR valve. I tested the vacuum modulator and that is working normally, the VSV is also brand new toyota. All the oem emissions equipment for california is there and routed correctly. It passed smog before it sat for a year and a half. All the other emissions numbers are very low and clean. Is there anything else i should be looking for?

Got my truck back on the road after sitting for a year and a half because i couldn’t afford the repairs. I got the front axle completely rebuilt with all toyota seals gaskets and bearings. new rotors and pads up front as well. since i’ve had the truck, i completely rebuilt the motor from the bottom up with all 100% toyota parts new or from donor trucks. i’ve also refurbished the whole brake system as well with new lines, master cylinder, and like i said pads and rotors up front. truck is solid now. But i failed with high NOx. I think i’ve traced the issue to the EGR valve as stated above. Anything else to check?

other than that, the truck is running great. Registration is paid. I just need to figure out the smog situation.
