Does anybody know why new Audi Q2/ SQ2 are still using this interior?

Was browsing today and was pretty surprised to see that new Q2 and SQ2 still have this interior design.

I’m in the UK so I’m not sure if the newer Q2s in other markets are any different but this looks almost identical to the interior of my old A3.

Does anyone know why Audi has kept this older style in the Q2? Also, does the infotainment screen actually pop in and out like it did on the older A3 or is it fixed in place?

Nothing says BMW quite like Angel Eyes

The Angel Eyes were honestly one of the best things about BMWs. Seeing those rings light up behind you at night was instantly recognisable and gave BMWs so much presence.

The newer headlights aren’t bad but they just don’t have the same character. I’ll miss these forever.

Red Leather S5 😍

Red leather can look a bit much in some cars but I think Audi absolutely nailed it here. I’d happily spend all night in this interior.

Thoughts on the M6?

Not many of these come up for sale around me but I’ve always thought they looked brilliant.

For anyone who’s owned one, what are they actually like to live with? Worth getting one in 2026 or a financial headache waiting to happen??

My old car is being sold with lower mileage than when I owned it

EDIT - I have checked the images and it has been altered on the cockpit

Sold my 2019 car about two months ago with exactly 68,000 miles on it.

I’d originally tried to sell through Carwow and Motorway but both were messing me around and my insurance was about to expire so in the end I sold it through WBAC. I took around £1k less than the other estimates but I needed it gone and was happy enough with the deal.

I really liked the car so out of curiosity I’d been keeping an eye out to see where it eventually ended up, ChatGPT did this for me by searching all used car sites daily.

Yesterday I finally found it. It’s now being advertised by what appears to be a perfectly legitimate dealership with loads of very good reviews.
There’s just one small problem, the car had 68k miles when I sold it. They’re advertising it with 60k.
So in the space of two months my old car has apparently travelled 8,000 miles backwards…

I have the records/evidence from when I owned and sold the car so I’m certain about the mileage it had when it left me. The last MOT was around 10 months ago so the discrepancy will not jump out at someone just checking the MOT history.

What makes it stranger is that knocking 8k off a car with this sort of mileage probably doesn’t even add a huge amount to its value so I can’t understand why anyone would take the risk.

I’ve currently contacted the dealer pretending to be a normal interested buyer because I wanted to see what they say before revealing that I’m the previous owner.

How would you handle this?
Would you confront the dealer directly and report it somewhere first, or gather as much evidence as possible before saying anything?
I’m not interested in turning up and causing a scene — I mainly don’t want some unsuspecting buyer paying for a car with a mileage history that doesn’t add up.

Maybe dated now but I miss this BMW interior

From a 2019 1 Series.
Clean, simple and driver focused. It might look a little dated next to today’s huge screens and digital cockpits but I honestly miss interiors like this. Everything was exactly where it needed to be and most importantly physical buttons!!!

Are UK drivers just being ripped off at the pumps?

Since the US Iran war started fuel prices have obviously gone through the roof. I understand that there are reasons for some of it but what frustrates me is how differently prices seem to react depending on which way costs are moving.

When fuel prices shoot up petrol stations somehow seem able to increase their prices almost immediately yet when it drops again and tensions calm down or there’s a temporary ceasefire, it feels like we’re lucky to get 2-3p knocked off over the next few weeks.

Regular unleaded where I am is now roughly £1.66 a litre and that’s before you even get into premium unleaded or diesel. At that price you’re looking at more than £91 to fill a normal 55 litre tank.

Then there’s the amount going in tax. Fuel duty is still 52.95p per litre and we then pay 20% VAT on the final pump price. At £1.66 a litre 81p of every litre is fuel duty and VAT alone. The government has at least extended the 5p fuel duty cut until the end of this year because of the war but with fuel still this expensive Burnham really should look at additional solutions.

Tesco actually had a pretty useful offer recently with 5% cashback on fuel for a couple of months. Obviously it wasn’t going to transform anyone’s finances but things like that can help when a tank is costing £80-£100.

One of the best things about Naruto was how deeply it explored what shaped each character

One of Naruto’s biggest strengths for me is just how much time it spends exploring the pasts of its characters and I don’t just mean Naruto and Sasuke.

So many characters get proper backstories where you see what they were like when they were younger, what they went through, who they lost and how all of that shaped the person you eventually meet. Pain is probably one of the best examples. Nagato started off as an innocent kid caught in a war that had nothing to do with him, lost his parents, then eventually found Yahiko and Konan and wanted peace. After everything that happened to him especially after Yahiko’s death that desire for peace became completely twisted into Pain’s ideology.

Same with Obito, before everything went wrong he was a kind kid who wanted to become Hokage and be acknowledged. Then you see exactly how he goes from that person to the man he becomes later.

Even side characters like Neji and Might Guy had real depth behind them. Neji’s obsession with fate makes much more sense once you understand the Hyuga branch family and what happened to his father. Guy seems like a comedy character at first but then you see his childhood, his struggles and his relationship with his father and suddenly so much about his personality makes sense.

Then there’s Hashirama and Madara, Naruto literally takes us generations into the past and shows them as children, losing their brothers during the war period and dreaming about creating a world where kids wouldn’t have to die fighting each other. That history eventually leads into the creation of Konoha and explains so much of what happens generations later.

Itachi is another obvious one. Seeing his childhood, his experiences and everything surrounding the Uchiha completely changes how you understand his character compared with when he’s first introduced.

There are so many other examples too such as Gaara, Kakashi, Rock Lee, even Kurama! All of them have very detailed backstories that explain their personalities, beliefs and relationships.

That’s probably one of the main reasons Naruto’s world has always stuck with me. Characters didn’t just feel like they appeared when the plot needed them. It felt like they had actually lived before we met them. It’s been a while since I finished the show yet i could still tell you the backstories of dozens of characters without even having to look them up.

Will Chinese cars break the German car stranglehold in the UK?

Genuinely think Chinese manufacturers could seriously shake up the UK car market over the next few years.

German brands have had an unbelievable grip on the UK. BMW, Mercedes, Audi and VW are everywhere especially if you want something that feels premium. But recently I’ve noticed more and more people looking at Chinese brands particularly EVs and when you see some of the deals available, it’s not difficult to understand why.

I recently went with a colleague to see a BYD Seal and I came away seriously impressed.
It wasn’t necessarily cheap but compared with what you’d have to spend on a similarly equipped German alternative, the value was ridiculous. The interior was genuinely beautiful, the seats were excellent, loads of technology, panoramic roof loads of kit as standard, good range and it drove really well. With a German manufacturer, half of that equipment would probably be buried inside £8,000 worth of option packs.

And BYD obviously isn’t the only one anymore. You’ve now got Omoda, Jaecoo, JAC, XPeng, and others appearing in the UK often offering very competitive monthly payments and huge amounts of standard equipment.

There still seems to be this attitude that anything Chinese is automatically going to be poorly built and fall apart after three years, but I’m not sure that assumption is going to survive much longer. A lot of these manufacturers are offering five, six or seven year warranties which gives buyers quite a bit of protection anyway.

I think more people are starting to question whether paying a massive premium just for a BMW, Mercedes or Audi badge is actually worth it anymore.
If you can get a car that looks good, drives well, has a strong warranty, comes absolutely loaded with equipment and costs substantially less per month, eventually the badge becomes harder to justify.

Change my viewpoint: the Uchiha massacre was not necessary at all

Look I understand why the elders were terrified of the Uchiha coup and the possibility of a civil war especially when other villages could’ve taken
advantage of Konoha being weakened.

But I still can’t accept that massacring an entire clan including innocent people and children was the only answer.

Honestly, this is one of the biggest reasons I think Hiruzen was the worst Hokage. I know he wanted a peaceful solution so I’m not saying he ordered the massacre himself but he was still the leader of the village and Danzo was his subordinate. Danzo was basically allowed to operate in the shadows, sabotage Shisui’s plan, steal his eye and eventually corner a 13 year old Itachi into an impossible decision.

I know the Uchiha weren’t innocent either and Fugaku was leading an actual coup so obviously Hiruzen couldn’t just ignore it and the situation had been building for years. After the Kurama attack the clan was pushed further away from the village which only made relations worse.

However, surely there were steps between “they’re planning a coup” and “kill every Uchiha.” Hiruzen could’ve negotiated with Fugaku or used Itachi and Shisui as mediators or addressed some of the clan’s grievances and dealt specifically with the people actually pushing for violence.

Also Fugaku never came across to me as some completely unreasonable psychopath either. Even at the end he refused to fight Itachi. That’s why I always wonder what would’ve happened if Minato had survived and remained Hokage. Obviously we can’t know for certain but I find it hard to imagine him letting Danzo gain that much influence or allowing the situation to deteriorate this badly.

The coup was wrong but the massacre still feels completely nonsensical to me.

Scamming Dealership threatening me after I exposed their fraudulence 😂

I posted about this scamming leasing dealership a little while ago after coming across a hilarious advert for a 2022 Lamborghini Urus at £700 per month with a £7,000 deposit over 24 months.

Given how far that appeared to be from what you’d normally expect to pay for a car of that value I questioned whether the offer was legitimate and people rightly pointed out they’re obviously scammers due to numerous reasons and all sorts of dodgy stuff about their page and operations.

As per above they’ve now contacted me directly saying my Reddit post contains statements they consider “false, misleading and potentially damaging to their reputation”, demanding that I remove it and warning that they may refer the matter to solicitors if I don’t! 😂

I’ve attached screenshots of both the advert and the message I received.
Scumbags like these need to be named and shamed.

£50k Budget – Is This the One?

Long story short, one of my mates owns a valeting business and has done really well for himself. He’s got around £50,000 in cash to spend on something that’s a real head turner. This Audi RS3 Vorsprung in green immediately caught both of our attention the colour and spec are spot on.

His budget is around the £50k mark, although he can stretch it a little for an exceptionally clean example with very low mileage. The only downside is the insurance. At 23 years old he’s been quoted around £3,300 a year. He can afford it, but it’s definitely a bit on the expensive side.

For context, he already owns a Mercedes A35, any other suggestions?

Unable to swallow liquids after a month of deteriorating

About a month ago I suddenly started having difficulty swallowing. It began with solid food feeling like it was getting stuck high up in my throat, and at the time I was bringing up and blowing out a lot of thick yellow mucus.

Over the following couple of weeks it has progressively worsened to the point where I can no longer eat solid food at all.

Now things have changed. The mucus isn’t the main issue anymore. Instead, my throat feels constantly tight with a severe globus sensation and frequent spasms. The sensation now feels lower down than it did initially. Every time I take a sip of water I burp, I constantly feel trapped gas that won’t come out, and my throat gurgles. Even swallowing saliva is uncomfortable. I’ve also started getting pain in my back, shoulders and face.

I’ve lost a significant amount of weight because I can barely eat and have mainly been surviving on soup and water. I’ve also fainted and collapsed twice and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
I’ve been to A&E four times, had multiple GP appointments and been assessed by an ENT specialist who performed a flexible camera examination through my nose into my throat. Apart from some inflammation, they couldn’t see anything structurally wrong and told me I now need to be seen by Gastroenterology. Every doctor I speak to says the same thing: “You need gastro.”

The problem is that in the NHS (UK) this has to go through the referral system and the waiting time is extremely long. Despite repeated A&E visits, GP appointments and worsening symptoms nobody has been able to get me reviewed by a gastroenterologist any sooner. I feel like I’m stuck between services while my symptoms continue to worsen.

Any advice would be appreciated as my anxiety and mental health is also going through the roof

Thank you

BMW absolutely nailed the 8 Series interior

The 2020-2025 8 Series has one of the cleanest modern interiors on the market in my opinion.

BMW absolutely nailed the balance between technology and driver focus. You get a crisp modern infotainment display without it being merged into one massive panel with the instrument cluster which makes the dashboard look much cleaner and more purposeful.

I also love that it still has plenty of physical buttons for the climate controls and key functions. It feels intuitive to use without having to jump through menus on the screen for everything.

For a 2025 model, it’s refreshing to see an interior that balances modern tech with physical controls. BMW got this one spot on! 🔥

This has to be a scam surely?…

Seeing more and more of these leasing pages popping up all over Instagram. Not saying they’re all scams as there are some decent ones which are used by a few people I know but this one definitely looks dodgy. there’s no way you’re getting a Urus on lease for £700 a month with £7k down.
How do these companies get away with stuff like this?

Extremely anxious about my first proper train journey as an autistic

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice because I’m honestly quite anxious about an upcoming train journey.

This will only be my second time travelling by train, but this time it feels a lot more overwhelming because I’m alone and there are multiple changes, different tickets, platforms, and stations I need to navigate.

I struggle with getting overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations due to my autism and my last train experience was a nightmare

I remember struggling massively to find the correct platform, panicking and walking around like a headless chicken asking people for help but not really getting anywhere.

I also had an issue where my ticket/app said I could sit in any available seat, but I kept being told I was in someone’s reserved seat, which made me really stressed because I didn’t understand how it worked.

I’m travelling soon and I’m trying to prepare properly this time. Does anyone have any advice mainly for:

finding platforms at big stations
changing trains
understanding seat reservations
what to do if I get confused?

Any tips would honestly be really appreciated. I just want to make sure I don’t panic and miss my train.
